If you are PIF, and DCL gave you the chance to cancel w/o penalty, would you?

Yes, IF they would also refund air and hotel (debating about adding the insurance we paid as well) OR if there was another cruise for the same duration and destination (there is not). However, DM did say, we could just vacay in CA for the 2 weeks.

This for me, too. I assume this question is due to the new alcohol policy? I am disappointed in the change but it's not a dealbreaker for us. This is our first ever cruise and is much anticipated.
You will have a wonderful time, don't let all these negative comments take away your anticipation! The cruise is awesome!

I've always thought the generous alcohol policy was nice in principle. But we've never actually taken advantage of it, so it doesn't directly affect us. Since my DH and I always fly in, we've never brought alcohol with us. A broken cab bottle in my checked luggage from the flight wouldn't set the vacation off on the right foot! :jester:

I was thinking about this very thing last night. For my family the answer is yes. We just aren't feeling the magic or the pixie dust anymore. We put a deposit down on a Baltic cruise. With airfare from the west coast the cost was well north of $20K. That doesn't include port excursions, extra hotels, transfers etc....that's a year of college for one of my kids or most of my daughters wedding costs. We just aren't seeing the value anymore.

No. I've been planning my next cruise for over 400 days. We have never taken alcohol onboard, so not a big deal for us. We love the relaxed atmosphere of cruising with Disney. The CM's are what make DCL fantastic!!!

No.

I've put way too much time and energy into getting this arranged and planned. Plus, the kids would be DEVASTED!

No. We have a non-refundable concierge deposit. Our next DCL cruise will probably be our last but not because of any of the recent changes. DCL just doesn't go where we want to go anymore. We took our first organized land tour in June through Tauck Bridges (similar to ABD) Ireland Forever. We absolutely loved the all inclusiveness of it, the unique tours and activities that appealed to the adults and kids in our group as well as the amazing places we stayed. So we are looking to do more of those to places like Australia, Asia South America and Africa. We are also looking at booking a river cruises through either ABD or Tauck Bridges. We will continue to cruise but just not on DCL. I just don't see any reason to pay the Disney premium for the same old thing.

No I wouldn't- but I am seriously considering not rebooking on board. They have changed two things since our PIF date. They have a few more weeks until our sail date to add to the list ( hopefully not). I can't book another vacation where amenities/ services/ policies advertised when I pay are taken away when I sail.
