A Muppets en(henson)ment?

Aside from my corny title, is anyone else speculative about a possible Muppets enhancement in Hollywood Studios? This is just speculation but based on the upcoming show and all, could we see maybe an addition or two to the park? Maybe not a ride, but another experience or dining option may work and not but into the other projects going on around the park. What do you think?

I think it would be great to have a new Muppets 3D movie...the current one has been there FOREVER! We don't usually even go anymore. I'd love to see an upgrade there....

I think we all would love an update there! I feel like not only is the movie outdated, but the whole 3D effect is not up to speed with other 3D movies. Definitely hoping for a change there in the near future.

I'm perfectly fine with the current movie (though I wouldn't mind if they cleaned it up digitally), rather than watching a bunch of wrong-sounding Muppets. That said, more Muppet experiences = :cloud9:

A dinner show would be nice where you are the audience of the muppets on stage performance. I am thinking the 70s 1/2 hour tv show.

You could have the old hecklers in balcony
The Swedish Chef cooking a meal just before they bring out the main entree
Here Kermit yelling in the back for people to get ready or Miss Piggy knocking someone out
Fozzy doing a cheesy comedy routine
Gonzo flying over the audience after being shot out of a cannon
etc.

I wouldn't have a problem with a new Muppets attraction, but I would really, really like there to be SOME sort of Muppets in the parks.

What a great idea! Awesome!

Just reading this thread is taking me back to my childhood. Loved watching the Muppet Show. :D

I believe when the Henson/Disney sale was first trotted out (before Jim Henson died and the deal fell through originally because he was part of the sale, and now he was dead) there were plans for a restaurant. I'd love a Muppet themed restaurant.

The muppets are such a fun part of the park, so they really should update a few things.

I'd love to see Disney bring back a few Muppets for a meet and greet maybe?

I agree! Some fine tuning would be nice.

I'd like to see the Muppets move to Futureworld in Epcot. I think they can use them to make science fun and maybe stick an updated version of the movie where Captain EO is
I completely agree- with Star Wars land coming.. I'm afraid the Muppet theater will need to be moved anyway... so why not move it to EPCOT to the Imagination Pavillion and save that sad...sad attraction... I cant even go in there anymore because i makes me feel so bad. Worst thing I ever did was go see Captain EO again last year... wish I just had my memory of how awesome it was when I saw it back in the 80's....

The Muppets are a popular IP, and move a large amount of merchandise, however they are not super-popular, which seems to be the basis of recent expansions. (Frozen, Avatar, Toy Story & Star Wars). So it's unlikely they would get their own expanded land, despite how awesome it would be.

The problem with using The Muppets in a pavilion like Imagination, is that they are such strong characters with a dry more mature style of humour, that they would either end up being totally neutered or would take over the pavilion and ruin it's original purpose.

(EDIT: posted midway through typing originally)

They are probably waiting for the new series to premiere to see how popular they really are and wheter they connect with modern audiences or not.

With the new Star Wars Expansion, I don't see how they stick around even though it would be perfect to update with the new ABC Series
