So we are staying at the Poly, first time, in October. I just got a 6:55 dinner (using Disney Dining Buddy-yay!)
SO what is this place like? Is it buffet, or do they bring it to the table, family style? Is it a lot of food to choose from? Any must haves??
I know it has great reviews, so I figured we'd try it since we're staying at the Poly-makes sense!
What about kids too? Do they have a kids' menu? (I'll have a 3 yr old) I didn't see anything on the website.

I'm excited I got the ADR, just want to know what to expect!! TIA!!!

In all my planning I've done over many years, I do not know why I have yet to check ALLEARS on Ohana!!!! Thank you for the reminder! :o With all the planning, I forgot the easy step...

I tried it last year for the first time and loved it. It's family style, they bring it to your table. They do have kids food. I can't remember exactly what but I know my nephew got a burger. Enjoy!!

LOVE 'Ohana! It's family style and they bring it to you. As much as you want!
Bread, salad, potstickers and chicken wings come first. Then noodles and veggies followed by the meat skewers! The shrimp are my favorite, but the chicken and steak are really good.
The highlight is the bananas foster bread pudding for dessert!

They have other items for kids. I remember DD getting nuggest, fries and mac and cheese.

Enjoy--'Ohana is a favorite of ours!

Thank you for the input!! I am so excited I got this ADR , I thought I was out of luck since I just put a request in for it thru DDB Friday, but I got the exact time I was hoping for. :genie:
So excited to try it with all the positive reviews!
Glad to hear they have food my 3 yr old will enjoy!! Cannot wait!!!

Ohana was OVERSTUFFED HEAVEN - my ONLY complaint - IT IS 100% A FAMILY JOINT. Like - I went with my friend (we are both mid-20s) - we went first week in June for a 5:45pm ressie and having the waiter dodge kids playing some coconut broom game and then having the kids kick one under our chair and then hit you with the broom - is not my ideal dining situation.

I'm going again with my DF (Disney Fiance) next month but later at night (9:15pm) and I'm going to get there like 30-20 min early so I can try to get a table away from the aisle way or something!

I was way annoyed when the kid hit me with the broom and them literally breathing on our food trying to fight for the coconut next back and forth but other than that I loved it.

We have kids but I have to admit that annoying singing woman is hard to listen to for any length of time. Maybe they keep her so people don't stay too long. Her voice grates on your nerves.

Ohana is awesome if you like Adult drinks I strongly recommend a Lapu Lapu.

Also All Ears is good but for whatever reason All ears for Ohana has not been updated since Nov.

The lettuce wrap is out and the description on the Disney Menu Page is most accurate.

Save room for dessert! We always need to ask the server to bring more before we even begin to enjoy the first serving. My DS could eat the entire dish himself! LOL!

If you really like something, don't be afraid to ask for extras of it. When we go, we tell the server to skip the wings and bring extra pot stickers, and bring twice as much dessert as normal.

We tried Ohana for the 1st time last week and boy have I been missing out. Our best meal all week by far! My kids DS (6) and DD (11) were a little picky about the options, but both were full by the time we were done. They did offer a standard kids option cheeseburger, chicken nuggets for the kids, but they just ate what was offered.

I know its not the norm here but I am not a fan of Ohana for dinner. Love the breakfast, didn't like the dinner at all. The apps were good wings and dumplings but I thought the meat on the main course was dry and emulsified. I ahvent gone back for dinner in years

As for the singer yes she sings....a lot..... the gets get maracas and do a parade around the restaurant
