Tony's Town Square Restaurant

Wasn't impressed...Mama Melrose in Hollywood Studios was much better! Had same meal (chicken parm) at both and found the quality was very much lacking at Tony's. Biggest thing for me was the sauce just ran right off the pasta.

Greasy, generic Italian food not worth the price nor wasting your precious WDW time.

well crap....:) i did notice that Tony's is the only restaurant that pops up when i keep checking for other restaurants....maybe i'll cancel ours....although its "free"o_O

Tony's is my daughter's favorite restaurant on property, and we've never had a bad meal there. People on the Dis tend to hate it but I've never understood why. Is it amazing food? No. Is it perfectly fine? Yes.

We ate there in June, I knew about the bad reviews, but my DD wanted to eat there because on our very first trip to Disney we ate there and she wanted to go back.

The food was terrible, and I am not a food snob at all (I actually like Olive Garden LOL) I ordered the Pasta Fagioli and Caesar Salad, I thought I couldn't go wrong with soup and salad....wrong. The soup taste like something you would get out of a can and the bag salad at the grocery, taste better than theirs. Dessert wasn't even that good. We won't be back anytime soon.

I actually like the food and have another ADR for September. Pretty darn good chicken Parmesan.

We've given it 2 tries, but we won't be back for a third. The last time I ordered the Spaghetti and Meatballs and the pasta was mushy and overcooked. Cooking pasta al dente shouldn't be that difficult.

We go every year and get the chicken parm and pistachio creme brulee. I think it is just fine. Never had a bad meal sometimes the service isn't so great but the food is just fine. I don't get the hate on the Dis for this restaurant, and the love for some that I wouldn't eat at. It really is a matter of opinion.

Agreed. My preference may not be someone else's. I cancelled a Via Napoli ADR last year for a Hollywood and Vine because of someone's recommendation. Every restaurant will have it's detractors and supporters. My wife and I have never had a bad meal or experience at Tony's, and liked it when the singers came to our table to sing their "Happy Anniversary" wishes to us.

We found Mama Melrose to be a hidden gem on our last trip after avoiding it for years. It's been almost 4 for Tony's so we are back there for an upcoming trip.

It used to be a must do for us but the last two times we went the service was horrible and the food was just meh. The first time we thought they were just having a bad day, the second time we knew it was something else. We haven't been back in 3 years.

I wasn't impressed, but really bc I asked for light sauce bc red sauce makes me queezy. I don't even eat it at home I usually just eat my pasta plan. Anyways I ordered the chicken parm. The chicken was ok, but they really piled the sauce on. I tried to scrape it off as much as I could. I didn't eat the pasta. I don't like to complain and I don't like to send food back. My kids and my hubby liked it though. They are all big sauce and pasta fans and no one else got sick from it. But in asking my older son where he would rather eat at on our up coming trip either Tonys or The Plaza, He chose the Plaza. He said the Plaza has better deserts, LOL

We ate at Tonys for lunch this past May. After reading all the posts online- I was very nervous but my son really wanted to eat in the Lady and the Tramp restaurant. We were seated quickly, the atmosphere was nice- we were in the sunroom facing Main Street and our server was friendly and helpful. I had a very good Salmon Salad w/ fennel and orange and my hubby had the chix parm, kids had pizza. We were on the deluxe plan- and had apps and desert as well- both good. Was it the best Italian that i have ever eaten in my life? No. But it was decent, not that greasy, hubby said chix parm was good. We would go back- its a terrific location and we left full and happy.

I'm not a fan of Italian food so I had the steak. It was wonderful and so was the creme brulee for dessert!
My tween granddaughter had the spaghetti & meatball and really liked it.
Service and atmosphere was very good. I will go back.
