Welcome to the cruise meet for the incredible holiday season Fantasy 7 night cruise Itinerary D departing December 3, 2016!!! We'll be surrounded by Christmas decorations, the amazing smell of hundreds of pounds of the gingerbread in the atrium and sail to Tortola, St Thomas and the paradise island of Castaway Cay.

Let the planning begin....

Please reply and tell us a little about you and your travel mates, your hopes and dreams for this vacation, and how you feel about participating in fish extender exchanges...(we can't wait)

About me - I am a DIS board-addicted mother who first found out about the joys of cruising with the Mouse when my DD was just 13 and my twin DSs were 10. We were hooked. But as the kids hit college, tuition replaced vacation expenses...

Last December, in the midst of a terrible family illness, my daughter and I took advantage of an unbelievable Wonder GTY rate and discovered just how incredible the DCL holiday theme is...it was a terrific break and knew we had to go again.

My daughter is a very successful labor and delivery nurse from Chicago. I am so grateful she shares my Disney addiction but I think her many trips to WDW, beginning as a toddler, may have helped. I am a college professor who lives in Indianapolis.

We look forward to meeting our fellow DIS cruisers!

Adventure is out there!!!!

Hi Barb and Evamarie,
We are so excited to be on the Christmas Decorated sailing as well! A little about my family....
As you may have determined from my signature (storknurse13), I was an L&D nurse for a very long time. I will graduate this Saturday with my MSN-WHNP! Glad it's over but looking into DNP programs now. We live in Chesapeake Virginia about 10 minutes from Virginia Beach. My DW and I were both L&D nurses. Although she has since found a profound passion and amazing talent in baking and designing beautiful cakes, she shares in the love of women's health.
We have 3 children: DD 9 at time of sailing, DS 7 but will turn 8 the day we debarked, and DS 5. We have three dogs; a 10 year old Yorkiepoo and two 8 month old labradoodles. This will be our 5th sailing on Disney and we love it. We have sailed countless other lines until we found the Disney way. We just returned from an RCI cruise a week ago ( the travel company that I work for did a conference at sea) but we returned wondering why we did it. It doesn't even compare to the service and superb magic that Disney emulates! So even if we can only afford to cruise twice a year, it will always be with Disney.
Our family too is also interested in doing the FE. What great fun it is!
Hopefully someone will volunteer to head up ours. Maybe even coordinate a few tastings for the group too!
I would love to help set things up but I am a little hesitant to be the lead right now until I get through boards and job hunting!
So I have rambled on too long and I'm sure you know way more about our family than you ever wanted too so I will wrap it up!
I hope we continue to have a great turn out for our meet link!
Kathy

Hello all,

I surprised my girlfriend with our first DCL cruise, a 3 day on the Dream, this past May and we loved it. We took advantage of the OBB offer and I had heard a lot about the DCL holiday cruises. From our experience on the 3 day, we knew our next cruise had to be longer. So we went looking for a 5+ day cruise and this one was perfect since my girlfriend is a Christmas-aholic (she wants to start watching Christmas movies this weekend).

We both work in medicine, I work in medical research and my girlfriend works with children at an outpatient mental health facility as a Case Manager.

I can't wait to do the FE! I thought about doing it on the 3 day but I'm glad I chose not to because there was barely enough time to do the normal cruise stuff, much less FE.

kl11487, so nice to meet you!
she wants to start watching Christmas movies this weekend.
One of the greatest memories of our December, 2014 cruise was room service breakfast in jammies watching A Christmas Story...heavenly!

We will have a great trip!!!

I have added your thread to the cruise meet list pixiedust:

Hello!!!!!! I am so excited we have an page now! :) My name is Jessica and I will be traveling with my husband Kellon, daughter Kaiden (8 at sailing) and son Kiellon (6 at sailing). We love Disney and have done the parks at Christmastime but this will be the first cruise during the season. We will certainly want to sign up for the FE also when it is up, that is one of my favorite parks of cruising. :) My husband is a pilot in the Army and I stay at home and homeschool the little ones. We live in Northern VA right outside of Washington DC. I love to plan Disney trips and already have some ideas about outfits and FE gifts. I am looking forward to spending a week with all of you and Mickey. :)

Jessica,
Glad to meet you! We live in Chesapeake, VA. At time of sailing our kids will be 9, 7, 5 so hopefully they will all be able to meet! Looking forward to the cruise but it's a bummer it is so far away. But it does give us time to prepare!

DH and I are on this cruise. This will be our first cruise w/o kids. We have been on 3 prior cruises, all during the summer. We are looking forward to cruising during a different time of year. It will be fun.

Hi everyone!!!:wave2:My name is Rhona, I'll be joining you on this cruise with my DH, Kobus (cabin 5052) & we live in Johannesburg, South Africa...

Due to the loooong, expensive Transatlantic flight & our weak currency/ US$ exchange rate we can unfortunately only cruise every few years (in a perfect world I would do at least 1 trip to the US every year, even if it's just for the awesome shopping!), but that just makes it all the more exciting & special to us when we actually do have the opportunity to vacation in the US at WDW/ DCL (we always try to fit in a few days at WDW prior to our cruise)...

This will be our 5th Disney sailing (previously 3 on the Dream & 1 on the Fantasy), so afterwards we'll finally be Gold Castaway Club members (yay!)... 3 of our previous cruise have been during the holiday season so I can personally attest to just how special these holiday cruises really are! During this upcoming cruise we'll also be celebrating 2 milestones: my 40th birthday as well as our 19th wedding anniversary...

We're very much looking forward to definitely participating in FE again & hopefully there will be lots of other group tastings & exchanges scheduled to enjoy as well...

Hello everyone!! We are very excited for our first Disney cruise. We will be celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and my husband's 50th. It will be myself DW (46), DH (50), DD (9) in one cabin and the my sister-in-law (41), brother-in-law (48), their DS (8) and DD (10) in another cabin.
My husband and I have been DVC owners, at VGC, since 2008, and love that we jumped in with both feet, because it has been the best decision we could have made regarding vacations. My husband and his brother own a heavy/highway construction company and my sister-in-law and I work in the office....obviously we all get along if we can work together everyday and vacation together too.
We are very excited for this adventure and really do not know what we are in for yet, but according to most reviews we are going to love it!!! Can't wait!

You will LOVE the cruise! There is nothing quite like it. :)

Hi Everyone!!!!

This cruise is soooo far away!! But we are so excited. We are a family of 5, at the time of the cruise our kids will be 6, 3, and 1 and hubby (34) and myself (27). Hubs works in law enforcement and I am a stay at home mother and wife. We took a 3 night last year and thought it was the most amazing trip ever! We usually do disneyworld once or twice a year. We are hoping some of our friends will join us still, but it is hard to convince someone to take such an expensive trip when they have never been and dont understand the "magic". Cant wait to do fish tails for our first time and look forward to getting very crafty.

Welcome sause309! We will have a fantastic cruise!
Looking forward to starting fish extender planning but think it'd be better to wait until the cruise is a bit closer. At least we will drop under 400 days in just 5 days!
My 2016 calendar has a daily countdown but I just couldn't start that yet.
Once again, looking forward to sharing the magic with you, Barb
