ABD Polos available for guests?

Who else would like to buy ABD Polos (not to wear on the trips...but for advertisement at home)????

@DisneyKevin---Kathy told me to ask you about it. Maybe you could convince ABD that it would be profitable for them. The old logo...river and mountains with Adventures by Disney would be Fabulous!!!

I want two just for me! And another for DH. Not necessary to "date" (2015, etc)...just the ABD logo on a collared shirt! Happy to see that I'm not Alone!!!

Interesting thought....my idea was not to wear them on the actual trip to avoid confusion about who was the Guide...are you thinking specific to the trip? I was thinking a general ABD shirt....like the Guides previous logo. I have one similar from the Adventurers Club in DTD. They had them for a short time many moons ago.

We have a great black ABD baseball hat we received on our first ABD in 2007--very high quality (like the backpacks were that year). I would *love* to see them do something like that again. I don't care for the canvas tote bags (of which I know have 4) and I really dislike the iPad cases (which we had 4 of until we gave 3 to the local salvation army). Even t-shirts would be appreciated (maybe with the trip on it?). My friend received a very cute knit hat on her central european ABD--would love to be able to buy one of those!

There were ABD items available through the Disney Store for a while--shirts, caps, mugs etc--but they didn't sell well; there were some clearance sales and then the product line was dropped. I think this was back in 2009 or 10...

I was not thinking anything specific when to wear them but you planted a seed. Wouldn't it be nice if ABD did a follow up mailing and mailed a shirt with their logo and the name of the trip which you just completed. It still would be less expensive than a backpack which I'm sure everyone has multiples. We just returned last month from a Nat Geo trip and they give everyone a magnetic engraved name tag with their logo. In a hotel I was searching for an ice machine and ran into a lady carrying ice. I inquired about the machine's location and she thought I was a guide. She said laughing, "I would think a guide would know these things" in good jest. I had to explain I'm only a "vacationing fool" and not qualified to guide. So I can understand your belief about participant / guide problem.

As someone else pointed out, ABD used to sell merchandise and for whatever reason, decided to stop doing it.

My guess is that the amount sold was so small that it didn't warrant placing the order.

I have suggested in several meetings with ABD that the things mailed to guests should be useful. Some will remember the army green "backpack" that no one could figure out and didn't last one full use.

i think the things being sent now are of some actual use.

If an ABD shirt is on your wish list, I am sure you could find someone that does embroidery to add the logo to a polo shirt.

We are often mistaken for CMs at WDW, just because we help lost guests who look bewildered....

*Most (?) on this thread came to ABD trips several years after merchandise was available. I had no idea that Disney ever did it. Since there seems to be new interest, maybe they would revisit the idea?

ABD luggage tags would be a nice idea for "The Box" before the trip.

Wouldn't it be Copyright Infringement to have a shirt "made"???

BTW....you pointed me to Giacomini Ceramics and the vase we shipped home still has a place of honor in our living room! Thanks Much!
