Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB RESORTS Information & Questions

I feel the same way!! Although I didn't even see the frozen treat shack!? Where is it in relation to Hurricane Hanna's? Is it possible it opened right after we left on the 16? Or was I just in my Disney zone and totally oblivious?

Not sure when this reopened. Erika's report yesterday was the first I have seen. She said that they tried this over spring break and it was successful so they are trying it for the summer.

The snack shack is located near the SAB activities pool, where the volleyball net is.

sorry, just saw this. Beach Club, my sister's getting married the 24th and her reception is at Ariels. :bride: we're pretty excited. hopefully construction will be done soon!

Congratulations to your sister and family!

I know the work is expected to wrap up around then and to my knowledge it is rooms only, no work planned on the lobby/walkway areas of the resorts. While recent reports are that noise can be heard from the BC lobby while they were working on 2nd and now 1st floors (near secret exit), I don't know if the noise can be heard from the area near the YC/Ariels.

If anyone happens to be in that area, near Crews Cup/Captain's Grill, etc ( @Best Aunt ) can you let us know if you noticed any construction noise.

:thumbsup2

Trying to make a few dining reservations for my night at the Beach Club, and looking for reviews since I've never been to the Boardwalk area.

Lunch(Drinks and Apps) at ESPN Club
Dinner at Captain's Grills
Breakfast at Trattoria al Forno

Thanks!

I don't have time to make it over to the Restaurant forums anymore, but you should definitely search those boards.

I had friends who raved about the Margaritas from ESPN. And they know their margaritas! :drinking1 ;)

I have a few reviews of all meals (breakfast, lunch and a couple of dinners) at Captain's Grille on Page 1 of this thread (Post 7, dining). My family has enjoyed all of our meals there.

Teena had a fantastic dinner at Trattoria. I haven't read any breakfast reviews but plan on dining there in August. Too late to give you a review, though.

My daughter stayed up and made all of our fp on Sunday at midnight! We got everything we wanted.
I had read that someone who made their fp the night before couldn't get wishes fp but we were able to
and my daughter said they were available all week except for the nights of the halloween parties.

She told me there were even Elsa and Anna fp still available!

I am so looking forward to this vacation! I'm hoping to relax at SAB with a sunken treasure or two and
spiked dole whips!! My daughter is pregnant with our first grandchild so I guess I'll be drinking for her too!
:rolleyes1

I have a quick question and the search and I did not get along. Can anyone share the Beach Club guest services email address? I know that I can send a compliment to WDW guest services, but I want to also include the manager of the Beach and Yacht club guest services as it was one of the CM's in this department who was stellar. TIA!!!

Thank you so much for recognizing CMs who helped make your trip special!

I don't have any resort-related emails other than the ones for concierge IPO.

When I want to send a letter with comments about my trip or to praise a CM, I send an email to Disney guest services and I copy the Beach & Yacht Club resort manager in a letter:

email wdw.guest.communications@disneyworld.com

or send a letter to:

Walt Disney World Guest Communications
Executive Offices
Post Office Box 10040
Lake Buena Vista, Florida 32830-0040

When you write or email, please include your name, address, phone number and email address.

If it is a comment specific to the Yacht & Beach Club, you can write to the General Manager of the resort (perhaps copy Guest Communications as well):

Mim Flynn, General Manager
Disney's Yacht and Beach Club Resorts
1800 EPCOT Resort Boulevard
Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830

Anyone know if the frozen treat stand is accessible from outside the pool area? From the picture, it doesn't look like it.

We do day trips to WDW quite often and would love to stop by there.

On a side note, I heard that she started working at WDW when it opened.

I wonder if there will be any special event this November in honor of the 25th anniversary of the BC/YC.

It's funny that you said that. A couple weeks before our last BC stay my DW and I were watching some crime show, maybe 20/20, where the husband was accused of slowly poisoning his wife with Antifreeze. You should have seen the look I got when I came back to our chairs and handed her a Sunken Treasure. :duck:
:drinking1:laughing: Too funny

Where the heck was I? How did I not notice over the course of 9 days at SAB that Dole Whip Floats were available at SAB?!?!?! I saw the frozen treat shack but didn't pay attention to details. Jeez.....

I feel like I need to hand in my "I LOVE BC" card. I'm hanging my head in shame. Thank you Erika for letting us know about this very important detail!

Yesterday at about 11:40 am I went from Beach Club lobby to Yacht Club Lobby.

beach Club lobby smelled fishy when I got close to Cape May Cafe. But not anywhere else in the lobby.

I did not notice any construction noise. But they were trying to dig up something in the sidewalk area in front of Yacht Club entrance (facing Boardwalk). Not sure what they were doing. it started raining during lunch, so they left.

Bell services guy said he heard that BCV remodel was supposed to start after BC remodel finished. But after the designs were drawn up, somebody apparently decided they needed to be changed. He did not have a timetable.

My room at BCV faced BCV pool. Will post pics when I get home. Only noise came from one very loud adult. Once he left, noise was not an issue. Was on 4th floor.
