Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB RESORTS Information & Questions

That print is not available in the Art of Disney stores either. I looked because I wanted it too. I purchased the "Vision" print of Walt walking on the land where the Castle would eventually stand and the Castle superimposed into the picture. I adore it! But what I totally want is the new BC shower curtain. And since I'm reaching for the sky, I'd also like to procure a Mickey lamp from before the refurb. Wishful thinking.......

According to Erika's live report pictures it looks like the infamous dole whip float has made its way to BC!

There is a while frozen treat section where they used to rent the tubes and sold the noodles

Dole whips and the new frozen sunken treasures - can this trip get any better?
What? No way!!

Trying to make a few dining reservations for my night at the Beach Club, and looking for reviews since I've never been to the Boardwalk area.

Lunch(Drinks and Apps) at ESPN Club
Dinner at Captain's Grills
Breakfast at Trattoria al Forno

Thanks!

When I ordered a Sunken Treasure my friend told me it looked like antifreeze lol :-)

It's funny that you said that. A couple weeks before our last BC stay my DW and I were watching some crime show, maybe 20/20, where the husband was accused of slowly poisoning his wife with Antifreeze. You should have seen the look I got when I came back to our chairs and handed her a Sunken Treasure. :duck:

LOL! But are you sure it wasn't the story of the wife slowly poisoning her husband (he died) her adult son (he died) and one of her two adult daughters (she survived-the other daughter was in with the mom on the poisoning)? I ask because this happened in my town-the woman was caught when staff alerted security (who called police) when the mom and other daughter were acting inappropriately in the ICU (laughing and talking about going on vacation-after the staff discovered she had recently lost her husband and son).

OMGosh when I was in the Marketplace tonight asking about that picture she said someone had been down asking about the shower curtain!!!!! :rotfl::rotfl:

okie.. what is this sunken treasure... lol

The short answer- the Sunken Treasure was a signature drink at Hurricane Hanna's. It was removed from the menu, but many of us (lead by Disneymomx7, I believe) would not "Let it Go". We continue to order it and most of the bartenders at SAB and other places at the Beach & Yacht Club will make it on request. There are rumors that some people may even have laminated recipe cards that they bring on vacation and even to local bars when in need of a fix... :rolleyes1

Here's the longer version, from the Community Post on Page 1 of this thread:

Sunken Treasure: The unofficial beverage of the Beach and Yacht Club FAQ forum:

Contents: Malibu Rum, Midori, orange juice, pineapple juice and Sprite with a splash of BOLS Blue Curacao.

Thanks, pixarmom, Feckless, WDW4us2006 and Ninja Mom for the photos!

Please note that the Sunken Treasure is no longer on the menu at Hurricane Hanna's, however if you get a bartender who knows how to make the drink, you may still be in luck!

They totally should sell this stuff, I mean hello people would so buy it!!! Myself included :wave2: Maybe by the time when I go 2016 they will have changed their minds :-)

Where the heck was I? How did I not notice over the course of 9 days at SAB that Dole Whip Floats were available at SAB?!?!?! I saw the frozen treat shack but didn't pay attention to details. Jeez.....

I feel like I need to hand in my "I LOVE BC" card. I'm hanging my head in shame. Thank you Erika for letting us know about this very important detail!

I feel the same way!! Although I didn't even see the frozen treat shack!? Where is it in relation to Hurricane Hanna's? Is it possible it opened right after we left on the 16? Or was I just in my Disney zone and totally oblivious?
