***The Official April 2016 Thread!***

Mousemommy1... Learned of GoogleFlights today and did the very same thing! Went from $1850 for three of us to $778 for the EXACT SAME FLIGHTS! Needless to say, today is a GREAT day! Thanks to all the fellow Disers for great advice, heads-up, and directions. See you all in April ✌

I can't believe the whole Google Flights debacle....I was holding my breath until all charges went through. They finally did today and I got a refund for the double booked airfare. :)

Can't beat 5 seats for $1300 anywhere!!!

I'm so excited!!! So far, I've got:

1) airfare -- PIF
2) 2 nights AoA -- PIF
3) 4 night cruise on the dream -- 30% paid

Now I am hoping for a renewal of the military discount so I can book our last 2 nights at AKL CL.

Worrying about airfare is the worst part, because you just never know.....I'm glad that's over with.

Ain't that the truth. I sweat that airfare cost every year. We usually go in February and not only do we worry about the airfare cost, but flying out of Syracuse in February is rolling the dice. Two years in a row got out by the skin of our teeth in between two coastal winter storms...ugh!

Ten days at Port Orleans Riverside for us...we do a different moderate every year, although we haven't been in April since 2000.

Our countdown tickers crack me up...they are like a day apart :) You and I are two Disney Planning peas in a pod...my next obsession is ADRs in October.

I love April!!!! This will be our 3rd time in April, including our trip this year. It's literally my favorite time to go. It also happens to fall on our oldest daughters birthday so next year will be her 3rd Disney birthday. It tends to make our younger daughter jealous. (Her birthday is close to Thanksgiving and we did Disney at that time once....and never again, lol).

Our little guy was born in January and I'd love to go then, but the older girls school schedules won't allow. :(

We won't have a ton of ADR's because our focus is the cruise this trip, but while at AKL CL we want to finally eat at Sanaa, BOMA and possibly Jiko...none of those are hard to get.

Our big park focus is getting our little guys 1st haircut at the Main St. barber shop!!!

we also scored air with google flights with JB! I got us all roundtrip nonstop flights from BDL to MCO for 1,008.80. so happy! We are paid in full for air, room, food $$ on gift cards and our nonexpiring tickets.... all set!

oh the flight stress. from Syr too and wasn't in a position to book flights right when they came out. our plans are still in flux and it wouldn't make sense to book. now i'm terrified the cost of flights might force us to change our plans completely . . . . . this is the first time we've had to coordinate with a school break. really want to go april 24-30!!

Ooohhhh ahhhh and woooo whooooo Look what I got in the mail today!!!! If I had any rhythm I'd do the Happy
Dance. :cool1:

I'm trying to decide between 4-day MYW tix, 4-day Water Park & More MYW tix or 5-day MYW tix. Will it be warm enough at the beginning of April for the water parks or should we just stick to the resort pool?

This is my first post here, but my girlfriend and I settled on the dates of April 26th-30th 2016 to go back to Disney World today and it has made me very excited! I finally had my first Disney experience last year when I was 21 (so late haha), when we decided to go to Disneyland Paris on a bit of a whim when we were travelling around Europe and I immediately fell in love. I wasn't even really a Disney fan before then! My gf kept insisting that Disneyland is better though, as she had been many times, and we intended to go to that one next, but we ended up going to Disney World (because we also wanted to go see the Harry Potter stuff at Universal) in February this year for Valentine's Day and it was amazing! We only had 3 days at the parks, and we really felt like we needed 1 more day as we had to skip some stuff we wanted to do, so 5 days should have us covered this time! Then we are doing 3 days in Disneyland on the way back, so I can experience that park yay, before heading to Las Vegas, then home.

I live in New Zealand, so it's an awfully expensive holiday, particularly with the exchange rate being so bad, but I have lots of time to save before then luckily. And now I have my heart set on going to Hong Kong and Tokyo Disneyland sometime in 2017 too... :rolleyes1 And then I am regretting my haphazard planning of Paris and wanting a redo, but I can't even think about that...

Anyway, I lurked on these boards when planning the last trip, but decided to sign up this time. Only 282 days to go!

EDIT: Oh and we are planning to stay at Riverside, because we stayed at French Quarter last time and loved it, but we think we should stay somewhere at least a little bit different this time.

The last time we were there in April it was hit or miss. I'm not 100% if they'll be open or not.

Yay! Sounds like fun! I'll add yup dates when I get home next week (the mobile site hates letting me edit)

Can it be April already?!?!?!

We have neighbors down in Disney this week, staying at the Poly, and we keep seeing all of the pics on FB and I just want to be there now. (and we were just there in April...and August before that)

I have a real problem.

For april vacations we book the morning of the extension.... And then watch them climb as the days pass.
Yes! Booked ours that morning (at ridiculously high prices!) and have watched the prices go up over $1,300 for four tickets since I booked. Zoinks!

I'm going with my parents, my husband and our two children -- DD who will be 12 and DS who will be 8. I think our in park days are April 17 to April 21. The trip is a treat from my parents and it's the kids' first time going. My parents and I haven't been since I was 5 or 6 years old --- one of my memories is taking the monorail from the parking lot and seeing the Epcot ball being partially constructed, so I've been joking that it's pretty much my first trip as well.

The kids don't know when we're going, but they do know it's likely we're going as my parents gave them the choice between WDW and a Disney cruise. We're taking a train from Connecticut and staying in one of the hotels in Downtown Disney.

I had a bit of an expensive change of heart and just booked to stay at the Bay Lake Towers from April 26th to 30th instead of Riverside. I'm so excited to be so close to Magic Kingdom.

Hi everyone! So excited to find this thread! We are doing our trip April 28 through May 3rd. My husband has a conference so we are making it into a short vacation as well. We are staying at the Grand Floridian. Traveling is my husband, me and our two kids 8 and 5 at time of the trip. We are from Southern California and Disneyland AP. I know our trip isn't very long but with school I am trying to avoid my kids missing too many days. So just pouring over everything here on the disboards trying to figure out how to best plan everything!

I remember the Epcot ball being built my first time to WDW too. It was February 1981. It took me 20 years to return. Welcome back!

Another family from Massachusetts here, heading down for April Break. Our dates are April 15-22, and we're staying at the Beach Club. This'll be our third trip (my boys will be 11 and 14 when we go). Counting the days already!

These are all great! :) Today's my recovery day between my road trip and WDW so I'll update our front page :) Let me know if I miss anyone!
