You can infringe a patent and never make any money off it.

I also can't imagine them copying technology that will have been deployed by Universal eight years before Avatarland opens. I'm holding out hope this will be something new and good.

No - I don't think they could go along as far as they have in Pandora with a patented piece of equipment. My suggestion was that it would show up in a Star Wars ride - one that wouldn't even start construction until 2017. After all, I would assume they would have to buy the actual equipment from the company.

You have one large screen not two. The screens are on the corners of the building. this will have higher capacity than soarin but I'm not positive on just how much higher it will be.

I just (roughly) mapped the two show buildings out on MapMyRun. Obviously not scientific, and I had to guess a little bit with the Pandorin' building as it doesn't look like the whole building is built yet. But I came up with a diameter of .14 miles for Soarin' and .16 for Pandorin' so they are roughly the same size. Maybe it is taller and will have additional rows though.

It can definitely be used for DHS, but assuming that Kuka is not allowed to supply arms until 2017, it's safe to expect that Pandora will feature a different kind of technology. At the end of the day, I don't really see the point of installing kuka arms in a theater-like environment when other type of simulators can do the job as well.

Some years ago before Uni won the exclusivity deal, there was a rumor of an Incredible's coaster featuring kuka arms that was cancelled because of the deal between them and Uni. Don't know if there were actual plans for that, but it'd be a pretty cool ride for the Pixar expansion. A Star Wars coaster with that technology could work great as well... But then again, if Disney comes up with a different ride system that will make justice to the story, they don't really have to build that sort of ride at the risk of being compared to FJ.

Hmm, with most of the show floor focused on Shanghai and Avatar, that leaves a fair amount of time to be covered in that 1.5 hour block. I guess they could talks about Disney Springs for and more then an hour, but I find that doubtful. Fingers crossed.

Yeah... They'll probably save the big plans for the next D23 since it's still soon to talk about SWL, but I think we'll get the official announcement along with maybe some concept art.

I wonder if anything is being announced for DL though.

Well as for Disneyland insiders have said a Star Wars announcement will happen for them but of course are skeptical about the DHS Star Wars announcement. Some also say marvel will be announced. Pretty much all say some type of DHS announcement should be made its just what exactly will it be is the question.

Apparently the projections at fantasmic have been upgraded.

Can't say I wouldn't appreciate some updates to both Fantasmic! shows as far as content goes. It would be so awesome if that huge Ursula float that was used in the show originally would make a comeback.

The show is great as it is, and it's probably not happening anytime soon, but some enhancements wouldn't hurt.

I am really glad this just happened because I thought I had just been really unobservant when I watched it Wednesday.

During the bubble section, they now include scenes from Tangled and Princess and the Frog. I'm not sure if any other updates (I wasn't really looking for changes. Rapunzel and Tiana are a very stark contrast to the rest of the bubbles that they popped out to me tonight. I will be on the lookout for more on Monday)

If you buy MemoryMaker though, you are free to download every picture they take though still... correct?

Yes. The watermark only shows up on the preview of photos that you are not entitled to download. Once you activate MM (note: having purchased it is not enough to get rid of the watermark. You have to actually activate it by downloading a photo) then the watermark disappears.

My club would be fun - because it would essentially be the Adventurer's Club. I would definitely let you join, since I'm guessing you'd bring beer.

That would be a safe assumption. I currently have 6 different styles on tap. And you couldn't keep me out of the AC.

That's basically soarin. While yes you will be in front of a large screen, you will be theoretically on a banshee moving around a lot more.

Similar to soarin except for the addition of vertical movement during "flight". You can see in the video the ability to add sudden drops and lifts-- Soarin just has pitch and yaw. And in the pitch department-- the seats seem to individually pitch which will create a more sudden shift also. I think this is probably what's coming.
