Surprise! We're going to Disneyland...with Cass, Rob & Kira

Great wrap up although I don't like hearing you don't know when you'll be back!

Wow Cass! What an amazing trippie! I even got Chuck to read it with me on the big screen. You know, that 108" tv we have. Lol!!!

I loved all the pics especially the cameo of my favorite Canadian.

This was probably one of my favorite trippies cuz everything was all new to us.

When's the next one?

Cass, I haven't commented any throughout your report, but I have followed along and loved every last word of it...just like every other Cass TR! As always, thank you for sharing your trip with us. I absolutely love seeing how muck Kira has grown. You and Rob are incredible parents!

Loved your report.

By the way just wanted to chime in about the CM's chatting. It drives me nuts in any professional situation when I can hear workers discussing outside work (at the bank, a restaurant, etc.) but I'm surprised the pool lifeguards were. They have a very specific way of "Graphing" (not sure the exact term) the pool and I can attest to this as at The Grand last May my DD3 (at the time) fell off a step and underwater and the lifeguard got to her from the FAR SIDE OF THE POOL faster than I did sitting on a chair in front of her.

I was amazed and thankful. And my brother (who used to be a lifeguard on cruise ships) that they graph the pool and watch areas so specifically that that's how they are always aware of what's going on. Next time you go watch how they do this weird hand motion all the time. We haven't stayed at the DLH with a little one so I don't know for sure their pool also does this but I would assume so.

So not AT ALL to negate what you're saying, I just think that may have been a fluke group you got. And sorry you did. I too like my vacation to be quiet and worry free----even of other people's worries :)

Yeah, I don't like it either, Jill :scared: Flights are just so expensive from Canada! They are, at the very cheapest, about $500 each for LAX and $700 for MCO, so we have to pay about $1500-$2000, just to get our butts to Disney!!! :crazy2:

I'm glad you enjoyed it from your 120" High-def TV :p

There was a cameo by Mike Myers??? Where????

Thanks Missy! I appreciate you letting me know you read it :goodvibes :thumbsup2

We were there 4 different days/times and it was the same each time. I could tell you DETAILED stories of these lifeguards lives!!! It was so bad :worried:

I stayed 4 nights at the Grand last February and it was the same at that pool too, although not nearly as bad as the Disneyland Hotel, just some chatter here and there but it was definitely noticeable!

I just think some people are better at their jobs than others o_O

Thanks for reading

I just found your report yesterday and really enjoyed it! Thanks for the effort you put into it. :)

Just found your TR The other day (followed you over from the DLR food picture thread, but I have seen you in Jen's TR's especially when you guys were in DLR last year) and finished it just now. My DH and I have been bouncing around the idea of trying DLR this year instead of WDW and I have been absorbing as much as I can. I enjoyed reading about your fun trip, so sorry you didn't feel well on the last full day. I have had a few of those Iron infusions, too.

Hi Cass! Oh my but do you write the best trippies!! It was so nice to read about you and your lovely family, and my how Kira has grown!! She is adorable, aww! I spread myself way to thin so I missed your last report I think but I'm going read that in just a few. People say how your writing style is so detailed and that's true because you really seem to scratch that Disney itch! Haha yeah but it's true, because I remember years back before you and Rob had Kira in one of your live reports you took requests and so I asked if you guys could eat a Mickey bar for me. Low and behold the next day in your report there was a picture of Rob a Mickey bar and holding up a piece of paper that said "Kristina this is for you"! Amazing because it felt like I was there! Gahh!! So sweet!! I'll always remember you guys for that. Wishing you all the best and I hope you can visit again sooner rather than later yeah. :goodvibes :thumbsup2

I just found your TR today and read through the whole thing! I loved it! You had an amazing trip with lots of surprises for Kira. I love how you are so detailed and include the good with the bad. I can't wait until October when I take my son for his 7th birthday trip and use some of the tips you shared. I have read a lot about Disneyland but not really any of the history, what books would you recommend I start with to learn more?

Thanks for your post

I highly recommend doing Disneyland, especially this year with the big 60th going on :cool1:

Jen agrees with me, it totally rocks and we both want to get back again very soon ::yes::

Hello my dear Kristina!!! :wave2:

I still remember doing that, for you, in front of the castle in MK

Thanks for the kind words! I love writing trippies because I get to relive my trip while writing it and then I get to read it over and over again when I need a fix and want to remember the good times :woohoo:

I have a really good memory (although it's not as as good as it used to be!) so I try to write as many details in my reports that I can remember, otherwise I forget them as years pass :scratchin

I have my three WDW 2013 videos and my DCL 2013 video posted on Youtube, if you wanna watch them ;) :thumbsup2

Take care

Glad you found it  and I always tell it like it is! I think it helps others to either expect something or to keep clear of something or just judge for themselves with a warning

Ohhh your son is going to LOVE it

I would recommend The Disneyland Story that is posted in that pic on my first post. I will caution you that it is rather intimidating and throws a LOT of facts at you very quickly. I read it in parts, which really helped. You can also find tons of great info out there on the web, just google Disneyland history :thumbsup2

I am a visual person though so I really enjoyed the YouTube videos that I found, there's quite a few out there if you are willing to search for them. Enjoy :goodvibes

Spent the day off reading your report. Sounds like you had a great trip. Also, Plaza Inn you can fill your drinks up :)

During our first visit, hubby had forgotten to get a drink so I went up and got one. When I got to the cashier I asked "Is there free refills with this?" and he very clearly said "No". :guilty:

Wish I could see them, but it doesn't work on the german youtube version, because of your background music. It's not licensed to be played here. :sad2::sad1: ah well... So please go back to Disney soon, that I can read another report. :P:D

Glad you had a great trip all in all! :thumbsup2

GREAT JOB!! The music matches the video so well and flows seamlessly from one song to the other. You guys sure packed a lot in and had so much fun. As someone who has never been to Disneyland, it was fun seeing the attractions and your reactions to them. MUST GO TO CARSLAND!! You must love being able to revisit all your trips through your videos. Looking forward to part 2!

Sorry Conny, half my videos are not playable in Germany :confused3 :(

Thanks hun

It's so fun seeing all the footage now and being able to relive the trip

I tried to concentrate on stuff that is unique to DL but a lot of things were closed or just didn't get the footage.

That was so cute

Thanks :goodvibes
