You are correct. Your post you referenced offering to manage a FE was made on July 15, 2014. There were questions about FE since then which met with no response, so I did post on January 20 that "no one seems to be coming forward" as more than six (6) months had already gone by at that time and now another 2 months have also gone by. I consider 8 months between posts to be a long time for someone managing a FE, but that's just me.

Glad someone is going to manage a FE for this cruise. The DIS now has a very secure way to communicate as well as tools to securely distribute lists to participants. It will be great that you can do it all right here on the DIS.

It really depends on the cruise. So far we've got almost 50 people participating in this one. I've only done it once but it was a lot of fun. People put a lot of thought into it. There were people from all over the world and many of them made or bought things that were representative of their home country. I had a lot of fun making the extenders and making stuff for the exchange.

Hi guys! Would like to participate in the FE as well!!! I'll send Eerbie our info! And just for you guys here this will be me and my fiancée taking my mom and our friend on their first cruises (anywhere ever!!) so we're really excited. I also get gold status after this cruise (yayyyy). Really looking forward to a nice weekend getaway onboard.

If there is anyway we can have an updated General Info list posted on this board (maybe last name for room and # of ppl in the cabin) hijab would be awesome! Id like to know just what we're looking at generally speaking in terms of a group size!

I'd also like to request we do a little bit bigger of a FE group if possible (maybe like 20 rooms) so that there is more magic in a smaller period of time

Also for those of you who have not done FE before...welcome! The Dis has tons of great ideas and tips for FE gifts. I would like to throw out there that generally nobody partakes in the "edible" gifts for diet/safety/other reasons. I just personally don't like wasting my cruise calories on 100 Hershey kisses that have stock piled in my FE! lol

What are your guys fav type of FE gift ideas? Still thinking of what to do for mine!

For anyone else who would like to participate in the FE, please send me the following information:

Names of all participants
Ages and genders of children
Cabin #s of all participants.
Any allergies that gifters should be aware of.

Also wanted to check in with the group. I have 26 cabins so far on the FE, with 29 kids and 53 adults. I'm leaning towards splitting it into two groups so we're not spending our entire cruise delivering gifts, but I wanted to see what the general consensus is. Either post here or PM me and I'll go with the majority.

Woo Hoooooo! I made final payment, so it looks like we're in! We're also from So Cal and didn't get to cruise this summer, so we're REALLY looking forward to this mini cruise in October. I wish we could take the time off to do a B2B!

We're definitely excited for the FE, and wouldn't mind the larger groups. It might be wishful thinking, but I like to think that walking the decks helps burn off all those extra calories

We are the Manwarring Family, Seth, Jennifer, Anthony and Madison. It will be our 1st official PLATINUM cruise!

(Except, for me, I had one extra cruise on the rest of the family. Which they never let me live down. )

Anyway, I'm not even sure the kids really benefit from being platinum....

It really looks like this cruise is sold out. We had friends who tried to join us, but the cruise is not coming up on a search. Not a single room....

Can't wait to meet everyone!
