Beautiful shot Mike! We haven't been on the Storybook Canal since 2010 since it was closed for refurbishment our last 2 trips. We really hope to catch it in October. I'll be sure to try this framing myself!

Well Janet I can't say this was my idea. I had seen this image captured before by others on this thread (maybe back when it was DL Pic of the Day II or I). And while I do have images of this setup from the Storybook Canals from our last go around, this image was captured in motion while on Casey Jr.. When I was on Storybook I was sitting turned in an awkward position and wasn't able to get a good framing on it. Thanks for the shout out though! BTW I guess you survived the tornado tonight?

Looking forward to doing both the Canal and Casey Junior. I really missed both on our last 2 trips.

And yeah, that was some wild weather again. About 10 days ago we had trees down all over the area from wind, 5 days ago there was a tornado in Lee's Summit, then more tornado activity in the area again tonight. I hadn't heard the sirens in years, and now twice in 5 days. It sure has been wild. I hope you guys stayed safe and didn't have any damage!

Try to make sure you have a beautiful blue sky with fluffy clouds! I have this shot but the sky is gray.

I'm in Missouri but Kansas is just over the state line.

I hear you on the blue skies and pretty clouds. I've certainly had my share of gray skies at DLR, but thankfully our December trips had a lot of pretty blue skies. I wonder what I'll get in October.
