Oh It's A Jolly Holiday With Katie! - Beach Club / Grand Floridian

So the DIS ate half of my response :headache: So I had to go back an re-quote everything so sorry it being out of order :flower3:

Woah! You'd think it being Pumpkin and all it would provide some Fiber and Potassium! Totally reminds me of this American Dad skit

(I think this is a sign that I would be in Hufflepuff.
What are Hufflepuffs good at?
Oh that's right.
NOTHING.)

Aren't they loyal and friendly?! You're right, means nothing nowadays! :rotfl2::rotfl:

Cinnabon, stop tormenting me with your sugary goodness

I think once you've had half of the pumpkin juice, you've already gone over you sugar allotment for the day. Might as well keep on eating it! ::yes:: That's my philosophy! :thumbsup2

Jamie and I are currently watching American Horror Story and instead of covering my eyes when I’m scared, I become completely paralyzed and literally just stare at the TV screen in horror, like a dear in the headlights.

I can't. :scared1::eek: Scary movies are the worst! And that show just looks so freaky, but I hear it's good! I was intrigued by the Freakshow season but never ended up catching any bits of it. I'm such a wuss :sad2:

Love your dress and sandals!

As soon as we entered the park we realised we were hungry, so Broccoliville

"Bring it on down to Broccoliville!"

Wow what an awesome TR fellow Briton! I'm up in North Wales :)
I absolutely love your TR such awesome deluxe resorts too. Me and my fiancé are going for the first time in September 2017 and I so hope the crowds will be like they have been for you!
Quick question though.. Did you book the resorts as two separate bookings? We are thinking of doing this, going for value for a week then do a surprise upgrade to AKL or something.. We would probably book flights separately though. I'm off to start reading your PTR now! :earsboy:

What a great update! I can't believe you got back to MK after universal! I don't think I'd have made it.....:faint: Will you be checking out legoland on your next trip?

HEY FRIEND :goodvibes

That's actually a very good question, I have no idea why we didn't get the Hogwarts Express over.. But we did it the week before so it's fine!! Oh no, a stinky family, in those tiny little train compartments?! That sounds awful! When we rode it I was sat in between the wall/window and a man who was SPREADING his legs SO wide his sweaty, hairy leg was legit pressed up against mine :crazy2: and yes, we were both wearing shorts :crazy2: come on dude, we're cramped into a tiny compartment on the Hogwarts Express, where's your social awareness?!?!! Still thoroughly enjoyed the attraction though :thumbsup2 Are you going back to Universal in November?? I would like to make a request for a TR please :thumbsup2

Okay EEW. Dudes need to learn that manspreading is NOT okay! :crazy2: Take note, men (especially hairy, sweaty ones...*shudder*)! And I WISH we had time for a Universal side-trip in Nov/Dec! We're getting in on Sunday Nov. 29 and I'm actually planning lunch at CityWalk that day on our way to WDW (you've got to try Cowfish if you haven't!), but no Universal theme park days this trip. I know...it's a very "WOMP WOMP!" feeling. Guess I'll just have to suffer through an entirely Disney vacation! Whatever shall I do?! You may actually see a TR depending on if I can get Chris (the boyfriend, who is am AMAZING writer actually) on board and if my BFF and her daughter end up coming with us! We'd probably do a joint TR. I will keep your request in mind! My only concern is taking notes during the day because I have a total Swiss cheese brain and things seem to fall out of it pretty easily if I don't write them down! :p Clearly you will see tons of pics and check-ins on FB and Instagram while we're there regardless!

(I think this is a sign that I would be in Hufflepuff.
What are Hufflepuffs good at?
Oh that's right.
NOTHING.)

I've yet to read your latest 3 updates (which I'll get to after I get home from work, I promise!), but this made me laugh and laugh! Chris is a Hufflepuff and I am a Ravenclaw (book Ravenclaw -- blue and bronze! OG Ravenclaw!). Jamie totally looks like a Slytherin. He has a very sneaky look about him. :teeth::rotfl: You and Chris must both just be very kind. That's it. Kindhearted. Hufflepuffs.:laughing:

I stumbled on your trip report. It's great! You are a funny couple. We are going this September 16-20 to the Wilderness Lodge. I am hoping for same level crowds that you on your trip last year. I have eaten at Shula's before. It is amazing. It is the best steak place I have been too. The service was also top notch. I have not been to the Yatchsman though for comparison.

Hey Katie! I haven't been on the DIS in awhile, but today I finally decided to come back and join the party! I am all caught up in your TR. Your room at the GF is so cute and pretty! That resort is absolutely incredible, just to step foot inside is a treat! I am so happy that you and Jamie both got Galactic pins, twice! AMAZING!

Also, Eeyore looked like he was enjoying your room at the GF very much! :)

I look forward to reading more of your TR!

Hey Becky! I hope everything has turned out alright, with your professor disappearing and everything?! Sometimes I think about the amount of money we spend on tuition and what we actually get out of it, and it makes me want to bang my head against a wall..!!!

I love taking cereal to WDW! Jamie always acts like I'm crazy, but always eats more than half of it!! We don't rent a car (a little terrified to drive on the opposite side of the road!) so we can't really get to the supermarket. So I think if I didn't take cereal with us, we would end up eating cakes and pastries for breakfast every day - which may be dangerous!

Did you see Jurassic World yet?! Holy moly!!!! We saw it in IMAX and 3D and loved it so much we saw it again a few days later

I really like Marvel too, and Jamie is a total Marvel fanboy! I loved the first Avengers movie, but I haven't really found anything that I've loved as much as that. What's your favourite?!

I completely agree about Halloween Horror Nights!! I've got a few updates to post and I've mentioned HHN. I'd love to be able to walk through in the day time, without anyone jumping out or chasing me. It looks way too terrifying for me!

Thanks! It turned out okay. The new professor was so confused with everything the old professor was trying to do so I was able to finagle some better grades out of it! And I completely agree :sad2:. The amount of money is insane and I feel like the amount of time it can waste may not even be worth it, I don't even use my undergraduate degree for my job!

Jamie is so wrong, it's a genius idea! It's quick and easy and cheap at that.

Nooo! We haven't seen it yet! A friend of mine texted me to go see it but I was waiting for Ricky to get off work because he wants to see it, the duties of being a good girlfriend, but I've heard so many great things about it.

Captain America: Winter Soldier is my favorite! I even like it better than the first Avengers movie and I LOVE the first one. The storyline is so good and I watch Agents of Shield and it all tied in so perfectly.

UGH the bottle is just as good as the juice. So cute!

The juice is practically liquidised sugar, but you cannot beat that pumpkin flavour!!!

I was just talking about this with one of my friends. She hated the pumpkin juice and I was so upset! I've only heard bad things about it so I'm so happy someone likes it. I want to try it so bad!

(I think this is a sign that I would be in Hufflepuff.
What are Hufflepuffs good at?
Oh that's right.
NOTHING.)

(Whilst writing this update, Jamie and I took a sorting hat quiz, and this legitimately happened...)

O4I1Iqk.png

The same friend I was talking to about the pumpkin juice told me and another friend to rejoin Pottermore. The one friend got sorted into Hufflepuff and I was making fun of her because she was so mad that she deleted her account and tried again. Then I got sorted into Hufflepuff, deleted my account to get sorted, and got Hufflepuff...again...:headache:

LOVE this dress!!

(there weren’t any for the whole trip – and touch wood for September 2015!)

Please no scrims or cranes since we'll be there around the same time!

I looked a few feet ahead of us, and there was a child SQUATTING AND PEEING on the moving walkway…

:sad2::sad2::sad2:I'll never understand some parents.:crazy2::crazy2::crazy2:

Just wanted to pop in to say that I'm still following along on your trip report! I love reading your updates! I'm currently counting down to our trip this September and am hoping for low crowds!!

This is great, fun, and educational. Just a note, some of the words listed as British are also American, such as curtains, taxi, and autumn.

Ahh ok, I probably need a longer, better version because I think sometimes I write UK terms and no one else has a clue what I mean

Boys seriously :rolleyes2

Katie and Lu really do know best! ::yes::

It was so frustrating! They even tried to charge us for the extra time!

giphy.gif

I haven't planned any Universal time...I'm not sure I can justify the cost when all I would do would be ride Rip Rocket and the Hulk all day! :rotfl:

In my mind this is how it would go down between Hiddles and C-Pratt...

Sorry!

No I haven't seen it yet :sad2: Sad, sad times...

No probs! :thumbsup2 Just tell me when and give me a list of who and we can get the party started!! :rotfl:

Tina-Fey-and-Amy-Poehler-2_1.gif

This is amazing! I can honestly say I have never used the word maize...until now...when I just used it! I thought that was American for corn? :confused3

I heard that. Poor girl. Actually I'm slightly surprised more things like this don't happen. I remember a couple of years ago a group of us went to Lightwater Valley and there was this ride similar to Primeval Whirl (no idea what its called!) and there was a guy checking the lap bar and the other guy operating the ride just started the ride before the lap bar guy got off! :earseek:

He had to lie on the floor of the car and we all have to put our legs over him to stop him flying out! He was screaming the whole time, it was terrifying (and slightly hilarious now) and the guy operating the ride had no clue :scared:

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!! This needs to happen!! Like, you know, right now!!

tumblr_m0uj3zqqWU1qbhzg3o1_250.gif

Now I have Lily Allen LDN stuck in my head! :rotfl:

Now that's what I call a warm welcome! Or insanely hot...same thing!

I love Little Britain!

:rotfl2: You poor thing!

That is adorable! I want that sign!

Hey maybe he's friends with @pkondz....

:rotfl: #justchilling

:cloud9: I want my wedding there! Even if I just marry myself! :rotfl:

The monorail was legit my favourite ride when I was a kid. I could ride that sucker ALL.DAY.LONG!

Hey I think someone got in your frame...oh wait its just you! Panic over! :rotfl:

Awww! So cute! :goodvibes

:faint: I love this!

:lmao::rotfl::rotfl2:

That is such a look of pride! :lmao:

Woohoo!! Go Katie! :woohoo::cheer2:

Back off ladies he's taken ;) :lmao:

So fancy! :artist:

Sounds amazing! :goodvibes

::yes::

:earseek::earseek::earseek::earseek::earseek::earseek::earseek:
Well....after all that I think I need a nap! :faint: :rotfl:

HAHA I love the dance battle :rotfl::rotfl: Both of them definitely should've been cast in the new Magic Mike :thumbsup2

OMG that story about Lightwater Valley is terrifying!!! Holy cannolli. I have quite the image in my head, you should have videoed it, it would've gone viral  I never ride Primeval Whirl it just looks so rickety, I wouldn't be surprised if it just kinda, fell apart one day :confused3 Those rides freak me out!

I had the first two seasons of Little Britain on DVD, I used to watch it over and over again!! So outrageous, but so funny! I'm glad someone appreciated it :thumbsup2

Hahaha imagine @pkondz and Leverenzel the bus driver, sashaying and shimmying through the parks together :laughing:

(yes I picture pkondz walking like Beyonce every time he says he "sashayed") :rotfl::rotfl:

I soooo want my wedding at Disney's wedding pavilion too, but I'd have a hard time convincing all of my family to come out to Florida! They'd just tell me to stop being ridiculous. THEY DON'T UNDERSTAND ME. Maybe you and I should just marry each other at the wedding pavilion? :flower3:

...And then our honeymoon can be riding the monorail round and round :thumbsup2 (I LOVE IT TOO)

I love that you know all of my shows!!! Michael's face during the mayonegg scene is one of my favourite parts of the show :rotfl:
And trust you to use that quote ;)

WHAT!!! That is just crazy!!! But what a story. :rotfl2: I feel bad for the family but seriously go tell a CM. Thanks for sharing. That made my morning in a funny but slightly gross way. LOL.

Haha you are welcome!!! :rotfl:

We have Maize Mazes?!?!?

I just repeat myself on here but OMG I'm loving your quiet park days, the fact you got a personal log on Splash and the whole train on the people mover is just amazing :)

Maize Mazes!? I had to look that up  But yeah, we would just call that a Maze... I've never seen the word "Maize" before

I know right, quiet days are the BEST! I don't think I'll ever be able to go during the peak times in summer now, I've been spoilt by September

Ohhhh my the pee family

I have 2 kids, one of which is going through the potty training phase. Accidents definitely happen, but I can't even imagine just sitting there watching my child pee in public and do nothing.

A few years ago when my daughter was 4, we had spent a few days at my aunt's house. She has a pool in the backyard and she would let the kids pee in the grass instead of going back in the house while swimming. My daughter got used to that and one day we went to a splash park. This splash park had areas with astroturf. Well of course I look over and my daughter is peeing in the astroturf. :scared1: I had to run over and scoop her up and find a bathroom. It was mortifying!

Yeah I agree, if your kid just decided to go, it's pretty inevitable that there might be a bit of a mess, but this woman was completely nonchalant! It was as if it was totally normal. Haha that's a funny story! At least she did it somewhere where you could catch her - and not at school or something..!!

I am loving your trip report! This must have taken you so much time! I can't wait until I get to the GF part because I am staying there this year! Random thought, but if you flip this picture 180 degress the bats look like they're dancing!!

Hey, thanks so much! I'm really glad you're enjoying it! And YES it's taking me FOREVER to write :rotfl:But I'm actually really enjoying writing it :goodvibes
Yay how exciting! Have you stayed there before? If not, I'm sure you'll love it! It's so special princess:
Haha I love that!! They totally do, especially the guy on the left

:rotfl::rotfl:

What a long day you had! I love the pictures at Universal. Harry Potter looks really neat. I'd love to walk around and look in all the shops. Your pictures down Main Street are really nice. I love the photo pass pictures in front of the castle. I can't believe you were able to make it to MK after a long day. So sorry to hear about Jamie's shirt. I hope next time you come he can get a replacement.
-Lindsey:earsgirl:

I guess it was a pretty long day, but we didn't really feel that tired :confused3 Maybe because we'd already been there over a week and felt like we'd done all of our 'must-dos' and we weren't stressing or anything. We just went to casually stroll around :goodvibes Aw thanks, I really like those castle pictures too, I got a couple of them printed out big :goodvibes

Well, let's see now.
How does a Canadian... caught between the two here... fare on this chart.
I'd say the majority is USA english with these exceptions:
We'll say cab or taxi interchangeably.
We'll say curtains far more than drapes. But some might use drapes.
We'll use fall or autumn interchangeably. Might lean a bit more towards fall.
Faucet or tap depends on the situation. I'll go to the store to buy a faucet but yell at my kids for not turning off the tap.
Line and queue are equal, but we'll say "Hey! You! Get in line! or The line's over there!" But we all know what a queue is.
Movie is used more than film. "Did you see that movie?" but "I saw this film where..." Becoming more rare, though.
Pajamas, pyjamas... we "Say" pyjamas but spell it pajamas usually.
Subways are subways the world over unless you're talking about the London underground.
We'll take a vacation but ask if you've had a nice holiday.

And no english speaking person on Earth says "maize".

Thanks for sharing! I genuinely find it interesting. I sometimes think that I write some UK dialect, and no one else has a clue what I mean. But I generally know most USA/ Canadian terms (I think), must be from all the american tv. And I KNOW. Maize? That's a made up word for sure

Rather intimidating isn't it?
How hot (hotter) does it get nearby when the dragon spouts flames?

EXTREMELY HOT! :furious: If you're standing right underneath it / in its firing line you REALLY feel it, it's pretty cool! Makes the experience more real I guess :goodvibes

Is it weird sitting in what looks like a part of London but hearing almost nothing other than American accents?

As long as I've got my pumpkin juice in one hand and a chocolate frog in the other, I'm not listening to anything going on around me
:lmao: Poor Katie! You're good for nothing!

I know right?! :sad2::sad:

It's solid... all the way through????

:faint:

It sure is!!! Always takes a couple of days / people to get through it all. It's really good!

You'd be a good person to have along on a nature hike if you happened to come across a bear, or lion, or aardvark.

I can't tell if you meant this sarcastically or not.. Maybe you mean it sarcastically, like, I would be doomed, and would maybe jeopardise the safety of the hiking group. Or maybe, you're being serious, and you're saying that you would actually like to have me with you on a nature hike so that you can leave me out in the woods as bait for the bears while you run to safety...

I would say he less "bought it" and more "rented it" based on subsequent info.

:rotfl: So true!

Ever eaten at one?
I did not long ago (well, last year.)
The waiter asked if I wanted to play a Forrest Gump based trivia game.
He asked me about a dozen questions... And I shocked myself by getting them all right!
eg. "How many bottles of Dr Pepper did Forrest drink?" 15. No idea how I remembered that.

I haven't! And if they do Forrest Gump trivia games, I don't even care what the food is like! THAT sounds fun. I would not have known the answer to the Dr Pepper question though :rotfl: That's some good knowledge!

I've seen this picture before and didn't comment since it was on Lu's TR.
But... you two both look pretty darned cute with those dolphins! :)

Thanks! We had such a great time.

Why? It's not a bad picture of him. Nice pic of the both of you, actually.

Haha, he says his face was much chubbier back then :rotfl: No comment from me... Either response would get me in trouble.. ("Nooo, you look the same as you do now!" / "Oh yeah, you were chubby then.") :rotfl:

Nice dress, Katie.

Thanks!!!

 Never heard it called that before, but I can see why you do!

Jamie actually came up with the name Broccoliville, and it stuck for the entire trip!

I assume that's a typo...

Oops it was, it's been corrected :thumbsup2

I'm sorry.... there was a what... doing WHAT?????

I KNOW

I didn't. Having never seen Arrested Development. But I know now!
Can I get some love too?

No?

Darn.

Hmm ok, I suppose you can :flower3:

Ma'am? Here's your sign.

Lemme know if you don't get the reference.

I'm afraid I do not know the reference?!?

OMG! That Christmas tree is on fire!!!! Help! Help! Someone put it out!!!

:rotfl:

 I knew it! I looked at it, went "Oh, it's a picture frame."
Then immediately thought "There's no way she's taking that picture out though."

Haha YES! You know me well already :lmao: Who would ever take out that picture??! MADNESS.

Ooooh the thought that there is even a possibility of you going at the same time as me has me all excited :rotfl: I don't plan on being there ON Christmas/NYE. I have before, and it is INSANE. The crowds are just  I have pretty much narrowed it down to Dec 5th - 12th, 2016. Historically, the Christmas parade is taped the first weekend in Dec which I'd like to try and avoid. Mostly because they don't put the huge tree up in MK until after the parade (bc the need the space for cameras and whatnot) and I want to be there when ALL the decorations are up and ready to go. Yes, I've already done a ridiculous amount of research for a trip that's a year and 5 months away :rotfl2: DVC is an amazing thing but definitely not in my price range! So luckily I have parents who bought into it years ago and are generous with sharing their points :flower3:

I love the picture of you and Jamie on Splash Mountain! You look so happy!! So I must make a confession - I've never ridden Splash Mountain :faint:
I know, I know - it's a travesty of some sort! I've been going since I was 4 and did the college program but have never ridden Splash...well my son has already informed me that we are getting on it the next time we go. And I can't very well send him by himself so I guess I have to suck it up and overcome my fears :rotfl:

P.S. Chris Pratt is perfection in human form ::yes:: That's all :wave2:

From what you've described, December 5th to the 12th sounds perfect!! I'm DYING to see the Osbourne lights.. Every year I hear rumours that they're going away, which has obviously always been proven to be false, but with all of the DHS refurbishments in the works, I'm getting worried. I HAVE to get out there to see them ::yes:: If I did end up being out there at the same time as you, do you remember our plans?! Didn't we say we would go pickle shopping in World Showcase?! :rotfl:

OMG, you did the college program and you've NEVER done Splash Mountain?!?!?!?! WHAT !!!!!! :confused3 That is absolute craziness! How come you've never wanted to ride it?! I agree with Jacob, you should definitely give it a try! It's a real heart-warmer :goodvibes

You guys would seriously be the cutest DIS couple, if there were such a thing.

Aww thank you!!

His mouth is dead on Beaker status!!

Right?! It's so funny when he does it properly. I really hope they still sell those Beaker hats in September, I really want him to wear it, and do the face.. It's too funny!

Straight VIP status tonight:cool::cool2:

I actually felt like royalty on this night :bride: (<< what is this? Is she meant to be some sort of royalty?! Well, she is now)

I was going to say I love that poster picture! It's a frame? So if you put a picture in there, it will cover up Br'er Rabbit and friends??:confused3

YES, who would ever take out/cover up that beautiful Splash Mountain picture?! It's SO much better as it is. The CM looked at me like I was a little crazy, but I'm glad some people here seem to agree!

I love this stuff! Years ago, Costco was selling full size product kits that included this, a nail and cuticle cream, pumice foot scrub and a hand and cuticle scrub. :hyper:

That's so cool! I always admire the full sized bottles in the hotel gift shops, but they seem so expensive when you can just be cheap like me and collect the miniatures :rotfl: I have a box full!

OH MY GOSH. I feel like I tell you all my Netflix shows :rotfl: We used to buy the Office seasons on DVD and had stopped after the 5th season because we had become so busy with life and what not. So when I saw it was on Netflix, I started rewatching from Season 1 about 2 months ago and we saw the final episode last week when we returned from our trip :sad2: Seeing Michael as the best man at Dwight's wedding nearly killed me. And then DH looked up on Youtube the final table read (they had recorded it!) and there was some pretty emotional moments at the table read :sad2::sad:

I haven't seen this yet, I tend to just dip in and out, but I feel like I should watch it! Ugh any serious / emotional scenes with those two is bound to be a tear-jerker though right?!

So the DIS ate half of my response :headache: So I had to go back an re-quote everything so sorry it being out of order :flower3:

Oh bless you, this has happened to me before, and I thought I was going crazy :upsidedow kinda glad to hear it's happened to others :thumbsup2

Woah! You'd think it being Pumpkin and all it would provide some Fiber and Potassium! Totally reminds me of this American Dad skit

HAHA this is me!!! I'm like, strawberry ice cream?? That's much better for me than chocolate ice cream, I mean, it's practically a fruit / one of my five a day! :rotfl:
Is pumpkin a fruit/vegetable? If so, it MUST have some nutritional value to it

Aren't they loyal and friendly?! You're right, means nothing nowadays! :rotfl2::rotfl:

Yes I think they are! I kinda hoped to be Ravenclaw, or maybe Gryffindor though. What makes me laugh is that Hufflepuff are supposedly hard-working, whilst Ravenclaw are exclusively the intelligent ones... Like, hard-working isn't synonymous with intelligence :rotfl: Oh ok, I'll just work-hard, but ultimately fail and be dumb in everything then :thumbsup2

I think once you've had half of the pumpkin juice, you've already gone over you sugar allotment for the day. Might as well keep on eating it! ::yes:: That's my philosophy! :thumbsup2

Haha I really like how this quote turned out. I thought you were about to sound like my mother, telling me I've gone over my sugar limit :rotfl: but suggesting that I may as well just keep going is why I consider you a friend Alicia

Love your dress and sandals!

Thank you girly!! The dress is from H&M :goodvibes

"Bring it on down to Broccoliville!"

homelessville-gif.106368

Ok, I had to look up what on EARTH this gif was from :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
But that is hilarious, I'm going to show Jamie, he'll probably end up making a Broccoliville song :thumbsup2

:earsboy:

Hey UK friend! :wave2: Thanks so much, I'm glad you like it!
I hope you get super low crowds too! When in September are you going? We were there from the 2nd - 16th, so right before the Food and Wine festival had started. This year we're going later (22nd Sept - 6th Oct) and I think it might be a bit busier.. But now we've been spoilt by the early September crowds!! I'm worried we'll see a 20 minute line and complain that it's too long :rotfl:
Wow AKL! I'd love to stay there one day! Yeah we do the same, we book our flights direct through Virgin Atlantic, then a hotel/ticket combo direct from disneyworld.disney.go.com - I'm sure you know this, but when booking direct through Disney you can get really good deals that change throughout the year! (free dining / room discount / free $200 gift card / free memory maker, etc)
So we first booked 7 nights at the Beach Club and the 14 day ultimate tickets as a combo (with room discount AND $200 gift card!!). Then we just booked the second week 7 nights at the GF as a hotel-only booking - and the 14 day ticket we'd bought in the combo obviously covered that second week too - if that makes sense :goodvibes
It was all really easy, we had zero problems with the magic bands or anything, so if you want to do a split stay I definitely recommend it :thumbsup2

What a great update! I can't believe you got back to MK after universal! I don't think I'd have made it.....:faint: Will you be checking out legoland on your next trip?

Thanks! Yeah it was great, we weren't even that tired! We'd done pretty much all of our 'must dos" so we weren't rushing around or stressing, it was actually a relaxing day :goodvibes We don't have any plans to visit legoland unfortunately, it's difficult to go offsite when we don't rent a car, it cost us a lot! So I think we'll just stick to a couple of days at Universal. :thumbsup2

I've actually thought about eating at Cowfish this year! It sounds good :goodvibes hahaha you'll have to spend the entire time at Disney I guess.. what a travesty!!!!
I usually take a million photos that are all time-stamped, and when we stop for a drink / food / bathroom break I make quick notes in my phone, then just match the notes with the photos! It's not too much effort that way :goodvibes

UGH I wish I was a Ravenclaw!!! That's what I was hoping for :sad2: Well it's better than Slytherin I guess!!! Although Jamie is strangely happy with his sorting!! It's pretty worrying.. :scared::laughing:

Hahaha imagine @pkondz and Leverenzel the bus driver, sashaying and shimmying through the parks together :laughing:

Time and date. I'll be there.

(yes I picture pkondz walking like Beyonce every time he says he "sashayed") :rotfl::rotfl:

Please don't even kid about that.

She sashays nothing like me.

I have much more sex appeal and way more swish in my hips.

OW!!

DW just whacked me upside the head.

Maize? That's a made up word for sure

I have actually heard of the word before.
Something along the lines of The Native American's grew maize until corn was brought over from Europe.

EXTREMELY HOT! :furious: If you're standing right underneath it / in its firing line you REALLY feel it, it's pretty cool! Makes the experience more real I guess :goodvibes

Because that's what you want when it's 45C in the shade.
More heat.

"Oh, look Harold. You're butterbeer is boiling."

As long as I've got my pumpkin juice in one hand and a chocolate frog in the other, I'm not listening to anything going on around me

It sure is!!! Always takes a couple of days / people to get through it all. It's really good!

What do you mean "couple of people"???

I'd be like: "Hands off my frog!"

Oh, go ahead @BibbitybobityLu. You know you'll explode if you don't.

I meant you'd be great to have around since you'd freeze and get eaten and I'd get away.
But I like your reasons too.

I haven't! And if they do Forrest Gump trivia games, I don't even care what the food is like! THAT sounds fun. I would not have known the answer to the Dr Pepper question though :rotfl: That's some good knowledge!

I have no idea how and why I got that right.
Perhaps I've seen that movie a few times too often. :rolleyes1

Haha, he says his face was much chubbier back then :rotfl: No comment from me... Either response would get me in trouble.. ("Nooo, you look the same as you do now!" / "Oh yeah, you were chubby then.") :rotfl:

I think the proper response is just silence.
Perhaps a sage nodding of the head.

Jamie actually came up with the name Broccoliville, and it stuck for the entire trip!

Well I like it!

Hmm ok, I suppose you can :flower3:

Yay!

I'm afraid I do not know the reference?!?

It's a comedian who does an entire routine around the idea that stupid people should have to wear signs saying their stupid.
Here's a little snippet I found.

I'm curious to know if you can even understand him with his thick southern accent.

Hey! Thanks, I'm glad you're enjoying it! I hope you get the same crowd levels too, September is definitely one of the best times to visit :goodvibes I thought about eating at Shula's this year, but figured we'd just go with what we know is good, so we're sticking with the Yachtsman. I'd definitely like to try Shula's in the future though :goodvibes

Hey girly! YAY I'm glad you're back! I hope you had a great trip during spring break :goodvibes Do you think you'll do a TR?! If you do, let me know so I don't miss it! :goodvibes

Thanks! It turned out okay. The new professor was so confused with everything the old professor was trying to do so I was able to finagle some better grades out of it!

That's awesome! Well-deserved too, when you don't have the right support from the professors and have to get through everything with minimal help :thumbsup2 I'm glad things turned out ok!

I was just talking about this with one of my friends. She hated the pumpkin juice and I was so upset! I've only heard bad things about it so I'm so happy someone likes it. I want to try it so bad!

Oh I love it!!! It's very sweet, that's for sure. I don't drink the whole bottle at once. But I love it in moderation :thumbsup2 You should give it a chance :goodvibes

Hahaha that story made me laugh! So it's not just me - Hufflepuff really is that lame :rotfl: I'm starting to own it, it's pretty funny when I think about it. Like, I'm obsessed with Disney World - that's definitely a Hufflepuff thing to be obsessed with

LOVE this dress!!

Thank you! It's from H&M :goodvibes

Just wanted to pop in to say that I'm still following along on your trip report! I love reading your updates! I'm currently counting down to our trip this September and am hoping for low crowds!!

I'm glad you're still here! YES I'm hoping for low crowds too!! I've just said in a previous post, that I think I've been spoilt by the low crowds.. And if I see a 20 minute wait for something, I'm going to think it's too long! But either way, I guess it will be much quieter than the summer months :goodvibes:goodvibes

So I just noticed that your 1 year anniversary for the DIS is tomorrow!

:yay:party::dance3:

Yaaay!!! Happy Dis-iversary to meee :goodvibes:goodvibes

party:party:party:

Hey, thanks so much! I'm really glad you're enjoying it! And YES it's taking me FOREVER to write :rotfl:But I'm actually really enjoying writing it :goodvibes
Yay how exciting! Have you stayed there before? If not, I'm sure you'll love it! It's so special princess:
Haha I love that!! They totally do, especially the guy on the left

:rotfl:

I have not! I bought into DVC last year and the GF is my home resort so it will be my first, but definitely not my last, time!

Maize Mazes!? I had to look that up  But yeah, we would just call that a Maze... I've never seen the word "Maize" before
I've been to a few in Suffolk, they're really great as the maze shape changes every year. They're normally in the shape of an animal, we've done a crab one and last year it was an eagle. They're blooming hard though :rotfl2: You'll have to find one :goodvibes

:rotfl::rotfl:

I guess it was a pretty long day, but we didn't really feel that tired :confused3 Maybe because we'd already been there over a week and felt like we'd done all of our 'must-dos' and we weren't stressing or anything. We just went to casually stroll around :goodvibes Aw thanks, I really like those castle pictures too, I got a couple of them printed out big :goodvibes[/QUOTE]

I have much more sex appeal and way more swish in my hips.

Beyonce aka Sasha Fierce is the Queen of SASHAying.. It's even in the name. If you actually are more fierce than her, I have some amazing mental images of you being at Disney..

When you get up in the morning:

Oh wow, it's so much fun to imagine :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

OW!!

DW just whacked me upside the head.

:rotfl: Maybe you'll have to practice the above moves in secret :thumbsup2

Because that's what you want when it's 45C in the shade.
More heat.

"Oh, look Harold. You're butterbeer is boiling."

Haha, what's funny is that when you exit the ice cream parlour, you're right in the firing line! It's built for a comedy sketch.

What do you mean "couple of people"???

I'd be like: "Hands off my frog!"

Oh, go ahead @BibbitybobityLu. You know you'll explode if you don't.

Wow I'm very surprised she hasn't... @BibbitybobityLu are you alive..?!?!

I meant you'd be great to have around since you'd freeze and get eaten and I'd get away.
But I like your reasons too.

Oh jee, thanks friend..

Haha, thats funny! I could understand him alright, I actually like that accent, it's fun!

I have not! I bought into DVC last year and the GF is my home resort so it will be my first, but definitely not my last, time!

Have an amazing trip!

They're normally in the shape of an animal, we've done a crab one and last year it was an eagle.

Wow that's so odd :rotfl2: sounds like fun though!
