I got an email today for a member event at Typhoon lagoon during our stay. It's after hours 9:30pm-12:30am. It's complimentary, with food and music. Has anyone done this? Wondering how crowded it is. Sounds fun! Here's what the email said...

During this complimentary event, Members and their Guests will enjoy exclusive, after-hours access toTyphoon Lagoon from 9:30pm – 12:30am on select evenings. Members will experience select Typhoon Lagoon attractions, rock out to beach party entertainment, and enjoy complimentary treats and refreshments. To reserve this experience you will need a Walt Disney World Resort Reservation and will need to call during your designated event date booking window.

I did. My date is August 4. There's lots if activity about this on FB too. I can't believe I got the timing right this time.

My date is July 28th. Haven't seen a thing on Facebook about it! Glad our timing is right too. we always seem to miss any of the parties. Did the Xmas one once and it was fun.

Our friends are staying at OKW but in a different room. We made reservations for them using our points. Are they eligible to go, too?

I don't know. It said when you call you need to give them your reservation number and each person on your reservation will get in, then it says one member must have a dvc card. You will have to ask when you call to reserve.

So does complimentary mean you get in to Typhoon Lagoon for free or do you need to buy the ticket for park entrance and then everything else is free?

I called Member Services and since both reservations were made with my points, everyone gets in....up to 12 people! Yay!

We got the invitation and since we are there for 3 1/2 weeks there are 3 parties. I don't know if we have to choose one or if we can attend more than one. The announcement is also under news on the dvcmembers site.

I'm guessing they will, but it says transportation doesn't start until 8:30 so guess you have to find your own way there if you want to get there early.

I got the invitation today as well. Our stay covers 2 parties but we will most likely attend on Aug 4th. Never been to a DVC event so kinda excited but worried it may be too late at night for ds5.

I wondered that too. For some reason they don't seem to mention that in the information. Maybe they will post a FAQ section. I wondered if the towels and lockers would be included too. Or should we bring towels.

I was just talking about adding a water park day to our trip earlier today. REALLY excited about this. Two dates would work for us but pretty sure we will go with July 28 (the 23rd is our arrival). Yay! It's great too because we have only been to Blizzard Beach not Typhoon Lagoon!

Yes, the regular busses would get you there if you decide to arrive early. All info is on member site

This all-new complimentary event, available exclusively to Disney Vacation Club Members and their Guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort, will take place this July and August as part of Membership Magic!

Heat up your summer vacation night with after-hours access to Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon from 9:30 p.m. – 12:30 a.m., with early admission available beginning at 7 p.m. to Members and their Guests, on the following evenings:

- July 23, 2015
- July 28, 2015
- August 4, 2015
- August 11, 2015

Experience select Typhoon Lagoon attractions and many of the park’s fantastic water slides. Rock out to classic beach party tunes from the 60’s inspired Teen Beach Movie and Teen Beach 2, participate in family fun activities like hula-hoop spinning and a limbo contest and enjoy delicious refreshments and treats.

Advanced reservations are required (and non-transferable) to attend and limited to Members staying at a Walt Disney World Resort, up to the number of Guests in their Resort accommodations during event dates. To make reservations, please have your resort reservation number available and call Member Services at (800) 800-9800 on the following dates:

- To book the July 23, 2015 event, please call between July 8 - 16, 2015.
