Which would you choose.

I heard deck 7 5C rooms are good midship and 5B on deck 8? And that 5D can be loud so to not even consider them because things going on in deck5?

What are the differences besides the decks.... all my research shows they are basically the same, but which balcony would you have the ocean view and not be looking at a life raft or another balcony? Or did I read that wrong in some reviews.

We need the ones that sleep 4 but it sounds like each offer that.. not all but each has some with the pull down bed.... correct?

Any input and reviews are helpful!

The 5s are all the same it's just the location as you say. Midship is known to be the best location, mid deck mid ship so knowing that DCL charge for the preferred location.

Just look at deck plans and what's above you what's below you what's around you, if it's all staterooms it's OK. The kids club is ok as well if your near it.

I'll add that deck 11 sticks out further than deck 10. Some people don't like that it hangs beyond their balcony and others - like myself - like the shade it provides. Some say that having deck 11 above them is noisy and makes sleeping difficult. I didn't mind it and loved being only a deck away from that level.

We loved our 5A Cabin on the Dream, it was MidShip Deck 9. It would be the same on the Fantasy.

Thanks! I'm leaning toward a 5B or 5A at this point.. Just trying to see if there is any worthy differences between the amounts of them because they all seem very similar besides the decks and what's above or below.. Such as the balcony

We've had a 5B (8028) and it was great. A little further forward than I like but it was a great room. We currently have a 5E booked which is aft with a larger balcony.

We were on Deck 2, forward, and it was great. I would try to get as far in the front of the ship as you can, honestly. Less rocking and rolling. Every time we visited/ate at places on the aft side, there was always lots of movement. Deck 5 is where the kids club is, which is probably fine if you are forward of it. I'd rather be on the same floor as it is, than right below it!

May I ask what AFT is? Thanks for your suggestion of a 5B :)

You didn't include this category, but since you are looking at "5s" I'll through my opinion into the mix....our absolute favorite cabins on the Dream/Fantasy are Cat 5E extreme aft (i.e. looking straight out the back of the ship) preferably on deck 9 (i.e. 9174). The verandah is oversized (Large enough for 1 chaise, 2 chairs and a small table) and we love the relatively open "panorama"of looking out on the ocean, right to left, without looking down the entire side of the ship. (note that it does have a solid whitewall, so if you are sitting in the chair, you can't see under the railing.) We had a 5E cabin on deck 7 once before, which was fine while at sea, but when we were in ports, they raised the flag which flapped right across deck and blocked our "view" so I'll avoid that deck in the future.

Wow that sounds amazing, i just watched a tour of one on YouTube, looks awesome, I wonder why it's one of the cheaper options of the 5s, I would definitely have expected it to be more of an expensive one. If you have any pictures to share please do!

Do the balconies on a 5E have the option to connect? We are planning to have two rooms side by side with other family and like the idea of side by side with balconies that can connect, I read some do that but not sure about a 5E?

So a deck 9 5E is a good choice, note taken :)

I'm really looking forward to our 5E on the Fantasy (deck 10) but the problem you may encounter with connecting balconies is that they 5Es sell out pretty quickly so you will be lucky to find 2 that connect. Look at the deck plan and you can see if they connect. http://www.allseastravel.com/sites/5738/pdf/dream-fantasy-deck-plan.pdf

In these picture one shows as a white wall type over the whole balcony and the other shows a white wall just half way up to railing. Same room according to post. What's the full white wall thing, even over the top?

The first picture you posted is a little deceiving because of the angle they took the pic from.

This is the room we booked. The video is of the Dream but they should be the same.
I wanted 9174 but unfortunately, it was sold out. :-( But this looks like a good alternative.
