Hi everyone! I'm so happy I found this thread!

My husband and I are going to WDW Nov. 28-Dec. 5 for our first trip together as a married couple. We are SUPER excited and I feel like all I do anymore is read Disney blogs to learn everything I can (even though this will be my 6th trip)

We're staying at Pop Century unless they release some room discounts, in which case we might upgrade to a moderate resort. We figure this will be our last trip before we begin starting a family so we want to make it special!

Yay!! I got my ADR's booked! I got everything I wanted. My only issue is booking the candlelight processional. I want it for 12/24 but I tried every day and it said it was not available. Does the time line work differently for that? I went ahead and booked Biergarten at 4 pm hoping it won't be a problem to add on the candlelight package.

I've heard that candlelight processional hasn't been released yet, but that having a Biergarten already made doesn't affect whether or not you can get the CP package - they can't "add it." It's booked separately, a whole new reservation, subject to availability, yadda, yadda, yadda, they say. Good luck!

I just got all of my ADR's too!!! Even BOG for lunch for 10! I think it helps if you play Be Our Guest in the background in case anyone is wondering, lol! Of course, I immediately start second guessing about the times. I think I just need to celebrate my successes, lol!

I just called and they said they have not opened the CP package yet and that it should be open "soon" but they do not know when and I just need to keep checking back. That makes me soooo nervous!

PirateD I also started 2nd guessing my times, but I am sure it will all work out.

Thanks, @jessie31383! I'm sure you are right. It is one of the hazards of booking out 180 days in advance. How do we know what time we will be hungry, lol? I went more on the late side for the two lunches on our MK days when we are planning to be there bright and early so started worrying we would be starving by then. I guess that just means we may need an extra snack or two before lunch, right? Definitely not the worst thing that could happen as we've got a pretty long bucket list of snacks to try!

I'm sure you will hear about the release of CP packages well in advance here on the Dis. Everyone is really good about keeping us all updated!

ok, now have the bbb reserved too! I got my younger daughters dress ordered yesterday at the disneystore.com. She has decided to be Anna and I just happened to look yesterday and they were having a sale! Her dress is normally 49.99 but I got it for 18 something and 25 after shipping! Now I just have to get my older daughters Elsa dress ordered. This is going to be a challenge since she needs a size 12 or 14 and (she is size 12 right now but who knows if it still will be in 6 months) and the Disney store largest size for costumes is 9/10. My older daughter is 12 and will be turning 13 in March, I thought she might be too old to do it, but she says she wants to, plus I know she will be jealous if my younger daughter does it and she does not. We went in June last year and the girls LOVED everyone talking to them when they were dressed up.

Yes the dis does rock!! I listen to the podcast every week on my way in to work and it helps me stay in a good mood!

ADR Day and I was able to get everything I wanted including a BOG lunch ressie and CRT (both on the same day, but who cares! We are going to Disney World!) Only one I am waiting on is CP for Christmas Eve to come out and all dining plans are done! 180 days until our first Christmas trip!

SOOO, longtime lurker here. First time poster, on ANY site. So excited and blessed to have a trip to the World scheduled for December 20-28. Staying at Fort Wilderness in the cabins. Returning after an almost ten year absence.
Today was my ADR day and I just wanted to thank you, thank you, thank you, to all the people (especially elevationist) that post to this site/thread. Because of ya'll I logged in this AM full of trepidation. Banged my computer around, banged my head around and came out on the other side with all the reservations I was hoping for including BOG and the Wishes Dessert Party. Never has a trip filled me with such excitement OR anxiety!
I may not post much, but just wanted to let y'all know that you never know who your posts are impacting. Because of y'all this padawan may actually become a Disney Jedi someday!

Yippie! First round of ADR's booked right before the +10 function seems to have crashed for now on the website
I am on a family vacation this week, and completely forgot to get up early, but we still managed to get what we wanted, just not all at perfect times
12/20 no reservations on arrival day, still haven't finalized travel plans
12/21 San Angel Inn 6:00 pm
12/22 CRT at 8:10 pm
12/23 Ohana at 9:00 pm
12/24 Biergarten at 1:40 pm, but will swap out for CP package if can when opens
12/25 Crystal Palace at 10:15 am, BOG at 9:10 pm
(Yes, I know we are crazy for doing MK on Christmas, but we are ok with that)
12/26 no reservations-planning on Yak and Yeti, and have Landry's card, and want time flexibility
12/27 Chef Mickey's 7:00 am, Chefs de France 7:10 pm
12/28 50's Primetime 6:00 pm
12/29 no reservations- resort/ low key day

Only 3 more days left to reserve, but none of them are the high-pressure reservations, so I'm not too worried. Here's hoping everyone else has good luck as well

Hi! My DH and I decided that we might be going the week between Christmas and New Years (dates12/27- 1/3). I am a little nervous about the crowds and park closures. However since DH is a teacher this is the only way we can ever see the holidays at Disney ( a dream of mine).
Can those of you who have done this week tell me about it? How often do the parks actually close? We were planning HS for New Years can we get there later in the afternoon, or will we miss the chance to get in?

Is it totally crazy to plan a trip for this time? I want to hear all about your experiences!

Disney has Phased Closures;

Phase 1 - No window tickets, single day tickets, cast member passes
Phase 2 - All as above plus no multi-day offsite park tickets
Phase 3 - Only resort guests and AP holders and in-park reservations
Phase 4 - No one is allowed it

DHS has only had 1 closure in the last 5 years but current predictions are that there will be significant closures from Dec 25 to January 1 this year based on hotel occupancy and the generally higher crowds already reported this year.

We're in the same boat - I am a teacher and we are going 12/26 - 1/2 - we've never been that week and I know that it will be packed but we will just take it all in and enjoy all that we are able to do! I know that MK will probably reach capacity most days that we are there but I'm not sure about the other parks. We plan to do some resort hoping to check out all of the decorations as well as visit all 4 parks.

Has anyone flown from JFK airport to Orlando on Jet Blue in the first week of December? The airplane ticket prices seem to be going up every time I check. I'm wondering what a good price would be round trip for 2 people? The current prices range for 2 people round trip are from $566 to 678. That's way too much.
