Do you carry your DVC ID?

so we are here now at BLT. I already upgraded to our DVC APs and got our TIW card. Even with the magic bands for keys and charging, my wallet still feels too full (I carry my wife's ID and things too). How many of you still carry your card around and how often do you use it? I know there are a few discounts with it but I don't think I'd miss anything since we have the other cards. I know if we go to TOTWL I'd need it too, but anything else?

You'll need your member id or annual pass card in order to get any discounts. You'll need your member id to access the Top of the World Lounge.

Only if you want any DVC discounts or you are activating a DVC AP/PAP or you are going to the TOTWL. I always have my DVC card, my drivers license and my AP in my tiny little bag. Plus some money and my camera.

This is my bag. http://www.ebags.com/product/donna-...183818&sourceid=MSNKPRODUCT&couponid=55583734

I never leave home without my DVC ID card. It stays in my wallet in case I run into the Disney Store or wherever I might be able to get my discount. And if you want any of your DVC discounts, you must have it. I know since the inception of Magic Bands a lot of folks seem to think their entire life is on that band, but it really isn't. :mickeybar I personally would not go anywhere without my photo I.D. You never know what can happen.

Always. I always have my AP card, DVC card and TIW card with my licence. DH has a special small CC wallet he uses just for these 4 things. I have a wallet on a string type thing I wear at WDW so I don't technically have a bag.

Still have to carry my Drivers license, Wifes Drivers license, DVC cards, AP's, TIW and a CC. I wish Disney would get their act together and get DVC,PS, TIW linked to the magic bands so I dont have to carry anything.

I don't think that Disney wants to give DVC discounts, they want to offer DVC discounts. There is a big difference.

umm, have to ask, why isn't every one carrying their own ID?

WDW is a magical place but I imagine the parks have their share of pickpockets. both DH & I use small zipped ID lanyard wallets & attach it to our belt loop and place in pocket. the times when I don't have pockets in my shorts or a sun dress, it gets tucked down my shirt. We only take what we need for the day. Credit cards/money/etc is kept in hotel safe. On travel days I do take a small vera bag that is big enough to hold my travel folder.

not to say I don't stuff my DH's cargo pant pockets full of water bottles, hats, ponchos:rolleyes1but at least we don't have to go thru the bag line.

When at the Parks, there are only a few things I remove from my wallet. I still carry my Driver's license, one credit card, my DVC member card, my TiW card, my AP card, my health insurance card, my proof of auto insurance, and my wife's list of meds and allergies. It may sound like a lot, but it really isn't. I would rather have all the essential items with me rather than wish I had the items if something goes wrong. Like they say, prepare for the worse and hope for the best.

Last October was the first trip (in 12 years) they asked for my picture id along with my DVC card. In the past, I've always gotten discounts with just the dvc card or KTTK (room) card.

There are not just a "few discounts." The DVC Member Card, like the AP card, gives you a 10% discount on merchandise purchases at any of the stores in the parks and resorts. Thus, if you plan to buy any merchandise at all you need to carry one of those two cards because you cannot get those discounts with just your Magic Band.

we have a 2 year old with a condition that requires a crazy amount of attention. DW is always focused on him, so I'm more in charge of the tickets and financial stuff. It's a system that works pretty well for us.
