Tell me about Teppan Edo...is it good? We have always wanted to go but have never been able to book a table and I tried today on a whim and got an ADR for our last day.

We went last September,it was so great. DH is a picky eater and he loved it. We are going back in August.

We were there in sept with our family and had a really good meal & the service was terrific.

It's good and definitively worth doing, especially if it's something you don't find at home!

Love it there! One of our favorite restaurants and a must do every time! Keep in mind that they sit you at a table of 8. So if your party is smaller than that, they will be sitting you with other guests. We've had a great time every time and the food is great!

We haven't eaten there since 2012 for our Disneymoon but it was AMAZING!! Hubbs and I can be pretty picky but we ate every bit of it. The only part I didn't care for was the dessert...I tried the chocolate ginger cake and didn't care for the taste but hey I thought you can't mess up chocolate cake...My Hubbs had the green tea pudding and liked it well enough. I had a bite, again no thank you. Haha!

We will be back there for our trip in 2 weeks...I'll just make sure to order the soft serve ice cream for dessert this time (unless they have some other new options to try). I say definitely give it a try! It might surprise you!

We just thought it was okay. Every Benihana that I have been to has been better. We didn't really like the sukiyaki rice. The sushi was actually really good, but it comes from Tokyo Dining in the same building. DH and DS split a plate. The kids menu didn't have steak, and DS really likes steak. So, we got a kids chicken and an adult steak. We felt the food was a slightly bland and a slightly overcooked. I might go back if there weren't so many other places to try in Epcot. The show was good, and DS really enjoyed that.

We used to go every trip. The kids like it and the food is very good. We now have a very good Hibachi restaurant locally that we go to occasionally. Since there are so many choices at WDW we skip this one now. If you do not have or go to this type of restaurant at home, it is a great experience.

My kid loved it and I thought it was fine. We have hibachi places locally that are a better value. We both had seafood and scallops and shrimp were cooked perfectly, Service was lovely (we were celebrating my birthday and there were fun, polite shenanigans ;)). We loved the chocolate ginger cake and green tea ice cream. I am taking a different DS this trip, haven't decided whether we will return to this place or not but I would happy to return.

NOTE1: Hibachi tables seat eight (two each side, four front side). Sometimes they can
squeeze nine if several kids. Depending upon the chef it can be exciting and entertaining,
or it can be almost dull. Quality is below a Benihana, but above average for Japanese
cuisine. It should be noted that medium or large appetites will want to stop before or
after dinner for a snack, as portions are medium-sized and big eaters can leave hungry.
(Just to answer a common question, they only serve white rice, as fried rice is Chinese.
But, they have just started serving "beef rice", which is white rice with beef juice.)
.
NOTE2: We think the Benihana at the Hilton in the Downtown Disney Hotel District is better
than Teppan Edo for both food quality and "the show" the chef puts on.

food and atmosphere is AMAZING....dinner...not so much. only because its more authentic to the Japanese cuisine. but when you eat in a japanese restaurant i expect that. the food and presentation is WELL WORTH IT. we have been every year the last 6 years in a row. must do for us.

One of our must do's. Food is pretty good and it's one of our favorites. They actually cook the food like it should be from a Japanese cuisine. If you are into typical American food that has too much salt and way too many spices then you will probably think this food is not very tasty. Entertainment is enjoyable unless you eat at this type of place often, they all do about the same things. They keep on schedule with your adr time, never waited more than 5 minutes. Not a big selection of desserts but you get plenty to eat at dinner.

A really good & fun place to go. My family loves Hibachi places and we have several within a 25 minute ride of our home. The food at Teppan Edo is as good or better than all of them. And the atmosphere can't be beat. Get a frozen Kirin Lager. They somehow freeze the head and put a curly q on it like the Dairy Queen.

There are 2 downsides though. First, it seems to take forever to get seated, even though you have an ADR. And second, your local hibachi probably has a better show than at Teppan Edo. The Teppan Edo chefs can't work a lot of fire into the show like your local hibachi. I was told that Disney's insurance experts won't allow it.

On our trips, we all pick 1 restaurant to go back to and this is my oldest dd's choice. We all love it, except dh, Although he likes the food, he says he has already seen the "show" and he doesn't love eating with others at the same table, although he will chat up a storm with whoever we sit with and likes Biergarten, so go figure! My dd loves the swordfish, I get the chicken and it is always delicious and I think the others get steak. I think you will enjoy it a lot, as long as you don't mind meeting new people right at your table!

We really, really enjoyed it! I have to say the filet mignon I got there was the best I've ever had! It just melted in your mouth. Okay....now I want steak!

Our hometown Hibachi is way better. I thought the chicken was really dry. I also didn't care for the rice. I think it was a beef sukiyaki rice or something like that.

Thanks. We are a party of 8 and even if we weren't we wouldn't mind other people at our table. My family is pretty outgoing (we call my dad the FBI agent because he is such a talker and asks everyone 1000 questions).

We dont normally do hibachi in our hometown and my in-laws are coming in from Denmark and I dont know that they have hibachi any where near where they live.
