I've heard of this, too. I don't think it's going to get result Disney the result it wants. We were planning to stay three nights at a universal resort in January, then move to AKV. We've usually rented points because it's cheaper. But if had a good BB or AP rate, I'd have booked through Disney just to have the flexibility in changing out dates. If the flexibility is gone, I'll just rent points and get travel insurance.
Speaking of Floaters......last visit, DH ordered me a Large Grey Goose slushy, with the floater....OMG!!! So good I had another!!

Let us know the dates of your trip if you would like to be added to the Be Our Guest list we keep on Page 1.
As another poster has responded, yes, there is/are toasters available in the BC Marketplace for guest use.

Thanks! I'm super excited for our first trip. I'd love to be added to the list. Our dates are August 20-26. thank you!
Aaaagh!! I'm so frustrated. We are taking a trip 6/6-6/13 to Disney. Originally I wanted a BC/Poly split but couldn't get the BC for the dates needed. There was always one day (the 10th of all things) that wasn't available. So I finally booked a Poly Standard view room for the whole time. I'm pretty concerned about the construction though so I have been continuously checking for BC rooms to open up plus we do love BC. Finally today an AP discount room opened up for 10-13 and I was thrilled. I booked it and then went online to adjust my Poly dates. Here is where my frustration starts (continues??) when I try to reduce my room nights to checkout on the 10th it/Disney website won't let me do it. It treats it like a new booking and only gives different classes of rooms (i.e. more expensive ones!) for the reduced days. So frustrating since I know the room is there but it won't let me keep our standard but just for less days. Now, I have one room booked for the 6-13th and the other for the 10-13th until I decide what to do. Blah! I really don't want construction during out whole stay but was willing to gamble on part of it. Plus, I wanted to check out the new Poly pool area and the Trader Sams. Rant over. Anyone have any luck calling vs. booking online with this sort of issue? I tried calling and the guy just said he didn't see availability for those days and wasn't flexible. I wonder if someone else would be more willing.
another Hockey Mom here!
(miss those days, my DS have grown up! Now we watch the games together! GO BLACKHAWKS!!)
It was crowded, and we ended up talking to this one poor guy who was holding his 60lb daughter who was fast asleep and no one bothered to give up seating for the guy.

Caps fans here too!! My eldest plays and will be a peewee this coming season. Cheering for the Ducks for the rest of the playoffs.
no not the ducks!
eldest DS is hard of hearing, and we found AHIHA (American Hearing Impaired Hockey Association) when he was 4. The day they were teaching him to skate, a HS Kid was practicing on the same ice - and somehow hit a puck hard enough to sail through the air and hit DS and knocked him down, the coach (I think a HS Kid) carried his limp body off the ice, and dh and I ran down to him - he looked up, sweat and tears and all, and said "Mom I made a friend" my heart cracked... Hockey is the BEST thing that entered our life! Hockey is Life! He still gets on the ice, he didn't qualify for the Deaf Hockey Olympics (his hearing, not deaf enough) but he still helps Deaf kids...
and the AHIHA summer camp was filled with coaches from Univ of WI and of course Stan Mikita's "friends" (i.e. Blackhawks) Imagine going in to a locker room to see THE STAN Mikita on his knees tying your kids skates! I'll never forget it - and Stan replied "no mom, I'm not a former pro player, I'm just Uncle Stan"

Just brought my DS to Logan this morning. He entered the Army almost one year ago and went through Basic, Officer Candidate School, and Military Police trainings. His short leave ended today and is now enroute to his first set of orders in South Korea where he will be for the next year.
Please reassure me that we'll have enough quick breakfast & lunch options available to us that we won't be bored, since we'll probably be doing breakfast and lunch at the resort every day.
