Strangest thing you HAVE to pack?

We are leaving (finally) for our Disney Fantasy vacation on Friday morning. My packing is 95% done. I am so excited I can't hardly stand it...

So of course I'm freaking out about what I am forgetting...

Tell me - what's the most unusual thing that you pack that you couldn't live without on a cruise? I've got clothes, toiletries, cash, CM gifts, etc. all taken care of. I'm looking for anything that might not be obvious to someone who doesn't cruise often.

waterproof watch: I like to hang out in the pool or hot tub in the late afternoon and there is no clock visible in the adult area. So, I need a waterproof watch to know when it is time to get ready for the show!

  • a powerbar.... but not for a DCL cruise as they are forbidden. I hate getting up mid night to swap out my chargers
  • a motion activated battery powered night light. I'm going to look for a light switch as I'm stubbling in a foreign room
  • masking tape.... to mark my suit case, tape up one of those night lights at the corner to not bump into it
  • magnet flashlight to mount to the ceiling or other ships with metal walls

glo sticks - kids & deck parties...they go hand in hand
magnets - we usually stick our excursion tickets to the ceiling or the wall near the doorway so we don't forget them.
highlighter - to mark "do not miss" events in the navigators

My lap quilt. If I find that I can somehow manage to bring my quilt that I made, I do. And I spread it out on my bed and sleep with it over the top of the duvet. It's a rag quilt that I made myself back in 2011 or so. It's the perfect weight. I love it so much! If I have even more space to pack beyond my quilt I will bring my little Sweet Pea pillow, too.

Not strange, but a luggage scale. No way am I paying the airline's overweight fees, lol.
Yep...me too. I take one on every vacation so I can distribute my "souvenir haul" appropriately on my return flights. :)

I also bring an atomic travel alarm clock that has an auto-nightlight feature (backlit at night so you can see the time). It's super slim/tiny and weighs next to nothing..so it isn't a hassle to pack. But, I absolutely must be able to see what time it is if I wake up in the middle of the night or early morning......and I am not a fan of having to sit up and lean over my husband to check the time if the Disney provided clock is on his side of the bed. Yeah....I'm a little quirky like that. LOL

my wife brings hand sanitizers, by the way they set the alarms off going thru customs body scan area. Send them through with carry on baggage. The DW also has a canister of wet-ones that she cleans the room with before the luggage gets there. 2 bottles of soft soap, one for each bathroom.

Clothes pins. Helps hold the drapes open or closed. Can set items on the balcony chairs without much concern for current wind. they can also be sued to mark whose towels is whose.

bringing hand sanitizers? Great! They're so hard to come by on a DCL ship....:p:joker:

Not strange but our tablets, as they have all our books, magazines and time wasting games (along with a few to pass the time for the youngest given an extended wait en-route while traveling).

That quilt is SO GORGEOUS!!! I would bring it everywhere too if I had it. Can you make me one please? :worship:
