The ABC's of Trip Planning, Pt 1- K is for Keeping Things Kooky- Drinks V-Z; pg. 197 + New Link

Disney Visa...yaaayyy!! I don't think that's even available to us Canucks up here...bum deal. That's pretty cool though. What an awesome theatre day you had!! Good luck on your exam tomorrow!!! I'm sure you will do great!!

That is a major bum deal! You should start a petition. ;)

Thanks, I will certainly do my best and see where that gets me. After the exam I promised to help a friend fill out some Contempt of Court papers. She is too emotionally raw to do it alone, so offering a little moral and practical support in the small way I can. I told her I'd drive over to the County Courthouse an hour away to file them as well, so not sure when I can let you all know how I did.

You all look beautiful, of course.

And once again, you all look beautiful.
And the food looks yummy! So the BBQ is built into the table, correct?
Does it get hot?

Thank you, and thank you! Yes, it is right there a'flamin' away ready to destroy any meat left on too long. Which we did a few times. We gave it to the guys when we got home because they'll eat anything. The ones we've done in the past have also had a moat of water around the grill so you could cook soup right there too at the same time. This one didn't appear to have that option, which was kind of a bummer.

It wasn't hot enough to burn you by just reaching over it to pass meat to the other side or to turn the meat, maybe because the actual fire was sunken so far down? It didn't make the table hot to sit at or anything either.

First a day at the Theater: Let me just say, the Musical, Phantom of the Opera, was fabulous in every way.

I'm going to see Phantom with Marlene on Broadway in June. Ever since "Cats" I'm not an Andrew Lloyd Webber fan, but both Marlene and James have already seen Phantom and assure me that the opening, if nothing else, will blow me away.

Letter V. It's a pretty groovy letter cuz it also stands for VISA card. I finally took the plunge and got one.

I have the Disney Visa and I'm on the $49 deal. I actually signed up for it a few years ago.

I love my Disney Visa. I usually end up with between $300 and $400 to spend by the time my trip rolls around. I charge everything I can to it and it does add up.

I have it (charter member, woop woop) and recently noticed a glitch (I think) that I hope they don't catch. Kathy, you'll love this. We get 4% on Starbucks card reloads. Their system somehow recognizes it as both a restaurant and grocery. If you use your Visa card at the store, it's only 2% (restaurant). But if you reload your Starbucks app, you get 2% + 2%. Ssshhhh! :ssst:

The rewards $ I have on it will go a long way (not all the way unfortunately) toward paying for our meals in June.

Wow, you are the nicest friend...to make the time to help her out when you are so busy already. In regards to your pet rat...uh...I believe you BUTTT I don't think I've ever heard anyone refer to a rat as "sweet"? But I'm sure they can be...I just haven't seen it lol

Yeah. We're good for that.

Huh. I thought the heat coming up from the fire would make the table warm too.
Interesting.

I'm glad you had such a nice night out with the show! I got to see Phantom on Broadway years ago and really enjoyed the production. And I'm not much of a Broadway guy.

I have a Disney Visa, but I'm too cheap for the better rewards so I have the no-annual-fee version. Still, we've been saving for a couple of years now and have about $400 to spend, whenever next time is. Nice to know it's there. We were disciplined on our frequent flier miles and saved them for 15 years, and that ended up getting us to Hawaii, so it's worth it!

Oh, and I hope your exam went well!

Buahahahahahaha!

Anyone wanna guess my test score? ;)

I know that I owe you a million replies, but I am tempted to just throw in a quick guess: 92? ((and it really is a total guess as I still have no clue how your system works. I just know that you were not happy with 88! So I hope it is better than 88!).

Let's start off with a big sigh of relief, shall we. Technically, I started out with a Peach Belini and breakfast, which I dearly wish you all could have joined me for. Except that I was helping a friend fill out Contempt of Court paperwork to file, and that wouldn't be very fun for you all in the least. After that I took a nap. And I wanted the whole bed to myself, so I didn't invite you. Sowwies.

That lasted approximately an hour before I had this hellish nightmare of being drugged and couln't wake up, and the phone ringing. That was that. Oh well.

So, I guess the first thing we can all start off together with (aside from that little thought you sent Upstairs this morning) is a big sigh of relief. One more Exam out of the way, and a couple of hours to kill before I hit up the lectures for tomorrow's class lectures. (Every lecture we have is a BOGO.) Breathe in... Breathe out.... You feel better already, don't you?

I guess the first order of business is letting you all know what I got. Apparently, I am absolutely and utterly incapable of getting anything above a 90% out of these infernal exams. :furious: So close. Every. Stinking. Time. I know I should be grateful (or proud of my hard work, blah, blah, blah,) as some are still only barely passing. I have a bad feeling we will lose another few this term. But darn it.

I had targeted 5 questions on this test that I thought I would probably miss and even went back and changed those answers (briefly) to right answers. Then thought...NO! they always tell us to leave our answers alone as 99% of the time they are changed to the wrong answer. Unless you are me. I changed them back... to the wrong answers and missed 4 of those 5, plus 2 more I thought I had right. DOH!!! So, my record, in case you're just now joining this mega-long saga of:

A Nursing School Adventure Ending with a Graduation Trip to Disney (sounds cool huh!?!), is:

88%, 88%, 88%, 88%.

It's almost comical. Almost, if it weren't so tragically 2% behind an A. Moving on. I'll stop "crying in my beer". And have a rum and Coke later while I learn about Upper and Lower GI Dysfunctions. Please contain your excitement over learning about Bowel Obstructions with me.

Now, onto the next order of business we can all do together. I hope you like my group activities as much as I do! I know I skipped 'U's pictures. Sorry. I was busy. But I found some beauties for 'V'. Let's start with this piece of art:

Needless to say, we watched the turtle surgery for quite some time. It was pretty darned handsome, and the whole affair captivated the bystanders as they stood mesmerized by his green covering.

The turtle that the
Veterinarian worked on was pretty cool too.

How about a
View? I mean any meal would taste great with one like this right? Even a pink slime burger would probably be fabulous if I got to eat it watching fireworks overlooking a Magical Kingdom such as this. However in this case, I had the added bonus of truly wonderful food including a freakishly amazing Cheese Plate whose memory is making me slobber all over my keyboard right now. Add a flatbread (fancypants word for pizza) and a couple glasses of a light white wine- WHOA! NOMALICIOUS, PEOPLE!

Let's move to
Venice. We can all do that together right? Who would like to set up our GoFundMe?

Lastly, let's end with this... Pretty easy for most of you (in order for you to redeem yourselves after your near miss on the Teacups). GO!

Still making my way around the threads as I can. @MEK and @eandesmom, I know I am woefully behind on yours and actually read some last night, but will get there, as well as to your excapades of wrecking a ship, @Flossbolna.

Lurkers.... You do realize you are all welcome. No one bites here (well, ok, there are a couple. I'll try to control them, but no guarantees); join in and say hi!

Well, no. But the Bellini sounds good!

Ruby is pretty easy going, but even she might frown at that anyway.

88%, 88%, 88%, 88%.

 I knew it!

Please contain your excitement over learning about Bowel Obstructions with me.

I'll try. Butt it's not going to be easy.

Typo. You wrote "his" instead of "hers".
Not to worry. I was looking in the right direction anyway.

Let's move to Venice. We can all do that together right? Who would like to set up our GoFundMe?

I'm in! I have unfinished business there.
I will get to Murano some day!

I've seen him..... Ah. Balcony at the Muppets.

:rolleyes1

No one bites here

Welll.....

(well, ok, there are a couple. I'll try to control them, but no guarantees)

That's better.

You should be very proud, even if you didn't break that 90 barrier.

Isn't that by the ovens in Via Napoli?

I'm all FOR nurses when I need to be taken care of........probably as close as I'll get............. :rotfl2:

I'm all for nurses too!!

Wait. You mean they don't wear those ultra revealing uniforms?

No, we get to wear really cool scrubs with a ton of pockets for stuff like...

Scissors

that can make YOUR clothing come off quite quickly should it need to. Oh my how the tables can turn, can't they? Let me add that the nurses in non-revealing clothing also choose both needle and catheter sizes should the patient's condition "warrant" it.

:rotfl2::lmao::rotfl2::lmao:

I should have put money on this.

:sad2:

Well, as long as the guys get equal time staring at the females in the room...

Whoa! What happened to that whole equal time thing???
