So what bothers you at WDW that may not bother anyone else???

My biggest and probably only pet peeve...is people who get frustrated/angry while on vacation at Disney. Really! It's supposed to be a vacation. I try not to let all the other things people in here have mentioned bother me....cause I'm on vacation and just want to be happy! There is always going to be something annoying happening around you everyday. After reading all of these posts...I think I'll be smiling a little bit more when I notice these things. Thanks for a bit of Extra Magic!

It completely drives me nuts that people on the DIS call the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique the "Bippity Boppity boutique". HATE it.

Also, when people add an S to the end of the name of a restaurant. I had a friend who would ask me if I wanted to grab lunch at Subway's. Ohana's. Boma's.

Drives me insane! :crazy2:

YES!!

The Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique has no P and no Y!
And it's 'Ohana not O'hana. It's not an Irish restaurant.
Dining plan not dinning plan.
Garden Grill not Garden Grille.

Can you tell I have been reading dining reviews?

Exactly. I'm not sure why people find this annoying. I guess cause they are me me attitude. I don't know. It comes down to if you snooze you lose. Disney is too crowded for me to give up an empty table with my crowd. People can judge me. I don't care. There has been plenty of times I parked my butt on the castle and had a picnic. I don't need a table or chair myself. But for those in my party that do. Then I get it for them.

I say it's just bad planning on you if you don't get a table. Its not my fault you waited. Lol
I find it ironic that you accuse others of a "me me" attitude while you exhibit it yourself in your "you snooze you lose" comments.

Please don't vacation in pain. If you need to save your energy and escape the pain longer then please rent a scooter or do whatever you feel you need to so that you can enjoy your trip. Suffering in pain should never be an option. Just plan accordingly, which I'm sure you're already doing. I'm glad you understood the points of my comments and realize I'm in no way trying to be curt towards those who use a scooter or wheelchair. I just came from the mall with my 80yr old aunt and that said sister with lupus. We were out shopping for something for our aunt to wear to my sister's daughter's wedding next weekend. Our aunt can walk short distances with her cane but because we were in an large outlet mall I suggested she use her wheelchair from store to store to save her energy but while she was inside the store she could walk around and shop if she felt up to it. I even had to let another customer know that she was next in line when the cashier saw my aunt in the wheelchair and started to take her instead of taking the woman who she overlooked because she spotted my aunt's chair. I insisted that the woman who was in line go ahead because she was there before us and I even told her that I was just having an online discussion about line jumping or going ahead of others simply because of a family member being in a chair. I told her I refuse to jump ahead. She finally went ahead.

Enjoy your next trip.

Thanks for the encouragement from all who commented. I still am hesitant. You see, I was one of "those" who looked at others who used wheelchairs, carts, etc, and then jumped up and walked or got onto rides. NOW I know that even though they walked a little bit, they really needed the assist. This is the one sticking point that keeps me from getting a cart. I know how it looks. I can walk for a little while, but the pain gets to me pretty early, so I rest, take another pain pill, and try again. By noon, I am done, so go back to the resort. Rest, then try another park for a while. I just can't seem to get over the stigma associated with using these vehicles. All of the statements made are true; I should do it. Maybe I will get over all this and do it this year. Thanks to all for your kind comments.

Exactly. And I would like to see them try to get a table without food during the times they have CMs keeping guests from doing just that.

Because it's bad planning on those who take their entire party up to the line. Why? Why does a family of 12 let's say need to all stand in line when one person orders and pays.

Just makes no sense.

Your poor planning does not make it someone else's fault.

You decided to wait. That is a loss. You snoozed instead of planning in a busy atmosphere. Sorry.

BUBBLES!!!!! I hate those stupid bubble guns that Disney sells, or the even the regular bottle of bubbles. My husband wears glasses and I have a nice camera. The bubbles pop and leave a residue on lenses that doesn't simply wipe off. I also don't appreciate the soap on my clothes, and by the way, some people are allergic to the soap. No one wants hives or a rash on vacation. I get that you want to keep your children entertained while they wait in line, but queues have way too tight quarters for you to be blowing bubbles all over unsuspecting strangers around you. You can play with bubbles to your hearts content at home, but please stop blowing bubbles at the parks.

Also, while I absolutely expect to run into children having a good time (and sometimes not having a good time) at Disney, I still expect parents to you know, parent. Like DisneyJediMaster said, it is not okay to let your kids run around disturbing other people. Having kids does not allow you special privilege at Disney. Kids will be kids and laughing, crying, even some screaming is par for the course, but it is your job as a parent to teach your kids how to behave in public. Running around tables dodging other guests, climbing on things that they shouldn't, pulling out leaves or flowers... these are all unacceptable behaviors and I will give you the "stink eye" right back if you don't control your kids. You are not the only one paying to be there, you know.

I totally agree that Disney doesn't give an excuse not to parent. I'm just saying that adults shouldn't be aggravated just by being in the presence of kids. What irks me is when adults just assume my kids are going to act out just because their kids. I wouldn't take them to a table service restaurant to eat or on a certain attraction if they can't behave. And yes, I have given the "stink eye" to a few parents who don't try to control their kids in the parks as well.....

With that said, another thing that bothers me is when people feed to animals. I for one don't want to have to guard my lunch from a swarm of birds. I'm pretty sure this is against the rules as well. But people are always feeding them and they always hang around for more... Plus, I'm not sure it safe for them to be eating chicken nuggets...

It is not bad planning. Indeed, it helps the tables turn over faster and keeps people that have food from having to wander around. Not getting a table until you have food makes everything flow better. And I'm glad Disney blocks people from getting tables before they get food when the parks are busy.

Disney does not block people from getting a table. This is hilarious. You my dear are funny.

You have never been to Disney.

CM's can and do block tables during peak times in busy travel seasons. We noticed it the week of Christmas at Pecos Bill and Pinocchio Village Haus.

I have never seen this happen unless it's reserved seating.

Annual pass holder here. I'm there all year long. But every day has it circumstances.

We were at MK on a very busy Saturday in September. At Pecos Bills, there were CM's standing near the tables and showing folks with their food open tables. When we first arrived we were told that we could not sit at a table until we were with our entire party and had our food. I have read on these boards that this is becoming common practice at busy CS locations. Happened one other trip at Cosmic Rays.

I don't know why you have to keep on "laughing" at people who don't agree with you. It's really quite dismissive and contemptuous.

Photographic evidence. Cosmic Ray's, December 24th, 2010. People waiting in line to be seated.

I am not an annual pass holder, but it did happen twice our last vacation third week of June 2013. Once at AK Restaurantosaurus and once at MK Pecos Bill. We were there for 13 days and it surprised us as these were the only 2 times we saw it. Just because you haven't seen it doesn't mean it doesn't happen.

Another pet peeve is people who are insultingly certain that they are right who, I guarantee, won't admit they were wrong even when faced with photographic proof. The good news is that people like you are easy to spot -- proper planning can ensure not only that there is no direct interaction, but that normal people don't even end up sitting next to people like you where they might be forced to listen to you.
