I Can! I Can Stink at 9am! A January TR - 3/8 New TR Link!

Complete with Boogie pickin' pics
Gotta have those! :thumbsup2 Love the family selfies, by the way.

the companion restroom if anyone wants to know. Love those so DH and I can tag team!
Love those too! I don't think I'd set foot in one before Izzy, but they are so handy with a little one! ::yes::

Also, what's up with pooping in the queue of this ride?:confused3
I think someone beat me to mentioning his comprehension of fertilizer. :rotfl2:

Spoiler alert for the rest of the trip: Rides that aren’t ever supposed to have waits, always ended up being at least a 15 minute wait.
:headache:

We hung around for at least 15 minutes there before having to literally carry him out of there and strap him down into his stroller :rotfl2: Poor kid, but we got other fun stuff to do.
Been there. :goodvibes (Also, watching the video, that Figment music is getting me SO excited! :figment:)

Can't wait to find out what you do next and really excited to hear about Tutto Gusto. Haven't gotten there yet, but maybe we can work it in this trip.

We got back from WDW and a cruise last week so my post-Disney blues are pretty high right now ;)
Emma, hi! :wave2: Are you planning to do a TR for your land and sea? :goodvibes

Honestly, if the Ellen ride wasn't so loooooooooong I would probably ride it more. But it's just so looooooooooooong. Plus animatronic Ellen scares me more than all the dolls in Small World.

:rotfl: You're right, she is soooo creepy!

Living with the Land though, I'm all in for that. I swear every time I ride (which doesn't seem to be every trip) I always think "Yeah it's ok" and then I ride and remember how much I actually like it.

I really do enjoy the ride too! I love seeing how they grow their vegetables so orderly and then I get home and look at my crappy, unorganized garden :rotfl2:

Love this. Clearly no characters in the area. Present company excluded of course.

Uh, you are talking about DH right??

:rotfl2: Clearly there is something that affects him about this ride. For some it's Mexican food, for him it's Living with the Land. No biggie.

The problem was, it was a biggie!!:faint::lmao:

To be honest, not really. There's actually people in your photo.

Ha! For reals! It really was insane how long the line was for it.

Hmmmm... Colour me intrigued. :scratchin

That's coming right up as soon as I get to all these responses! Hmm, now that I think of it, I don't know if i've seen you have one in your TR's.

Aw, I really enjoy Living with the Land. But a solid just "enjoy" - not love like BTMRR or Soarin' but not dread like Stitch. Too funny that DS has diaper issues in line! Maybe he finds the queue really relaxing? :confused3

That's a great way of putting it. Yes I definitely enjoy LwtL but don't love like EE or TT! He must have remembered the smell from when he was little and was like, "Yep, my pooping place!":rotfl:

The play areas are so great - we spent so much time in all of the playgrounds and dump areas. The boys love running around and moving outside of the stroller.

It really is such a great spot for him to get out and run around for a little while. And indoors too which is a plus when the weather isn't great!

Yes! I loved being able to switch things around quickly on my phone. Now just ready for them to make additional FP+ on the app!

Have they made that modification yet? I hope they do, that will be nice.

Intrigued! :goodvibes

That's coming up!

It's throwback ride day!!! How do you know you have a toddler? Because the land the figment in a row makes their day ; )

Exactly! :rotfl2: But I liked it too. For the toddler in me, I guess!

Seriously can't believe you had the same issue on The Land as before. Of course all that lettuce in the land does have a lot of fiber. Perhaps he is just channeling that early.

Love this answer! :lmao:

3rd worst attraction or not I do love the land, but largely for sentimental childhood reasons. I do not however have the same love for Figment, perhaps because they changed it along the way. But as you know from my trip reports, my daughter like your son loves this freaking thing - so ride it over and over we do. But a 20 minute wait, that is crazy. I think we've always just walked on.

I really wish I could have seen the original Figment, I have heard that is way better than this one. And yeah, 20 minutes is just ridiculous for this ride, maybe 10 minutes TOPS but never again. And same here, we've only ever walked on, even during the busiest time in Summer. I swear, this new FP system is messing up the waits.

Can't wait to see what you scratch off the list next...

It's a good one! :hyper:

So much Epcot fun!!! I totally LOVE Figment and the Land...but yeah...my DH thinks both are lame...but his tends to be more of a hard core coaster theme park person...not somuch with Disney...where I on the other hand...well you get it obviously! Hilarious about the poop bombs both times on the Land!! What are the odds! But that is funny that your DS isn't much of a Figment fan...both my kids found that ride terrifying when they were little too!! But now they just love the Figment character(as do I). I agree though - there really shouldn't be a wait for those...those are the rides that you are supposed to be able to just walk on anytime!!!

I love all rides Disney has! With the exception of Stitch. Ugh, the smell of that burp just tends to linger FOREVER!:crazy2::rotfl2: How funny that your kids found them scary, but I can see that! The stuffed version seems much more friendly! :rotfl:

Might sound odd but have DH go to a dentist and get checked for TMJ. A few years ago I had a facial muscle seize up due to it and it cut off my hearing in that ear. I had to get shots in my face to get the muscle to relax.

Holy moly that sounds absolutely painful! He actually hasn't been to the dentist since this happened but he does have an appointment in the next few months so we'll ask about that, thanks!:goodvibes

The picture with Minnie will be a classic no doubt. On the bright side, if you crop out DH and DS you have a fabulous picture of you and Minnie!

:rotfl2:You're so right, just a girls only picture!

HAHA you got me! :rotfl:

:lmao:

|
OMG I love Living with the Land, I can't cope with all this hate it's getting!! :sad2::laughing:

I promise I don't hate it! Although with all the pooping that's happening with DS, i'm starting to strongly dislike it:rotfl:

Of course!

Right? This TR wouldn't be complete without DS picking his nose. ::yes::

Gorgeous family!

Aw thank you!

OF COURSE this happened!! LOL :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Seriously, right on queue. You couldn't make this stuff up!

I haven't been on since I was a kid, and I don't remember it at all!! Maybe I need to revisit it this year :goodvibes

Considering all the times you've been, i'm shocked you haven't been on lately!

I'm glad to hear you're on board with FP+, I love it too! People say it takes the fun out of WDW, but if I can sleep in until 11am, roll to Hollywood Studios and use a fastpass at Toy Story Mania... SURELY that's better than getting there for rope drop and RUNNING!? :thumbsup2

No joke! That's totally another perk to this new system. I just wish they would tweak it a bit so that you can always replace a FP as soon as you use one.

Excited to hear about this! :goodvibes

Coming up as soon as I get through all the replies!

I love both LWTL and Figment! Nemo I always think they could have done more with, but I still really like it.

Bummer about the smelly ride, but when you gotta go you gotta go!

Thanks for thinking about me and Baltimore. My work is close to it but thankfully hasn't been directly affected. A lot of our patients live smack dab in the middle of it, so the biggest thing is getting them home safely. I just got home from the wedding so I haven't heard how the weekend went.

I really like WDW's Nemo than Disneyland's for sure. The idea is really cool with the subs and all, but dang is it tight in there.

And luckily he was in diapers by this point so he could go wherever he wanted to. How nice is that?!:rotfl:

I'm glad you were safe. That whole thing just got way out of hand and was so stinkin' ridiculous :sad2:

Alicia, just popping in to say hi and making sure I didn't miss an update (it's so hard to catch up after being gone for a week).

I love Living with the Land! Why haters gotta hate on it?? Also I don't actually mind Ellen's ride! It has Bill Nigh the Science Guy in it! ::yes::

Bill, Bill, Bill, Bill! Love the theme song! And love him too!

I was just thinking this update was severally lacking in boogie pickin' pics! Thanks for rectifying that! :lmao:

And don't you worry, plenty more boogie pics coming up!

So close! Maybe he just wants to join in and make some all natural fertilizer for the plants!

:rotfl2:
I"m loving all these answers i'm getting!

Hey maybe you should use that when its potty training time! Who needs to go "Living with the Land?" Works like a boat ride in Disney :thumbsup2

Wish I would have been training at that time!

I used to love Figment as a kid but then they went and changed everything. Not cool bro. Not cool.
I do really like Eric Idle though. I'm going to say because of Monty Python to sound all cultured and mature...but I'm lying...its because of Casper!! :rolleyes1

STOP!!!! I legit forgot he was in Casper!!!!:faint: That was my all time favorite movie growing up. Devon Sawa was so stinkin' dreamy :cloud9:

Ending on a cliff hanger!! The suspense!! popcorn::

Sorry it had to happen to make the TR more dramatic!

Love crossing things off the "to do" list! :thumbsup2

Those pictures in line for LWTL are so adorable, even the boogie picking picture! :rotfl2: I totally lol'd over that! It's perfect.

So - yeah - ummmm - what's in that queue that makes Calvin want to poop? How ironic that it happened twice. Good thing his timing was just a little off so that everyone could enjoy the ride. It's such a classic.

Adorable video at Figment. Love it!

WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAT? Playing Candy Crush on Nemo? Blasphemy I tell you!!!!!!! :rotfl2:

Today was my best day for my To-Do list! I got so much accomplished.

I have no idea what's up with the queue for LwtL! If it happens a third time though, i'm DONE with that ride cause now he's not in diapers and that would just be disastrous :crazy2:

I KNOW! DH is slightly obsessed with Candy Crush. Probably just as much as you ;)

Ah, I know that feeling well. Good thing my wife and I had our kids years ago and finished with that phase of lif--

Oh.:headache:

:rotfl:

Yeah, I have the feeling we're going to have to grow through this again at some point later in life...

After all, DM is bound to be in diapers soon right?! :rotfl2: Don't tell her I said that :ssst:

Well, of course it's not exactly right. Because we all know that Journey Into Imagination is far worse than any of the others.:rolleyes1

You don't like the Figment? I'm guessing you liked the original as does everyone else?

Maybe he knows the plants need fertilizer.

Seriously you guys come up with the best answers!

That is a great, great question. Along with, how in the heck did the wait for this ever get all the way up to 20 minutes??:confused3

For reals! A downfall to the FP+ system, definitely.

Your husband and I now have something in common.:thumbsup2

Uh, you forgot about the rubbernecking. Don't skim over that part Mark.8-)

I love how they make the characters appear in the fish tank! So cool!

I really love how they do that too. Like they're swimming with the real fish.

Not that you're really looking for an answer, but I believe the solution lies in the FastPass+ process - you can only pick one of your three pre-selected FP+ selections as a "E-Ticket" type ride, then the other two you have to choose from less popular attractions, thus load balancing, and also increasing the crowds on the rides that otherwise would not be that crowded. Plus, people can pick their FP+ selections what was it, 70 days out? So all the FP+ for the popular rides are gone for the people who book late, or only decide to go to a particular park last-minute (like local residents), so they go to the rides where there is a shorter wait time, thus driving up the wait times for those rides.

This is a great explanation. Unfortunately, now all the back-up rides that I planned as using as time fillers are no longer. I'm sure even Ellen has a long wait which is crazy!

I'm never going to think about the queue of LWTL the same way again! o_O

Jill in CO

:rotfl2: Same here! I'm debating ever going on this ride again with DS now that he's potty trained. Now that would just be gross :crazy2:

Your TR has convinced me to go to the Tune In Lounge! Your DH and DM always seem to have a blast there!

YES! The Tune In Lounge is such a fun that people tend to over look I think. The theming there is just spot on and the drinks are delicious.

Just caught up after 6 weeks away from the DIS. I loved your updates. Your son is so cute. Love the picture of the little man ready to go in his stroller.

Wow 6 weeks that is a long time. Hope all is okay :goodvibes

OK I'm behind but you know I had a rough weekend. It's taken me a few days to get back to reality. I can't believe that he pooped a second time. He must sense the need for fertilization on that ride and go bezerk! I'm glad you at least got to ride it finally.

That bites you had to actually wait for figment. It mmust be the FP+ demand making the waits longer. I really wish they wouldn't bring it to DL, but it is inevitable.

Have they announced when it's going to happen yet?! :sad2: I need to go to the parks before they implement it and stash some of the FP's away to remember the 'old' days.

Hi Lesha,

Sorry I've not commented for so long.. I somehow managed to sign out of the boards and then wasn't getting any thread updates!

All caught up now, really glad to hear DH is ok :cloud9: , and it looked like a great evening at DHS! GFV look so perfect, jealous you stayed there! We got back from WDW and a cruise last week so my post-Disney blues are pretty high right now ;)

Emma x

I HATE when that happens! Luckily, the DIS kind of dulls the pain when returning from a trip, IMO. I saw you post an album on FB but didn't look through it just in case you were going to do a TR I wanted to be surprised. Yes i'm weird :rotfl2:

NO.WAY. It happened again?! What are the odds?! Although you if you ask my sister (who has a 2 year old), she'd say "quite good"

Love the selfies before Living with the Land... even if there may have been some stinkiness in the air ;)

Awww, looks like DS had so much fun that morning! :cloud9:

:rotfl: I know, I couldn't believe it happened again. He timed it absolutely perfect!

DS really did have a good time that morning, he loves everything minus characters of course :rolleyes1

Hey Alicia! Gotta love that Calvin doesn't hold back his feelings towards those characters at the Character Spot. I think almost every parent can relate to that clinging for dear life moment right before a loud holler! Been there.

Just think of the memories you now have with Living With the Land - that poopy pants moment. :lmao: I'm not a fan of Figment and I certainly won't wait more than 30 seconds for it. I do get amused seeing the upside down room. I will add another attraction to the worst list at Epcot.... Circle of Life. No seatbelts, no ride photos, no warnings to not dance on the ride, no fun! Actually, we finally did that attraction last year. It was a nice escape from the heat so it's not all bad.

Hi Brenda! :) Ah yes, the character spot aka the torture chamber:rotfl2:

:rotfl: 30 seconds! :lmao: And hello! I completely forgot about that 'ride'! Thanks for reminding me of that one. I've only done it once, in 2008 I think, and remember thinking it was heaven because it was in June and just disgusting outside. Definitely a Summer attraction.

Wow could I be ANY more behind!?

I'm so glad you had such a great Vegas trip. You two certainly deserved it! That's amazing that DH did well enough in craps to cover the cost of the trip! And not to mention it's so much fun!

DH should definitely take you back to WDW to replace the travel mug! Wait... this gives me an idea... >:)

With the Gumdrop at DHS you finally ordered a drink I would choose! I think it's the first time in the history of all your TRs! LOL

The milkshake picture of DH and DM at Sci-Fi LOL

Great pics at the Osborne Lights! I love the family selfie with DS on DH's shoulders. And the tree at the entrance really is gorgeous at night!

What a perfect end to the night that you could see Wishes from your balcony! Ugh I'm dripping with jealousy. Amazing! And then you got to ride the monorail to Epcot the next morning. Even more jealous!!

Your photopass pictures really capture DS's terror at meeting the characters at Epcot. One day he will look back and laugh! He's still adorable though.

I'm going to guess that the reason you wanted to enter WS through Canada is so you can get a cronut.... Can't wait to find out if I'm right!

Heather!!

Oh geez, DH is already trying to plan another trip for July. Uh hello desert in the Summer

:rotfl::rotfl2: I died at your Gumdrop comment! And you're so right it's the first time we agreed on a drink! That choice made us upgrade from friends to best friends now! :hyper:

I couldn't have been happier (other than I guess viewing Wishes from the park itself!) with our view. Was never expecting a view and being able to see fireworks was definitely magical :goodvibes

OH my gosh you got it right!!!!:cheer2::bounce::jumping2::jumping1::jumping3: I'm going to have to edit my update to give you credit for getting it right!! party:

Alicia, just popping in to say hi and making sure I didn't miss an update (it's so hard to catch up after being gone for a week).

Kathy, I totally know how that feels. The whole fam has been sick, including me right now so i've been gone for a bit too and then with Mother's Day just made it even more difficult to log on. Glad to see you back from your trip and looking forward to hearing all about it!

Gotta have those! :thumbsup2 Love the family selfies, by the way.

Aww thanks! Gotta get DM in some of those. She HATES pics. Can't you tell by her fake smile?

Love those too! I don't think I'd set foot in one before Izzy, but they are so handy with a little one! ::yes::

They are brilliant! I've found a few of them. One in AK over near the new FotLK theater and one by Morocco. Wonder where else they have them.

I think someone beat me to mentioning his comprehension of fertilizer. :rotfl2:

I don't know why I couldn't come up with that one myself!

Seriously, I was so looking forward for all the non-popular rides to use as time fillers but they ended up being long. Especially in 'off season', I didn't expect it.

Been there. :goodvibes (Also, watching the video, that Figment music is getting me SO excited! :figment:)

Can't wait to find out what you do next and really excited to hear about Tutto Gusto. Haven't gotten there yet, but maybe we can work it in this trip.

DS will play that movie on the iPad and it instantly brings me back to that day. Just love the music!:cloud9:

Yes planning to.. Been uploading photos today so should make a start soon! :) x

Yay! Please let us know when you start it! :cool1:

Sorry everyone been gone for a bit and promise to get caught up on your TR's. We've been planning a road trip up to Seattle that will take place in June and are so excited! I've been wanting to do this for years and figured this Summer would be the best time to do this. Hopefully it won't be too much for DS but here's the plan:

Sunday, June 14 - Leave after church for Redding CA, about 5.5 hours from home, stay the night

Monday, June 15 - Drive to Winston, OR and do the Wildlife Safari and check in for the night at Seven Feather Resort and Casino. Yes. DH researched this one :rotfl2:

Tuesday, June 16 - Drive to Portland and do Oaks Park Amusement, stay the night in Portland

Wednesday, June 17 - Friday, June 19 - Two nights in Seattle and doing a Giants/Mariners Game, Space Needle and Chihuly Garden and Glass

Saturday, June 20 - One night in Newport, spend the day at the Oregon Coast Aquarium and hoping to check out the Rogue Brewery or at least one of the restaurants

Sunday, June 21 - Haven't decided yet but depending on how everyone's feeling and if we're not tired of being in the car at this point, we'll drive straight through the Redding, that's about a 6.5 hour drive. DH and I could do this if it was just us, but not sure how DS will do. Otherwise, the halfway mark is Seven Feathers Resort and Casino. Wow, how convenient. DH did a good job planning this :rotfl:

Monday, June 22 - If we end up making it to Redding, we'll be driving home this day, otherwise we'll be heading to Redding for the night and coming back home on Tuesday.

And now time for a TR update!:cool1:

Epcot!

Checking Off that To-Do List

We had just gotten out of the Living Seas Pavilion and headed towards the World Showcase, when I asked to go around through Canada. Now why in the world would I skip all the marvelous beverages (TEQUILA!) that Mexico has to offer and walk further from there. I have seen this Cronut pop up on many TR’s and heard great things about it so I knew I had to have it now! And I have to give props to @heathsf for figuring out where I was headed! :cool1:

And here is this absolutely glorious specimen

It was hot, sweet and flaky on the inside. It was pure deliciousness. The only downside is that I didn’t think DH would want to share this and he took one bite and instantly wanted more. So I had to share :sad2::snooty:

It was 12:30 and we were wanting to have lunch at the Tutto Gusto Wine Bar located in Italy so that’s where we headed. But it’s hard going straight there without some shopping detours in the UK Pavilion

So many years, DH had bought a replacement lotion in the shop attached to the Tea Caddy because he hated the smell of one of the lotions I had purchased on a past trip. Said I smelled like an old lady. :lmao: I like old lady smell! So he bought something we both liked called Fig and Cherry by Berkeley Square. Since I was running out, he promised he’d buy me one while at Epcot so when we walked in, no lotions to be found anywhere! So we asked one of the girls working and she said they no longer sold it as of only a few months prior! She was even able to describe the bottle I was talking about and she said it was the most popular scent. Now I can’t even find it online and I’m so bummed about it. Well because I was so sad, I needed candy. DH bought a few bars of this

And a few other goodies. As we were walking out, DM said, “Isn’t this what dad used to buy all the time?” I couldn’t believe it. They finally had Jaffa Cakes in the store! :hyper: If you don’t know about Jaffa Cakes, they are this delicious shortbread type cookie with a little bit of chocolate and an orange filling. So yummy! We ended up buying 5 boxes some for me, mom and DB. I thought I took a picture of it, but I posted this on my Instagram near the 8th anniversary of his passing :goodvibes

So we couldn’t just leave the UK Pavilion without some precious liquid in hand. I believe this is Boddingtons

As we were slowly making our way to Italy, we spotted a Photopass Photographer in Japan and you just have to stop if you see one in the World Showcase.

The photographer was very energetic and fun and started chanting, “Kiss, kiss, kiss!”

And then I told him as he was scanning my MB that that was awkward since he was my brother! :rotfl2::rotfl: He was mortified and I instantly told him I was joking and he started busting up. He was lots of fun!

Yay we made it!

DS was asleep in the stroller at this point so we were allowed to bring him in still sleeping. Love that they have this exception.

We were seated right away since it wasn’t busy. And really, I’ve never seen it busy before.

We knew we wanted to do a cheese and meat plate and also add s small pasta dish. With of course, a couple wine tastings.

We ended up doing a mix of 2 cheeses and 2 meats – Gorgonzola, La Tur, Prosciutto di Parma and Salametto

:cloud9:

Along with a plate of Pomodoro pasta

And two wine tastings. DM went with the Crisp Italian Whites

And DH and I shared the Under the Tuscan Sun flight

:cloud9:

The cheese and meat plate looks small but it really is very filling for three people. And with the pasta dish, we were very comfortable and even had a good amount to take with us for DS when he woke up. However, DM and I left room for something else that was on my To-Do List, thanks to the DIS.

Checking Off that To-Do List continued

After lunch, we went backwards and headed straight here.

Of course, DM had to make a stop in here.

But I’m not complaining now since she ended up buying me some mascara and eyeshadow as gifts later! :thumbsup2

DS ended up waking up so I fed him some of the pasta while DM shopped and DH did whatever DH’s do in France. Probably hid somewhere and played Candy Crush. :rotfl2:

When DS was finished with his food, I went in search of DH who was looking at the wines they were serving and ended up buying three glasses. Fine with me! He must have passed an ultra hard level on Candy Crush :hyper:

I pretty much downed my glass because I still needed my dessert. From L’Artisan Des Glaces!

Everyone kept telling me to try the Croque Glace (ice cream in a warm brioche) and because I have no will power and give into peer pressure pretty easily, I went with it. ::yes::

DH asked if he could get a sample of one of the flavors and she said that they couldn’t give out samples. Guess we’re not in Rite Aid anymore, DH :lmao:

Look at how ridiculous this is

I ordered it with raspberry sauce:earseek:

DM and DH both went with Coconut White Chocolate and they shared with DS

However, he was way more interested in what I was having. Duh kid, mom always chooses the good stuff. :thumbsup2

And to make this ice cream date even more special, we scored a table directly outside the shop, which is hard to do considering there’s only like 4 or 5 tables.

Once we finished our ice cream, we walked back to Japan since we had completely skipped it on our way to lunch. We made a stop inside the Mitsukoshi where my only picture I took was of this.

Because I thought these were jello shots :lmao:

I didn’t stay in there long because DS was getting a bit restless in the stroller so I took him outside to wander the garden area a bit

I took a second to really appreciate where I was at that moment with this shot. I just love Epcot.

I made him run stairs at one point to really wear himself out. And it really did work because after a while he wanted back in the stroller! ::yes::

After Japan, we did a quick walk-by of the Amercian Pavilion

And DH spotted his most favorite snack, the Jalapeno Pretzel!

We found ourselves back in Italy where DH and DM were in sedulous concentration over which candy to buy

:scratchin

That was the only stop we made in Italy because we were trying to stick to a schedule of: More booze, Test Track and dinner at Yachtsman Steakhouse at 6:15pm. It was 4:02. Were we going to make this schedule work? I sure as heck was going to try.

Speaking of booze, Mexico was our next place but DH wanted to stop inside one of the shops in Germany that sells soccer jerseys so we did that really quick. But DS started getting fussy so I threw a soccer ball at him. Well it was more like lightly tossed. And to make the whining stop, I ended up lessening the severeity of the situation by making him disappear

He got a ‘kick’ out of it. (Dang I’m good.) :rotfl2::cool:

:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo: you got a Cronut. Aren't they wonderful? I would have made DH go back and get me another one if he was taking bites of mine. :rotfl2:

Sorry they didn't have the lotion, but so glad you found the cakes your Dad liked.

Great photopass pics with DH....and shame on you giving that CM a hard time. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Lunch looks yummy.

Score on the make up from DM.

How was the ice cream? I've never eaten there. And mommy's ALWAYS get the better stuff.

:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao: with the soccer balls all over DS.

YAY! Another update! I was JUST posting in my PTR and I was like maaayyyyybbbeee Lesha has an update and BOOM! Right there! Everything you ate looks so so good. I can't wait to try the Crouque Glace. I am gonna finish it like a cheesecake ( Fat Amy is my fave) You are such a smart mama to have him run the stairs. Gotta wear those munchkins out! So excited to see if you make it to Yachtsman and get all of your drinking and riding in! Great update!

I knew it had to be a Cronut, but I just didn't want to say and give it away. Really. I promise. I swear I'm not lying. Why are you saying I'm lying? I really really really am serious and I really really really am not lying...

.. OK I'm lying.

Hmm, now that I think of it, I don't know if i've seen you have one in your TR's.

But as soon as I read that I figured it had to be a Cronut. No really I did!!!!

The only downside is that I didn’t think DH would want to share this and he took one bite and instantly wanted more. So I had to share :sad2::snooty:

You should have licked it! Although maybe that wouldn't have helped. :scratchin

It was 12:30 and we were wanting to have lunch at the Tutto Gusto Wine Bar located in Italy so that’s where we headed. But it’s hard going straight there without some shopping detours in the UK Pavilion

So what you're really saying is you skipped Canada entirely.

So we asked one of the girls working and she said they no longer sold it as of only a few months prior!

Which you have to take as gospel truth because... English accent. :thumbsup2

I thought I took a picture of it, but I posted this on my Instagram near the 8th anniversary of his passing :goodvibes

That really is beautiful Alicia. What a lovely tribute. :flower3:

And then I told him as he was scanning my MB that that was awkward since he was my brother! :rotfl2::rotfl: He was mortified and I instantly told him I was joking and he started busting up. He was lots of fun!

OMG :rotfl2:, I was actually thinking how awkward it is when they ask that and you're not a couple. OMG that's hysterical.

I took a second to really appreciate where I was at that moment with this shot. I just love Epcot.

I know what you mean. This is the park where going slow is encouraged. :goodvibes

Great updates! I got a little behind. I can't believe your DS did his, ah, "business" again in line for LWTL! LOL!

I can't believe you DH was playing Candy Crush in the parks! That's nuts.

Mmmmmmm........Cronut. I have to try one of those this year for sure!

You got a lot done in WS. Love that you told the PP that DH was your brother. I would have loved to see his face when you said that!

Uh hello desert in the Summer

Bobby and I went to Vegas at the end of June and it was 100 degrees when we landed at midnight. It was sort of crazy. BUT it really is a dry heat, and I thought it was totally bearable. Bobby was more uncomfortable than I was but I would say it is nowhere near as bad as WDW in the summer :sunny:

:rotfl::rotfl2: I died at your Gumdrop comment! And you're so right it's the first time we agreed on a drink! That choice made us upgrade from friends to best friends now! :hyper:

We've been planning a road trip up to Seattle that will take place in June and are so excited!

The trip sounds awesome!

Otherwise, the halfway mark is Seven Feathers Resort and Casino. Wow, how convenient. DH did a good job planning this :rotfl:

:rotfl2:

Now why in the world would I skip all the marvelous beverages (TEQUILA!) that Mexico has to offer and walk further from there.

So much for our being in sync with the drinks :sad2:

And I have to give props to @heathsf for figuring out where I was headed! :cool1:

Yay! Props for me!!!

Wow, this looks so good! I meant to have one in August but didn't. I've the ones at Dunkin Donuts a few times and they're good but I bet this is 1,000 times better!

And a few other goodies. As we were walking out, DM said, “Isn’t this what dad used to buy all the time?” I couldn’t believe it. They finally had Jaffa Cakes in the store! :hyper:

I'm glad you got to have a meaningful, nostalgic moment with your family over that memory :goodvibes

And then I told him as he was scanning my MB that that was awkward since he was my brother! :rotfl2::rotfl: He was mortified and I instantly told him I was joking and he started busting up. He was lots of fun!

:earseek::rotfl:

DS was asleep in the stroller at this point so we were allowed to bring him in still sleeping. Love that they have this exception.

I didn't know that! Good tip!

However, he was way more interested in what I was having. Duh kid, mom always chooses the good stuff. :thumbsup2

Wait, what flavor did you have? I've scrolled up and down three times and didn't see what you picked. Am I missing it? Whatever it is, it does look amazing in that bun though.

He got a ‘kick’ out of it. (Dang I’m good.) :rotfl2::cool:

:lmao:

Wow, that's a lot of good eatin' at Epcot!! That ice cream sandwich thing you had looked divine! I'm curious about the profiterole ice cream...hmmmm. Also...crooonutttt...want one!!! Your DS seemed to have done pretty well with all that WS walking and eating considering...I hope my DD (9) does that well when we go to Epcot lol...because I will want to spend some time there!!!

I like your schedule! Anything that starts with booze and ends with Yachtsman is fine with me! Love the soccer balls hiding Calvin. ;)

I have seen this Cronut pop up on many TR’s and heard great things about it so I knew I had to have it now!
How have I not had one of those yet?

And how did I not guess that was where you were headed?

The only downside is that I didn’t think DH would want to share this and he took one bite and instantly wanted more. So I had to share
No. For marital bliss there should be a one bite rule. If you want anymore go buy another one.

DH bought a few bars of this
That stinks. No pun intended. Of course they stopped carrying the lotion you always get. Candy is a nice consolation prize, but I'd probably go for a beer instead.

And a few other goodies. As we were walking out, DM said, “Isn’t this what dad used to buy all the time?” I couldn’t believe it. They finally had Jaffa Cakes in the store!
I'm glad they had them. That's kind of a nice story/tribute to the memory of your dad. I'm sure you enjoyed them.

So we couldn’t just leave the UK Pavilion without some precious liquid in hand. I believe this is Boddingtons
Ok, that's better. I was starting to worry about you.

And then I told him as he was scanning my MB that that was awkward since he was my brother! :rotfl2::rotfl: He was mortified and I instantly told him I was joking and he started busting up. He was lots of fun!
:rotfl2::rotfl::lmao::rotfl2::rotfl::lmao: That is hilarious.

DS was asleep in the stroller at this point so we were allowed to bring him in still sleeping. Love that they have this exception.
Never been in there. I'd like to check it out sometime. I just always get sucked in by the gravitational pull of Via Napoli any time I enter the Italy pavilion though. It's nice when they make an exception for the sleeping kid in the stroller so that the parents can enjoy a quiet meal.

Probably hid somewhere and played Candy Crush. :rotfl2:
:rotfl: I was going to guess it was time for a slush. But I guess that works too.

Everyone kept telling me to try the Croque Glace (ice cream in a warm brioche) and because I have no will power and give into peer pressure pretty easily, I went with it.
Works for me. Sounds like it would be good!

DH asked if he could get a sample of one of the flavors and she said that they couldn’t give out samples. Guess we’re not in Rite Aid anymore, DH :lmao:
:rotfl2: No... but for prices like that they should at least offer 1 or 2 samples so you can make sure you like it.

Look at how ridiculous this is

Um... where's the ice cream?

Whew... there it is. Ok, that does look good.

However, he was way more interested in what I was having. Duh kid, mom always chooses the good stuff. :thumbsup2
:thumbsup2

Because I thought these were jello shots :lmao:
:rotfl2:

That was the only stop we made in Italy because we were trying to stick to a schedule of: More booze, Test Track and dinner at Yachtsman Steakhouse
Booze. Fast cars. Steak.

Yep, I'm sold. Let's go!

But DS started getting fussy so I threw a soccer ball at him.

Well it was more like lightly tossed.
Well, that's probably better. But I was totally picturing something similar to that gif when you mentioned it.

He got a ‘kick’ out of it. (Dang I’m good.) :rotfl2::cool:
:sad2: It's so bad that it really is kind of funny. :rotfl2:
