there is a ton of pages in this thread, can someone point me to the place i can find out what this UOC is and how I can get one for myself or a family member? is there a way to get one?

All that's required to be eligible is an account with any Disney website. Disneyworld.com, Disneystore.com, ESPN.com... they are sent out randomly, and only good for the family/household address they are sent to. They come via email and snail mail from Disney Destinations.

I've gotten a pin code for just about every season this year.. I'm sure I'll be hearing crickets next year when I'm actually taking my Disney vacation..

We get one evry season too..but not today. lol hopefully it will come!

Where the dole whips used to be. In Adventureland. I think its the building on the backside of Liberty Tree Tavern. I heard part of the reason they did the reno on LTT is to expand and improve the kitchen to share with the new restaurant.

We've been able to book online with PINs and UOCs. The link typically takes you to a screen where you enter your last name and zip code for verification before going to the booking area.

I've never been able to do that because we have never gotten one in e-mail. Ours have always been snail mail.

I know they have a RO offer for dates up to 10/3, but will they likely release one for the remainder of the year or will it probably only be offered through UOC's?

In 2013 I booked a "magical" deal using my disney visa for the $200 deposit. Unfortunately we had to cancel, but the initial payment did qualify for the 6 months free financing according to my cc statement. I think it depends on the offer and how it appears on the statement not necessarily if you book directly thru Disney or not. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

Me either, availability for BOG lunch but its the dinner I need that week - its my daughters birthday so I am checking constantly to see if anything becomes available. That was the only rez I really wanted and I didn't get it.

Oh magic pixie dust please come my way so I can stop obsessing about if I made the right decision to stay at POR instead of FD at Pop.
I don't time to call to see if I have a UOC and I don't usually get one until after other deals have come out. And I got one for summer this year so I truly hope I get one for Fall. I don't think I can stand waiting until July.

I was looking at the resort map and noticed that a few resorts are very close to Epcot. Is there any advantage (shorter bus ride) by staying at one of the resorts near Epcot....also because you can jump on the monorail to MK?

I received the UOC today and checked it out just to see what I'd find for a family of 6 and was really surprised to see how limited it was as well - no rooms available at either SSR or OKW for the code. They were available regular price however.

For those of you that have transferred your vacation to a travel agent (after you have already booked), what happens then? Are you still in control of magic bands, dining ressies and fp+ stuff? I don't like to relinquish my control. LOL

I received a RO pin code/UOC when I called Disney last night. Unfortunately, we couldn't use it on either part of our split stay. POR didn't have any availability and it could only be used on Lagoon View rooms at the POLY. We got lucky today and were able to get POP with FD! I'm still hoping something will open up and we can switch back to POR....but I'm just glad we were able to get FD!

My TA just books the room package, emails me the confirmation and then collects the balance of my payment when due. I do the flight, all my ADRs, FP+ and have complete control of this including magic band through MDE. My TA simply gives me my reservation # and then I log onto MDE, type in the reserv# and off to the races. I suppose a few TA's may do some of these things for you if you asked (my TA explained that she has a few clients who want her to make their ADRs online) but most TAs would be relieved to simply book, get their commission then hand the extra work to you. I change my ADRs up often so I am happy with this arrangement.

Thanks for the info! Just out of curiosity, if Travel agencies don't charge us how do they pay commission? If they aren't making anything on the reservation (same price as Disney), I'm just curious where the commission comes from. Thanks again!

I'm booked with a TA, but did all of my ADRs and I am doing my FPs. The TA will do all of my payments and that's it.
