Poolrat and GoofyFan's Great Adventure- Wilderness in August edition- 8/15 Last day REALLY !!!!!

We could see the EWP through the trees - kind of, sort of - we could see the colors but not quite make out the actual barge..we could certainly hear it loud and clear ...and while hearing it clearly and so close was wonderful, it made me want to push those trees apart for a good view. The corner studio we had was a fabulous location, down the hall from the elevator but not close enough to hear anything (sounds of guests doesn't bother me anyway)...and a window on the side wall facing the pool, and of course we had the balcony. We had a great view of Wishes over the Lodge. It really was a great studio! I'd be thrilled if I was ever assigned that room again. Although I like the Vilas much better than the Lodge, I am often tempted to book a Courtyard View and request view of EWP - it is the most affordable lake and EWP view on Disney property. Would have to go during a very off season in hopes of the request being honored....no problem! :thumbsup2

I don't know, Pat....quite a list if things in common - Disney Bathrooms, resorts for clean guests, a certain FOTLK Monkey, EWP and the never to arrive text notification of the room being ready. Does this make us Disney Fans separated at birth? :rotfl2:

When will the new car arrive? :cheer2:

I can't believe the places Marv can snooze!

I just wish they would have told me right away instead of saying it could be fixed and then almost 2 weeks later throwing the curve ball of totaling it.

Totally understand! After they are TOTALLY sure it is the least loss to them (and the most inconvenience to you) they will let you know. My daughter was in a small fender bender a few months ago, and it took literally almost 3 months to finally get the damage fixed and re-imbursed. What a joke.

Just catching up and reading about your accident. Very scary!! I am so glad you're ok, but sorry to hear your car was written off.

Loving your Epcot morning, never noticed the hidden Mickey on Soarin' before! That's cool!

Sorry for the almost month delay but a trip and then ensuing craziness of getting back to work, then That Thursday a car accident, and the drama that goes on with that, followed by a Swim League meet over the weekend which I am the secretary of the league and manager on duty plus the next week of normal craziness. Finally a day off Friday to catch up at home ( and the DIS) so I feel I can move forward a bit.

I feel the same! Granted, I am writing this 2 weeks after this update but I am finally done with my spring work travel and am home until our spring break trip. It's busy for sure but at least "normal" life busy. But UGH on the car accident

Had to take a picture as a shout out to Cynthia and Mary-Ellen.

Makes me laugh, every time!

There is someone is the command center.

Not used to seeing someone there! Is that normal or am I just (as often is the case) rather unobservant?

We ducked into Mouse Gears right as it began to pour. Is that US 3 RAIN 0 ?

Walls walls, everywhere walls. And puddles

I like the score so far....

I did bring it up so I will expand on that now that things have calmed down a bit. I was leaving a work meeting Thursday March 5, and on the way back to my facility during rush hour in the rain. I got hit broadside in the driver's side as I was making a left. There were two lanes and one stopped and I could see no one but obviously a car was there and/or coming too quickly to see me.

Lots of damage to my car but insurance deemed it repairable. I have a rental for now that well...isn't my car. Since I was on "work time" it is always requested I go get checked out but I am fine. I am thankful for good car insurance and that whole process has been wonderful and easy.

I really think the last car vs. car accident I was in was in college. Looooong time ago and that guy ran a red light but only clipped me.

My side airbags deployed and looking where the impact was and my seat and center bar between my doors all that really saved me.

All in all not an experience I ever want to do again but I had the best possible outcome and no one was hurt. The driver of the other car was out and walking around right after as well.

Car situation resolved now? Never fun being in a rental, I had one for a week a couple of months ago (neighbor hit my parked car) and I couldn't wait to get mine back. I am so glad no one was hurt but thank goodness for airbags!

I couldn't do your schedule. Long meet weekend so 38 hours in 3 days. :faint: Plus day on either side of that and I am just tired....still. A nice 4 day weekend, Thursday for the weekend work, holiday on Friday and then a regular weekend off.

Car situation is resolved.... keep reading.

Makes me laugh, every time!

Me too!!!

I MAY have seen someone in there ONE other time. I don't think it is a regualr occurance but I have no idea why someone would be in there.

I like the score so far....

We were on the roll.

The car ended up being total so I have a new car. :car: I need to get the pictures off my phone. I should have some time this weekend, I hope. :flower3:

Making my way over to pop in and say boo! Things are about to get busy for me, so trying to get all caught up before that happens. :)

So sorry that I am just now catching up with your car accident news. Thank heavens for the best possible outcome! I'm sure that you were still shaking days afterward. Glad you're okay.

Hope your test went well.

Hey No worries, I can't even keep up. :rotfl2: I keep waiting for things to let up for so far that's not happening.

As for the accident it stinks but all is good now. I probably annoy more people behind while I wait longer for a really big gap that is clear. Nearly threw the car in park today to talk to the guy behind me who thought I could make a turn when I could not see at all to make said turn. I was going to explain to him exactly how the accident happened and the resulting angst from it. But them I got a clear shot and took it.

:flower1:Happy Passover or a Joyous Easter!! :flower1:

Happy Easter Christine- and /or Joyous Passover. :goodvibes

So diplomatic! :thumbsup2 Happy Passover and/or Joyous Easter to you too Christine!

Thank you, Pat!! :cool1:

Marv says your welcome....
