Our l-o-n-g weekend is done. Sleeping late in the morning! We spent the day on the beautiful University of Houston campus...DD is a 2000 graduate and she really enjoyed being back on campus:

The COUGAR mascot:

DGD's tap group placed 8th (out of 25 groups) and are making a trip to Nationals :

The lyrical ballet group placed 6TH ... and earned a trip to Nationals :

Good but long day...and we finished it off with a Bennigan's Monti Cristo!

Busy but fun day. Congrats on the trip to nationals. Is it being held at Disney

And Bennigan's has Monti Cristo!!!!! It has been well over 20 years since I have been to one of their restarants. Guess I will have to head back now and play Disney music while I have dinner

Looks like you had a fun weekend. Especially the Monte Cristo. Going to the Orleans Cafe in Disneyland is on my Must Do list!!!

YES...at least the one in Katy, Texas does! This restaurant has been closed for about 2 years and just recently reopened. As we were having a quick lunch on the U of H campus today DD asked if I'd like to stop at Bennigan's for dinner on the way home. My intention was to order the Baked Potato Soup but when I saw that entry on the menu I quickly changed my mind! Thanks on the nationals but, sad to say, not at Disney...in the great state of TEXAS this year!

Are you kidding? Diane you have had one bad winter.

I am back working a lot at the drag strip and spent the weekend out there. Most everyone was as red as a lobster. I was even using sun screen and I am toasted.
