Wine and Dine 2015

I ran my first half last sunday in 2:09:46.... although the bad weather (windy and rainy) I'm so happy of my first PB!!!!

Now on with training for next in may and to be ready for the W&D and the Avengers weekend in november.
Congrats on finishing your first half! I'm sure crossing that finish line was an even better feeling with the bad weather.

The picture on the bench is too much! It just makes me smile!

I have three kids, but the revelers don't bother me at all. Normally I just find them funny! ;) One trip, I think 2012, there was the funniest drunk guy in line for Mission Space with us! While I was thankful he wasn't in our ride vehicle/spaceship/whatever you call it, he was very entertaining in line to both myself and my 12 year old! But we're a Marine family so maybe we're just used to inappropriate, disorderly people! ;)

I am not sure I could drink around the world, unless I did it over a few days. I don't think I could even do a flight of tequila, but a good margarita…yes!

Congratulations!! Awesome time!

Drinking Around the World is my most favorite thing to do at WDW - the husband likes it because he can try a bunch of "unique" beers to check-in on his Untapped app.

I always buy one of those kids Passports and write down what drinks I have in each country and how I rate them. If I'm feeling exceptionally silly, I have the bartender sign the Passport. :D

I'm so excited for F&W Fest. Husband and I would go every off weekend when we lived in Orlando, and this will be our first time since we moved away in 2003. Extra bonus - I'll be an Annual Passholder this time!

Love it too :) it's much harder to pull off for F&W (and more expensive!)

Love those celebration photos! After finishing the TOT run last year, I happily took my brother's beer from his hands ... It tasted SO GOOD!

Awesome! I was just to your right - sitting on the curb, dying. haha. I had all sorts of IT and knee issues hit me just the week before but I did the race anyways. I finished still with like a 13/pace but I pretty much drug my leg like Frankenstein for half of it...so I def enjoyed a cocktail too :)

That is kind of where I'm at. I've seen funny, but never anything offensive. Though during PHM week we left EP on a bus to AKL at the end of the night and a guy got on alone, and looked like he fell asleep leaning against one of the humps. I didn't think much of it until halfway down Osceola he JUMPS up and the motion promptly threw (really, he levitated) him back where he went head first into the metal door pole for the back door. Everyone tried to help him and he finally passed out in a seat again...but man. Assuming he could even find his room that night, that was going to be a rough morning! He was beyond drunk and into blackout, but even then he wasn't rude or anything (just apparently clumsy lol).

For my bday drink around we started with margaritas (go inside Mexico and get a passion fruit one from the ordering window!! My fave margarita. ever.) and then when we hit Morocco we started sharing haha. But we did it! Though no flights, just drinks.

This. I'd die if I tried that. haha. Unless all I had were tiny wine or beer samples, but even then!

You guys are getting me so excited for F&W! I saw the Disney food blog posted a couple of the Oct. musical acts. Maybe this year I will finally get to see Hanson...or Sugar Ray again. They were amazing live.

Can someone help me with math? I seriously cannot get my head around this today (and I have an accounting degree and work in a purchasing office!)! If I want to do a 15:00mm and run/walk 60/30 intervals, what speeds do I set the treadmill at? I'm tired of trying to figure it out and figured someone on here might be having better brain functions than me today, lol! :)

Maybe try this Runner's World Pace Calculator. No reason to re-invent the wheel if somebody's done the work for you! ::yes::

D'oh... I just skimmed the post and only see on my second read that you were asking about treadmill speeds. Still a little more work to be done, or more info needed about your running/walking speeds to figure it out I think.

Looks like they opened up the Finish Line Party link on the Registration page to purchase tickets today. I thought it was going to open on 3/31/15 but was surprised to see them available today. Ordered mine!

Thanks for the heads up. Snagged mine for my parents. They better not complain about being tired!

Yeah, it was a little more work, but I think I figured it out. :)

Got my wife's ticket ordered. Thank you!!

Thank you for letting us know. Just ordered two for DH and DD! One less thing to think about now. lol

Thanks for the heads up! I got my parents tickets purchased so now I don't have to worry about them having a spot to party with us after the race :thumbsup2

Went yesterday to get fitted for custom inserts. Need to get new running shoes so I can get back to training, but figured this was the first step. Also got in the Peachtree RR for my PoT. Not the best race for it...too crowded and hilly, but everything local is way to soon for me to be ready. Figure if it moves me from the back up a corral or two then I am good.

Have got to get back to it. So tired of being a slug. Disney races are the best incentive!

All this drinking around the world talk has made me so excited for my first trip to Epcot... it sounds like there are a lot of options for delicious adult beverages. Does anyone have any specific favorites I should check out?

For what it's worth, we're a bit beer snobby ( :drinking1love the random microbrews and trying something new!) but also can appreciate a fruity mixed cocktail.

I just want to give a HUGE shout-out to @Michigan Belle. She PM'd me yesterday that there was charity registration available through Pitching In For Kids. Thanks to her, I'm going to Wine and Dine!!!! I'm so freaking excited. Now I just need to wait until April when they get everyone's fundraising pages up.

I need to get my butt in gear with training. I've done the Princess and the DL, but I'll admit I was pretty lax on training. I did the DL half with 2 feet aching of plantar fascitis, and a freshly broken toe. Here's a pro tip: don't do that.:rotfl2: My feet hurt so freaking much. I ended up not even going to the park that day. I ordered room service and used my desk chair like a wheelchair to get myself to the bathroom.:rotfl:

@ChicoChico I love the Welsh Dragon at Rose
& Crown in the UK, a refreshing odd combination of Midori, Peach Shnapps and Creme de Menthe shaken with pineapple and OJ. The barkeep, Gavin, taught me well. Mixed up a great one just yesterday.

Love the Red Stag Lemonade with Jim Bean Bourbon at AA Fife and Drum, perfect while watching a concert.

I admit, I give a whole new meaning to being a lightweight. Like a 1/2 teaspoon of rum in coke, lightweight. My husband could use a few beer buddies at Epcot, he likes good dark beer. I think he will enjoy the grapefruit beer at W&D.
