I really think they need to come out with something guys are likely to use like the backpacks they use for Alaska and the Med.

Just back last Sunday from a 4 nighter on The Wonder. The platinum gift was the same beach bag like the above post, but the straps are now sewn on the bag (much sturdier) and a photo album. My son and his girlfriend are still silver they received the beach bag also with the sewn in straps and the dry erase board.

just off the magic last week and we got the silver bag with the sewn in straps not the rope bag like the one we got in november. However i am very happy with the quality of both. i was carrying a ton of weight (all booze LOL) in the rope handled bag and no problem. Oh my aching shoulder.
in Nov we got the bag, dry erase board and highlighter but this time the bag only...but i did see dry erase board on other doors but never got around to asking it they brought it from home from a previous cruise or were we missing the one that should have been with our bag???

On our January 10 Fantasy cruise, we got the gold bag with rope handles, magnetic dry erase and marker and a DCL umbrella. We didn't get the game tin.

I was really hoping to get the umbrella this time, but we got a photo album instead.

The photo album must be new. We went in Dec and got the gold bag and umbrella. The umbrella is nice but very light one good wind storm and I think it is a goner.

March 7th Fantasy we got the same beach bag as in my photos above but with the sewn on handles (no grommets) and the photo album.

As soon as you've completed one DCL cruise, you are a Castaway Club member, Silver level.

There is a basic gift for all CC members everytime they take a cruise. Currently it seems to be the bag that comes in different colors signifying CC level plus a note board for leaving messages. There is one gift per room.

Once you have completed 5 DCL cruises you are Gold. You will receive the basic gift plus additional gift(s). And once you've completed 10 DCL cruises you are Platinum. At that time on subsequent cruises you will receive the basic gift, the gold level gift(s), and additional Platinum level gift(s).

Does that mean you become gold on your 5th cruise or on your 6th after the 5th cruise?

Once you've completed your fifth cruise, you become Gold. So you won't get the Gold gift until your 6th cruise.

Once you've completed your 10th cruise, you become Platinum.

Yep, once you are off the ship from your 5th cruise you turn Gold. Once you are off the ship from your 10th cruise you are Platinum. Some people who do B2B cruises can be gold on the first cruise of the B2B (their tenth cruise) and Platinum on the second cruise of the B2B (their eleventh cruise). Same could happen with going from Silver to Gold on a B2B. First cruise of a B2B would be their fifth and the second cruise of the B2B would be their sixth.

We got them when we checked in for the cruise in September. As far as I know they still are giving them out. I noticed they were a softer material this last cruise. It felt nice around my neck.

You will get Silver laynards at check in. Anyone on their 2nd or subsequent cruise gets a lanyard at check in.

So just to clarify... my husband is Silver. This is my first DCL cruise. He had thought the lanyards came with the stateroom gift and there would be two of them since there will be two of us in the room. If they are handed out at check-in, will we both get one (as the room is Silver based on his level)? Or is that an individual based item?
