It's funny because last year when free dining was available to the public, Oct 3rd was the cut off day. I already had a reservation and i tried to call in to get the free dining added to my reservation and of course the phones were all tied up. I had to go to work, and by the time i got there free dining wasnt available for Oct. 3rd any more at the resort I was staying at or any of the others in my budget. So I noticed It was available for the previous day so booked a new reservation for one extra night. So after the mayhem subsided (about 2 days) I called and canceled my other reservation. My wife could not leave the day earlier so I asked Disney what happened if i showed up the next day of check in. They told me it would be considered a no-show and the reservation would be canceled.. I told them that i guess I would have to come down a day earlier then the rest of my family and check in and they changed my reservation back to the original day even though free dining was no longer available that day...
