how many rooms where left...getting down to a 7th month window and looking at a 2 bed room at VWL with AKL as a back up right now my days are open but just wish i knew how many rooms were open!
NO NO NO NO NO!!!!!!!!!!Send an email to Member Satisfaction. Perhaps if enough people request that enhancement, it will happen.
It would be nice to know how many are left.
I don't think that it will happen. MS won't even tell you how many rooms are left when you call in.
Bill
I've had an MS rep tell me how many rooms were available.
I have been told for years that they are not supposed to tell you specifics about available inventory. If they tell you that there is plenty of availability and you call back and everything's gone, they would have a argument on their hands.
Bill
Does it matter? Because if you don't know how many people will be fighting for those rooms, you have no idea what your chances will be. 1 room left with 2 people going for it is going to be easier than 10 rooms with 50+ trying for it.
Well, maybe they aren't supposed to tell you - but I've asked before and they've even told me an exact number. Had it happen more than once too.
I must be nicer than you.
I agree, I see no benefit in it. Also even if you know until you are ready to book it does not matter.
Nah, I use the stoplight chart method described above for planning when to pull the trigger on any reservation in my other points system. (Think, "Do I need to walk this?")The only time it would be beneficial is if a member is booking multiple rooms at the same resort.
Yes, but all that information does is help mitigate the home-resort advantage. Disney hasn't historically given any insight into availabliity beyond your own home resort. Again, I'll say that the fact that the RAT showed non-home resort availability is a bug or lazy programming. Any request or attempt to gain an advantage that traditionally is limited to owning a particular resort would be ignored or used to make the RAT less useful.Nah, I use the stoplight chart method described above for planning when to pull the trigger on any reservation in my other points system. It might also help the DVC owner decide between unit sizes. "I can book the 1BR now but the Studio isn't available for all nights. What do I do? How slim is that Studio inventory? Is it worth waitlisting the missing Studio nights or should I book the 1BR and call it quits?"
