How Many Times Did I Meet Pluto This Trip? A Dec Solo TR - New TR Link 11/30!

Sorry you didn't feel well this morning and couldn't get in all those EE trips you wanted to :( Love the photos of you in front of the Tree of Life!

Bummer about not feeling good on EE :( That's the worst!! At least it didn't ruin you for the day!! I feel the same way about taking pictures while riding it! I always think it would be great to get one of Disco Yeti or the part where the tracks are all bent right before you go backwards, but I'm too nervous my camera will go flying and I'll be a hysterical mess!

Sorry you weren't feeling well enough to get more than your two rides on EE. That's two more than you would catch me doing (and from now I'm going to say I don't feel well when someone asks me to go on it instead of letting them know I am a coward :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:).

I love seeing all of the animals at the AK in all the little spots. Wow Dinoland is empty.

Oh wow, that is a good collection of cobwebs. I think this is why I try not to look too closely at my surroundings, lol.

I have to give credit that the PP photog did a nice job of hiding the construction walls with the Tree of Life. The Everest Walls are probably the ones that bothered me the most.

Oh there is nothing worse than riding something you really love and then feeling sick. That's too bad. :(

All caught up, I love ittttttt!
Omg that Stitch is too cuteeeee, he looks so fluffy :) I can only do EE twice in a row before I feel queasy...which is more than enough for me :) Ive never been to a morning EMH at AK but Ive always wanted tooooooooo!

That is one dirty cob webby sprinkler!

EMH are just the best great way to take advantage of low lines. That does suck that you didn't feel well after EE tho.

I love all the hidden animal places in AK.

the cob web sprinkler? that alone is a fire hazard isn't it?!?! :rotfl:

Oh no! Too many sweets! sorry you were feeling up to par! well you were able to do 2 rides without.. well ya know...

Rolaids... I live on Rolaids in Disney. :thumbsup2 i really do... HA HA HA HA Chicken with the camera!!! That's a riot. I have the best straps i can have so i am not worried about dropping. you should see the angles and the heights i put my poor camera's in... :scared1: I AM surprised you don't have a strap!

Just thought that I'd let you know that I'm still around. As you know, the new Dis is driving me nutso with the no notification thing. Anyway, I'm caught up again. So sorry to hear that you weren't feeling so great and only got two rides in on EE.

Sorry you weren't feeling the best today. That's a lot of cobweb on that sprinkler! Did you go tell someone about it?

Nice ride pictures of you on EE.
That sure is a lot of construction wall at AK.

I had a little catching up to do... my alerts don't seem to be very consistent. :confused3

Wow, the view from your table at the dessert party was just amazing! Sorry though that the cost didn't end up being worth it. I was glad that you went for the s'more one though... that would have been my first pick! :thumbsup2

I loved the peek inside your head during your IC and RA conversation... and glad the IC won out! Your Stitch is just too cute! :goodvibes

Ugh, sorry your second go-round on EE wasn't so pleasant. :faint: I battle that feeling often on EE... so usually just one ride on that will do me each trip! :sad2:

It's OK, I'm so used to feeling sick that it almost doesn't bother me anymore. And I usually do it to myself by eating stuff I'm not supposed to so I only have myself to blame! Thanks, I think those photos turned out cute.

Nah, I never let feeling sick stop me from having fun! Definitely paid too much for my current camera to damage or loss it!

That could definitely work! That backwards part almost always does a number on my stomach. There are so many little hidden spots with animals in AK. I try to seek them out all the time and I still don't think I've found them all.

Oh wow, that is a good collection of cobwebs. I think this is why I try not to look too closely at my surroundings, lol.

I probably wouldn't have noticed the cobwebs but I could see them in the mirror in the bathroom. I hate that you can't see the temple right now or get photos there! I really hate my motion sickness. So many rides that I can't do like I used to.

All caught up, I love ittttttt!

I've gotten three in a row in one time before starting to feel sick but that's my max. I swear my motion sickness gets worse the older I get! Morning EMHs were a lot of fun and I really did not feel that the park was more crowded the rest of the day.

That is one dirty cob webby sprinkler!

EMH are just the best great way to take advantage of low lines. That does suck that you didn't feel well after EE tho.

It was pretty nasty with all those cobwebs! This was my first time trying morning EMHs at AK and I loved it! Well, other than feeling sick but that's nothing new for me.

Didn't think about the fire hazard on the sprinklers! Rolaids don't really help in this situation. About the only thing that does is a soda or just staying off certain rides for a while! Do they even make straps for point and shoots? I don't recall having a place to attach one on my little camera.

Oh and speaking of point and shoots, Mom is going to France with her sister in July. She doesn't own a camera right now and wants to get an inexpensive, lightweight point and shoot. I don't think she wants to spend more than $100 - $150. Does something like that even exist? Any recommendations?

No worries, I know this new DIS has everyone thrown for a loop right now. Glad you got caught up. I'm used to feeling sick as I've dealt with it for years so it's usually not a big deal!

Sorry you weren't feeling the best today. That's a lot of cobweb on that sprinkler! Did you go tell someone about it?

Nice ride pictures of you on EE.

No, I never did tell anyone about the cobwebs. I meant to but kept forgetting. Yeah, AK is a bit of a mess right now but I can't wait to see the finished product.

I had a little catching up to do... my alerts don't seem to be very consistent. :confused3

I've never been able to rely on the alerts on this site for some reason. I just use the Watched Threads button and check every once in a while for updates.

It was a pretty good view but it was a bit expensive for everything I got. I did like the s'more cup although I picked off the marshmallows because I don't like those.

Stitch is pretty cute, isn't he?

I always battle between my desire to ride multiple times and my motion sickness issues. If I could, I'd probably have ridden EE over and over till the line got too long.

Dinosaur and Festival Time! Part 1

Dinosaur was next on my agenda so I headed that way. Luckily this ride does not bother my stomach at all so I wasn’t worried about getting queasy again.

As you can sort of see in this picture, there was no line at all.

And the ride photo. At least the big Dinosaur was working this trip and everyone was looking in the right direction.

After the ride, it was time to do some shopping. I have 12 kids that I buy Christmas gifts for. Most of them are my Cousin’s kids with a couple of friends kids thrown in. My family are all Disney fans so doing some of my Christmas shopping at Disney was a no brainer. One of the little boys who is three is a huge dinosaur fan. I really wanted to get him one of the squishy dinosaurs they have in those shops but they are pretty big. I already had my Mom’s purse and my Stitch stuffie to get home so I didn’t think I would have room for one of the big Dinosaurs. Plus he lives in Chicago so shipping would have been interesting. Then I saw the hand puppets and knew they would be perfect. I got this one.

And here he is on my hand.

To go with it, I found a matching shirt. I did struggle a bit with sizes because the Moms had given me “T” sizes and all of the Disney sizes were S, M, L. But I figured it out eventually and got him a size bigger since he wouldn’t be able to wear it till spring.

I heard that the puppet was a huge success. This same little boy has decided now that he is a big Goofy fan and wants a Goofy blanket for his birthday in July. I figured that would be easy to find but so far I’ve not had any luck. Anyone seen a Goofy blanket lately?

Shopping took me a bit of time and now EMHs were over. I had fun (other than feeling a little sick) and would definitely do them again at AK. I had my package sent back to the resort and started back around the park towards Africa. I had sorely missed FOLK while it was closed so catching the first show of the day at 10 am was a must do for me.

Construction on the new nighttime show was well underway.

I went around the long way through Asia because I wanted to scope out the meet and greet area for Baloo and King Louie. I found it pretty much right across from the entrance to Flights of Wonder. I planned to come back later in the day to meet them.

A few pictures of the tree on the side without construction walls.

I stopped at the fruit stand right outside the entrance to the Safari because I thought I might get a little snack to help settle my stomach. But the line was super long and I didn’t want to be too late getting in line for FOLK. I moved on and got in the Standby line at about 9:30 am. Here’s where I ended up sitting when they let us in.

I have a great love for FOLK, it’s my favorite show in all of WDW. I had not seen it for over a year so I was very excited to experience it again. And of course I took lots of pictures!

Dinosaur and Festival Time! Part 2

Continued from Previous Post

This next one is blurry but I thought it was kind of cool so I’m going to include it.

The Tumble Monkeys are my favorite part of my favorite show.

Fire guy is not easy to get pictures of because it’s pretty dark when he is on.

Even harder to get good pictures of is the birds. They move around so much that my pictures are always blurry.

Back to my obsession with the Monkeys. This particular one was hilarious.

And a few last blurry pictures of the finale.

Up Next: Where are the Pretty Fish?

Dinosaur is a favorite of mine. I still remember my first time on it when I was six, I wouldn't open my eyes the entire time.

FOTLK is also my favorite show in all of WDW. I really love the new area the theater is in they did a great job on that.

I am really looking forward to the nighttime AK show. I'm just hoping it has some resemblance to World Of Colour in California Adventue. WDW needs something like that.

I am in love with the new FotLK Theatre. Ha, looks like Tumble Monkey posed just for you. :goodvibes

I don't think she wants to spend more than $100 - $150. Does something like that even exist? Any recommendations?

try the nikon coolpix they are great P&S!

love the FOLK show too! you did a great job what no pose on the dino ride??? glad the little boy loved the puppet! good find!

I must join in on this report, too!

I look forward to giving FOTLK another shot on my upcoming trip. We saw it back in 2012 and weren't blown over - I think the fact that it was late in the day and we were pretty tired played into that opinion. I am excited to see the new location! :-) (And perhaps I just need to pay more attention to the monkeys - that one monkey, in particular, looks like a hoot! )

I'm glad your day at AK improved after your queasy start!

Sounds like a great morning at AK (despite your stomach :sad2:)! I LOVE Dinosaur and am thankful that it also doesn't affect my stomach :thumbsup2 I could just stay on that ride all day!

I'm so excited to get into the new FOTLK theater - your pictures are great!

Awesome gifts, too! That dinosaur puppet is awesome, as is the t-shirt! :thumbsup2

Great update. I'm glad you got on Dinosaur and the big guy was working this time. Love the puppet you got for the little boy.

So Baloo and Louie are across from Flights of Wonder? That must be why I always miss them because we just speed walk past that area since we dont' do Flights of Wonder.

Great pictures of the Tree of Life. I can't wait until all those walls are down.

And terrific pictures of Festival of the Lion King. I was so happy to be able to see it again in September.
