I can't wait any longer! ~UPDATE 5/25 I'm back!

Love the Disneybound pictures! So, you motivated me to finish up my April 2014 TR and I started my November 2015 PTR! :) Seems so far away, but reports like yours help!

Thanks! It's so much fun doing something Disney for work! Yay!!! That's great - I'll be popping right on over to your PTR... happy I could help motivate you! ;) And I'm sure November will be here before ya know it! ::yes:: I'll do my best to keep you entertained until your trip approaches! :thumbsup2

LOVE your Belle look...very cute (and appropriate for work). We miss each other by a week in May. But it's fun to get Disney mail. :)

Thanks, Kathy! :goodvibes Dressing up as Belle... it just had to happen, I mean I work in a library for cryin' out loud! :rotfl:I know, that bums me out! Especially knowing that a week or so earlier in May is really when I would have preferred to go. Darn work... :sad2: Always getting in the way of fun... But you're right... it's is fun to get Disney mail! ;)

Aww your Disneybound Belle was so cute!

I love getting Mickey mail, and they send you so much now, a packet for planning, then magic bands, and ME stuff if you use the ME...it's like you're constantly getting reminded of your vacation! :dogdance:

Awww, thanks Jen! :goodvibes It was so much fun!

I know! Disney could literally send me mail every day and it wouldn't be too often! :rotfl:

Hi and :welcome:! Very happy to have you here and happy you're also a May traveler! As our trips get closer, we'll have to see if we have any parks in common those two days... I'd love to do a little Dismeet if you're interested! :thumbsup2

Ahhh, Via Napoli... haven't yet been but I've heard nothing but positive reviews.

Ugh, I know... we're so close but so far away... :sad2:

Yes, I would absolutely be willing to meet up for a DISmeet! We don't have any plans to go into the parks on those two days, but we should be right next to them. As your plans firm up (and once I get my last TR wrapped up and my PTR up and running), we'll have to see if there's anything we can do! :D

Joining in! I'm thinking about a solo trip next summer so I'm excited to read more about your plans.

I'm a total spreadsheet person too - color coded for ADRs, FP+, characters, etc...it's my joy in life!

:hyper: I know! :hyper: Its hard to believe with snow on the ground though! :rotfl:

Ugh, I hear ya on that!

:welcome:Happy to have you along! You should absolutely try for a solo trip! They're so much fun! ::yes:: As for the Disney spreadsheets... definitely a joy in life for me too! Now work spreadsheets... not so much! :rotfl:

I love coming here...it's my Disney fix till my trip in November! Everyone seems so positive and excited about Disney...but about life in general. It's inspirational....just like Disney ( the park and the man). He just wanted life to be filled with wonder! What a legacy he left for all of us to enjoy!

I couldn't agree more! And I couldn't have said it better myself! I can't help but think that Walt is smiling down on us and really, really happy that this Dis community exists :goodvibes :grouphug: :cloud9:

A tale of too many Be Our Guest ADRs... yes, you read that right.

Okay, guys, some help is needed asap! You'll never guess what happened to cause this "problem"
(is it really a problem?! ;))

Yesterday, as many of you know, was a very important day! You could make an ADR for Be Our Guest for LUNCH!!!
WOOHOO!!! :cool1:

I met this challenge like any dedicated Diser would and was in front of my computer at 5:55am (this isn't hard, my day typically begins with a 5:45am workout... I obviously bypassed that yesterday in favor of Be Our Guest! :thumbsup2).

After nearly an hour of getting denied (I was able to get all the way through save for the actual confirmation) and finally calling at 7am when that opened up (to a repeat busy signal), I finally gave up. And by gave up I mean I contacted my wonderful Mouse Fan Travel agent and asked if she could try during the day to secure an ADR for me.

Well, she was able to secure an ADR (but not on a day that I had originally wanted).
But that didn't matter!
I was thrilled! I didn't care, I'll move my plans around. I was just happy to get an ADR!

So then last night I logged on to make sure my reservation was linked and lo and behold! I had THREE ADRs for BoG! What?!?!? :confused3
Must be two of my "denied" attempts to get an ADR myself actually did go through.
However, in good faith, I simply can't hang on to all three ADRs. I mean, how can I possibly justify taking this experience away from a child - or another solo adult like me for that matter - who is just desperate to get in to this restaurant?! Besides, I have other places I want to eat at. It just doesn't make sense on multiple levels. So... onto the decisions.

Option #1: Wednesday, May 20 @ 1:35pm
(this was the ADR my travel agent got me)
Pros: I'm already planning on heading to MK for the evening that day
Cons: I probably don't want to commit myself to heading to MK that early - I may try to get over to DTD or even EP mid-day (I'm beginning my day with HS extra magic hour @ 8am)

Option #2: Thursday, May 21 @ 11:55am
Pros: I'll already be at MK that morning; this was originally my first choice for day
Cons: The timing might interfere with my to-be-determined FP+ times AND I have another ADR that evening at Sci-Fi (do I really want my only two ADRs to be on the same day? Does it matter?)

Option #3: Friday, May 22 @ 12:40pm
Pros: I was already planning on being at MK mid-day
Cons: I will have to rush my final time at AK to get over to MK before 12:40 (this may be fine but in the interest of being flexible, this makes me nervous - will I want to stay at AK longer since it'll be my last AK time of the whole trip?)

I still think I'm leaning towards Option #2 which was my original first choice. Guess I'm just looking for reassurance! How long should I expect to be at BoG for lunch? I haven't yet been! :hyper:

Could this trip just get here already?! :rotfl:

My gut says to go with Option 2. But I would hold on to the others for a bit. At least until you have your FP+ locked in. but its a nice problem to have.

I'd pick #2, too.
I don't know how much of an eater you are, but you can always eat what you want at BOG since that's probably a priority, then eat something lighter at Sci Fi.. or drop that ADR... or move it to later in the evening if you can or want to.

First world Disney problems, right?

I'd stay with Option 2 as well. You're window for FP+ will be an hour, so they're more flexible than you initially think (at least, I tend to think this way). Also, I don't think it would be a big deal to have 2 ADR's in one day - but I'd maybe look at pushing sci-fi back later if possible. Worst comes to worst, you could eat light at sci fi and still enjoy the atmosphere. IMHO, of course!

As far as how long you'll be at BOG, I'd budget 45 minutes to an hour from check in to walking out after eating. That should account for being in line, ordering, eating, and taking numerous pictures!

Wow! What a problem to have -- too many BOG ADRs! Hahaha very happy to read that it's not the opposite.
I'm thinking option #2.
#1 sounds like there's a lot of other things happening that day...
#3 I'm not a fan of rushing out of a park because you never know what could hold you up -- a 5 minute wait time you thought you had time for turns into 30, for example!
#2, your cons are less of a concern (Imo!) since they're about yet to be determined FP+ (so shouldn't be hard to schedule them around lunch) and the Sci-Fi. But having two in one day really isn't a problem!
Our BOG lunch didn't take too long. We waited in the line to get in, which took 25 minutes, and then maybe another 20 past that? And we took our time and ate slow.

It's a very nice problem to have! I think ultimately I will go with #2 but you are so right... after all, our FP+ dates are coming right along! :hyper: Thanks for the advice! :goodvibes

I'd pick #2, too.

So true! My priority is definitely eating at BoG - I mean I LOVE Sci-Fi but mostly for the ambience! Good point, thanks!!! :thumbsup2

I know, right?! If I were to want a problem in this world... this would be it! :rotfl:My Sci-Fi dinner isn't until 8:20 so I'd still have plenty of time in between which definitely makes me feel better about having two ADRs in one day. HAHAHA! Yes, budgeting time exclusively for taking pictures at BoG is a top priority!!! Good points, thank you!!! :thumbsup2

 I know! Of all problems to have, I sure have a "good" one! I agree - too much going on for #1 and you're so right about #3 - I hate having to rush out of a park, especially since I tend to err on the side of caution and over-budget time for precisely that reason! Thanks for the insight into BoG - that helps confirm I'd be making the right decision to go with #2. Thanks, Wendy!!! :thumbsup2

Wow, now this is a great problem to have Tracy. Of course I would be remiss if I didn't also mention my supreme love of forgoing a work out to make a ressie for food. :)

If it was me, I would absolutely option 2, hands down. One reason (and probably the main reason) I don't do ADR's in the first place is having to rush to make it on time, or having to leave somewhere, etc. So since this fits in best with your current plans, yeah, that'd be my pick.

Your DisneyBound for Belle is adorable! :goodvibes And it's even more perfect that you work in a library!
n other news... I received my first piece of Mickey mail!!! Here's a shot of my "important dates to remember":

I love Mickey mail! SO much fun!!
