Not sure of there is an official thread--but we are almost to our next season.

This is the dating season! 5 teams will be blind dates and 6 teams will be already dating couples.

Apparently there will also be a new date night prize which sounds like they enjoy while at the pit stop.

How do I edit title? I want to add that Fridays begin 2/27. So 2 episodes that first week.

Having it two nights the first week and changing it to Fridays is just going to confuse people not help et more people watching.

I think the blind date people are going to be at a great disadvantage.

I have a feeling that there is going to be a lot of drama on this season. I hope I am wrong though.

I don't like the concept of "novelty" teams (or "celebrities" either for that matter). Let's get back to good, old-fashioned pairs of regular people that become interesting as we get to know them. The one type of "specialty" show I would like to see would be Nation v.s. Nation. Many countries now have their own version of TAR, including Canada. I'd enjoy seeing teams from different countries vying for world supremacy!

Team truckstop
Blind date gay couple
Team Tuskegee

Not crazy about the dr team, well nit a fan of the female, she annoys me
Wasnt crazy about the losing team so no loss.

Don't like the hairdressers. They look like the wrestlers and I loathe men with girly eyebrows. Really, my main problem is with the brows.

Don't like Team Tuskegee. Any time you have to be subtitled, it is bad.

That doctor got screwed. His blind date reminds me of Bernadette from Big Bang Theory, with that little squeaky voice, but she's not as smart. Unless she can keep quiet, they have to go.

we watched last night, seems the blind dates fared better than the couples. Definitely don't like the truckstop people. The pediatric nurse - her voice ugh!

Why did they make them go though mud right off the bat. Then have to run to the airport. Yuck.
Such a hard task on the first leg too with the dance. I would have changed way earlier.

Yeah I feel sorry for the doctor, maybe she will grow on him.

Such a shame that that couple got eliminated -- I think they would have been strong contenders (at least the female). I can't blame the truck stop couple for u-turning them. They thought that they were the only ones behind them and they had to ensure their safety. I get the feeling that they would've come in last even without being u-turned.

I'm surprised of the 9 teams that did the dance challenge, not one of them at any time suggested that they ditch it and do the other challenge. It happens every episode of this show, but not that I noticed last night. Weird.

While NKOTB Jonathan said he's slow at learning dance moves which is why he chose the sake challenge, it's not like he's got more experience with sake than dancing, so the dance challenge seemed like the obvious choice. Since the sake challenge was so much easier than the other one, they chose right, but just thought it was weird that he'd want to not do to dance challenge. From what I can tell, his partner has the brains of the two.

Speaking of no brains, not a fan of Team Tuskegee -- would've liked to see them go. It bothers me that they don't seem to move with a purpose -- just kind of stumble around.

That poor doctor stuck with that nurse -- but, I'm not that crazy about him either.

I agree that the male hairdresser reminds me of the male wrestler from last season.

Should be a good season.

I am baffled. I checked my tivo and AR is #1 on my season pass but I have no episode. Boo.

I guess I will catch up on Friday.

I watched but am not a fan so far of The Amazing Race meets The Bachelor concept. I rather a variety of relationship. I guess the blind date thing will be entertaining of how the couples are able to work together.

I am still trying to figure out who is who so I don't have a favourite but the nurse is annoying! Why go on the amazing race if you are going to freak out about mud and water. Just imagine how she will deal with the other tasks will be thrown at her.

I like the blind daters! My least favorite part of TAR is partners yelling at each other, belittling at each other, and feeling free to whine. Hated the lady wrestler last season ,she was the worst whiner I can remember. And of the medical couple, I like the nurse much more than the doctor. She seems like she will have a sense of humor and she reminds me of Anna Faris. She could use a voice transplant though.

Did the Olympians say anything? Was excited about them, but they seem to really be under the radar. Maybe deliberately.

I really enjoyed the team Tuskegee, I would react the same way being that big of city.
