It's Back-January Trip-A-Day Contest!

It has now been 15 days since we returned the questionnaire and still haven't gotten a confirmation with dates from Disney. The Disney email said we had until Feb 27th to return the questionnaire, so I wonder if they won't confirm until they gotten most of the questionnaires back?

I think we have narrowed down dates. Initially, we were hoping to go during the time we already had scheduled which is May 4th through May 13th, but since it seems to be taking longer this year to get plans set up. We just decided to add my friend to our current trip. She is covering her food/souvenirs and I got her round trip tickets for $232 today and then 8 day ph/water parks fun and more like ours through UT for the pre-price increase of 421.00. That leaves the extra adult charge for 9 nights of around $150. Even if we take care of all of that expense, it will be cheaper than the taxes we'll pay if we took the winning trip in 2015. So our plan is to take our winning trip in Jan. 2016 and not have to pay taxes until 2017. Dates of the 23rd-31st will be our first choice so right at the end of the booking window. The best part is we can surprise dd by bringing along her bff to stay w/her in the Castle!! We home school dd and her bff would only have to take off 5 days which her parents would be okay with. With having Christmas break right before, hopefully she could get school work early and do it over the break. It would hit early in the 2nd semester so not too critical of a time. Crossing fingers this all works out well!!

Faxed in my questionnaire on Friday morning and received an email from Disney Friday afternoon stating they received it and would start booking soon.

I'd double check but there might be extra paper work to get the parents permission. I was thinking that too because I considered taking my niece with me. I could be wrong but I thought it said as you said but there is a way to get written permission.
Just look further into it.

The Group must travel together on the same itinerary and members of the Group are solely responsible for obtaining all necessary travel documents (i.e. valid photo I.D, passport etc.) before departure. All members of the Group will be required to execute a Release of Liability prior to ticketing. Anyone in the Group who is a Minor must be accompanied on the Trip by his/her parent/legal guardian (“Parent”) as one of the Group, who must sign and return all required documentation. Minors must be accompanied at all times during Trip (including, but not limited to, in-flight, and all Prize-related events) by his/her Parent.

LOL ) With how many people seem to have been chosen as alternates it really makes me curious. I do check my spam folder but honestly I always wonder about my spam folder and if my lack of internet knowledge is showing through because my spam folder doesn't really get a whole lot of emails each day...maybe 5?

Our Disney trip for next year is looking less and less likely lately. My dh thinks we should wait another few years till our boys are older...but it makes me sad to not bring my girls one more time before they lose their love of princesses. We will have a 4th grader next fall though so my dh wants to take advantage of the national park thing next year and do that as our family vacation. I get his point, just sad about it.

Our winning email came to the regular inbox, not spam. The sender's name (you all know who she is) appears as the sender, is not in all caps or anything suspicious looking, with the subject line "Disney Flip Side Sweepstakes - Potential Winner - Please Respond (Jan X)," (X being the date you won).

Congrats to all the winners!! I can't even imagine how exciting it must be!
A night at the castle is a very special treat!

I've been wondering if there's any Canadian winners?? Now that we know who is sending the emails and it's not Disney I've been wondering if the email would get past our anti spam legislation that was passed in 2014. I only get email from sites I provided consent.
I'd love to hear there's a Canadian winner and I could be hopefull again next time.

Bummer! I'm glad the girls don't know yet. I'd say that maybe her mom could pay for herself and go w/us, but they have 3 other girls, 2 in school plus a toddler and both parents work full time so that's not going to work. Maybe it will just be us. We'd love to share the Cinderella Suite w/somebody else.

I will ask if we purchase her bff's airfare and tickets, can she come with us, but that's a long shot.

ya that would change my thinking if we won cause I can't afford to pay for my brother or sister in law to come with us and they have too many expenses coming up this year to join me. I guess that also changes the pressure of deciding who does get to go.

I keep having nightmares where my husband wins, and deletes the email. I ask him 100 questions a day.... "Did you get any emails from a Betty? Did you get one that said "potential winner"? Did you really look?" It's a good thing he's patient with me....

I know this is silly but I am dreaming today about which hotel I would stay if I were to win. Can you tell how bad of a day it is. LOL! Anyway is it deluxe hotels you have to pick from? What about DVC like Old Key West or Bay Lake? Thanks and congrats!!! Hope you all have awesome trips!!!
