Has anyone decorated their Magic Bands? Please show us the pictures!

Ok Dis-peeps. What is the best top coat you have used? Something that won't crack.

Believe it or not:

As I mentioned in my last post in this thread, it also glows under blacklight, so that's an added plus since a lot of the rides have blacklights (RnR, Haunted Mansion, Space Mountain, etc). We leave for our trip next week (6 nights/7 days), so I'll be sure to report back on how well it held up.

These are great! This is exactly what I was hoping to do. I want simple so I can't mess them up! Can you explain how you did these? Thanks!! I'm looking especially at the Belle and Ariel ones. My DS will want specific characters on his.
I put a base coat of clear nail polish and then used Princess temporary tattoos that I found in the party section at target. I then put silver glitter nail polish on the Ariel one and some old crafting rub ons on the Belle one. I sealed them both with more clear polish. Make sure that you work on them while closed in the size you need so that the polish doesn't crack. The orange and green ones were also done using rub ons, though I redid the green one with red polish and sparkles all over. I went by Party City today and they had a lot of character tattoos available. I'll be making my husband a Perry the platypus band tonight. :)

I've seen a design I like online but can't find it anywhere to buy. It looks like a swirling flourish with maybe little flowers or leaves. I could probably have my sister cut it out of vinyl for me, which may work well. I've also seen some scrapbooking rub-ons that I really like. Has anyone used scrapbooking rub-ons? Did they work well?
I used rub ons and they worked really well. But beware, it was REALLY hard to take them off once they were on if you mess up.

Is it easier to decorate a grey magic band vs a colored one?
I want to make my band purple. Also which would be the best to color with that won't appear puffy when painted on?

If you are going to do purple I would get either a gray or pink band. I would say acrylic paint if you don't want it to be too thick. It might take several coats to get the purple to the shade that you want and nail polish will get "puffy".

My first magic band attempt! Everyone's look so wonderful, I'm jealous I don't have any artistic ability!

I know this was awhile ago, but are those just tiny stickers? And did you put anything else on them to hold them on? I think this is adorable!

Our latest magic bands!! Loved how they turned out and held up over our week in Disney. Did a light pink band with interchangeable bows this time to match my outfits, and his is just classic black mickey with a white outline. Not sure if anyone else has done the bows, but we got a lot a lot of compliments on the bow thing.

Base coat first or on top? Thanks ~:)~
I actually didn't do a base coat first, just applied the tattoos. One of them I ended up removing to change before I finished and it came right off with nail polish remover. Base coat on top (not top coat, because it cracks)

I have to say, I am very impressed with all the creativity I am seeing...and a little jealous. My artistic skills are virtually nonexistent.

That being said, I placed an order last night with My Fantasy Bands. I'm sure someone here has mentioned her site. If you haven't seen it, she does really cool decals. Lots of designs to choose from and pretty cheap pricing.
