Disney Dream ~ May 18-22, 2015

Thank you NicciMouse! I got the changes made, but just wondering if your MIL will still be coming?

Soooo advice on Nassau day... Blue Lagoon beach or Atlantis? I am just wondering if its really worth the $99 per person to go to Atlantis

Hello everyone,
This is our family's 1st Disney cruise! Kids will be 10, 8 and 1. We have other family members cruising as well. We are all excited!!! We will be joining the facebook group and would love to be a part of FE :)
Hello! This is our families first Disney cruise as well! We would love to be part of your FE group! (I'm not sure if this is the way to go about it.....I'm pretty confused as to how we sign up for this) W
I have added your thread to the cruise meet list :beach:
Have a great cruise! pixiedust:
Hi there. This is our families first Disney cruise and I'm not really sure how to sign up for the FE exchange? Do I just look through the posts and reply to a family? Thanks for your help!!

Hi everyone! This is the first Disney cruise for my husband, 2 daughters and I. Can anyone help me understand how to sign up for the fish extender exchange?
Hi, Erica. MandyLandy is maintaining our list - just post your family information/ages and stateroom # and she will add it on. Our group is just the last couple pages or so of this thread, as early posters abandoned and went to a private group. I think you make family #14 and we are capping at 15 families. Welcome! :goodvibes

Ya mine only went down $6 too but that $6 could buy you possibly a drink on the cruise???? I dunno its my first one, well it could at least go towards the drink lol:rotfl2:
Yes! $6 will buy a drink! I don't know if I can post a link or not but there is a page that explains how drinking works on Disney cruise ships. Just google "A guide to drinking on a disney cruise" and you'll find what you want to know. Always remember you can carry on your own adult beverages for your own enjoyment in your own stateroom....translates to, take a wine glass from any bar and fill it up in your room. once it's in the glass, noone will question you.

I'm not sure if you need to cap it. Maybe if you get upwards of 20 staterooms just split it into 2 groups of 10. We might get more fellow cruisers stumble in closer to departure.

Wouldn't that make it hard to plan gifts if we don't know how many people are participating?

I agree there may be last-minute people wanting to get in on FE, but maybe that can be a second group? And if someone from the first wants to also join the second they can, maybe? I don't know, this is all new to me, but I just don't want to have 15 of something ready and then find out there's 5 more that I don't have anything for (there's some things I've been thinking about getting soon, while they're still available).

Thank you!!

We would like to join the FE. There will be my husband and I, and our 2 daughters who are 11 and 6 years old. Stateroom 6582. Thank you!

Welcome Erica Wolf!!! I have you and your family down. Thank you- we're excited to have you. Like Dugette said, you are our 14th family, and we will be capping at 15.Markheardjr, I understand more may be wanting to partipate towards the end, but we will still cap ours at 15 then a new group can form after that. We need to allow time for our gifts to come in if ordering or make/buy them so with that said we'll cap at 15, or close on March 31...whichever comes first.

Woo hoo, we're down to 3 months, guys! :cool1:

Can't wait to get on board Captain Mickey's ship! :sail:

One thought on FE communication: after we have our group finalized, maybe we can use the "conversation" feature of the new site (previously PMs) to share the master list and any additional info we don't want to post publicly (last names, etc.)? I was in a group "conversation" for something else and it seems like it just functions as a private thread, from what I can tell. The only thing I'm not sure of is whether the 10 post minimum is to access conversations or just to start a conversation (as I know we have some very new members in our group). Could be a good option, at any rate.

:mickeyjumThat's a great idea, Dugette! I will start a private post when our FE is fulfilled. I know folks without more than 10 posts can SEE posts, but also not sure about replying. I'll look into it.

Hi fellow cruisers. My husband and I, with our twin boys (who are 5) would love to join a fish extender group. We are in stateroom 7124. I may have two other families to join, if there is room. Please let me know! Thanks, and we'll see you all in less than 90 days! Jill

Woo Hoo! Checked in! 10:30am boarding time...all the extra time on the ship we could get! Still no stateroom number. :( Might end up being last minute. I think we'll have to organize a meet up in one of the areas the first day and I can maybe get our room number out to everyone then. Or I can post here quickly while we still have cell service in port.

I wasn't meaning the new folks would be included in as one big FE group. I mean, if you keep adding, and you hit, say 20 staterooms, you do groups of 10, if 10 more sign up, just do another group of 10. Or whatever size group you think is good. But already we have over 12 staterooms and nearly 50 people signed up. That's a bit much for one big group IMO. Make a cut off date for each group.
Also, I'm hoping our organizer will post a FE group list on their stateroom door so everyone knows the stateroom number to go to on departure day to check to make sure if upgrades happen that the new stateroom can be inked in and update everyone. Its looking like we won't know ours until the day of so we'll have to update everyone and I've read that is how most cruisers do it.

I am so excited! As this is our first Disney cruise, maybe you could clear a few things up for me? Do we have a gift for everyone each day or just one day? Any help is appreciated! Thanks!!

I'm not sure if We (Jill's Crew) made it on to the list of 15, but if there is interest in a second group, my kids and I would be grateful. I know if there is a cap of 10 then I can get another family to participate. If group 1 caps at 10 instead of 15, group 2 would already have a good number to work with (5 from group 1) and 2-3 from group 2. Just a thought...

Welcome Jill's Crew! You are our 15th and final family of our FE! Thank you for providing your information. I will work on a more professional and easy to read list, and attach it here in the next couple days. MarkHeardJr, thank you for explaining your thought a little more clearly...I understand now. If the majority of folks would like to split the groups with a cap at 10, thats totally fine. Let me take a look at my list and I'll post later this afternoon who group 1 and the start of group 2 would be. Also, I certainly will post a list of my group on my cabin door for any changes, and will pass that suggestion onto whomever choses to be the leader of our group 2.
Erica Wolf, to answer your question, you only purchase one gift per person. It's a one-time gift to put in the recipients FE any day throughout the cruise. Great question!
