Fantasy Eastern Feb 8-15 2014-Cupids in the Caribbean-TRIP REPORT COMPLETED 7/17!

Here are the top moments according to me!

1. Mixology-This was such a blast. It was great to have a chance to meet some fellow cruisers, learn a little bit about mixing cocktails, and indulge in some beverages.







2. These smiling faces-It was just such a joy to spend time with these smiling faces.

















3. Ducky Williams-It was so inspiring to hear his story of perseverance. It got even better when I won a sketch of Pluto! DH commented that he loved to see how happy I was when I returned from Ducky's talk.





4. My three hour tour-I truly felt like the Fantasy was all mine. I felt such peace and I did not have a care in the world.

5. Parasailing-Considering how scared I was going into this activity I can't believe how much I enjoyed it!







6. Seeing new places-I love all of the new places that our cruise on the Fantasy allowed me to see.

Loved your report. My girls and I have been following along as we are doing the Eastern next year. You have encouraged my DD10 to choose the pairsailing as her adventure.

Can you tell me where you found the floppy straw hats for the girls? I can find them for adults but the kids drown in them.

I am so glad that you stuck me with through the end! I hope your DD10 enjoys the parasailing adventure as much as we did.

I found the hats for the kiddos at the end of the season last year at Old Navy. They worked perfectly to protect them from the strong rays that we experienced.

What a fun read, thank you for posting! This has been my bedtime reading for the past few nights. My family (DH, DD8, DD4) and I will go on our first cruise (Disney or otherwise) on the same sailing as yours, but one year later. We embark on our Eastern Fantasy cruise on 2/7/15. This was such a wealth of information!

My key take-aways:

• Hair braiding - looks awesome, but hurts (prepare DD8 now)
• Shutters - don't have to stress about a CD, can get an album for $150
• Deck 4 - for running laps and relaxing
• Oceaneer Club/Lab - both my girls are big on crafts, so it should be a hit
• Catch early shows when available
• Mixology with Facebook group - sign up
• The long-sleeved Minnie PJs I got my girls for Xmas should be just fine
• Summer clothes in the Caribbean, even in February

I especially like how you ended with everyone favorite memories. Makes me think I might want to do something similar. Thanks again!

I've done one 10K, 3 halfs and 3 fulls at WDW, and a half at Disneyland. It's actually the reason I started running. I'm training for my second Goofy Challnge in January. Congrats on your new countdown!

I jumped online on opening morning for the 2016 itineraries just to see what the prices were looking like. When I found that we could cruise in January for around the same price as what we paid for our 2014 cruise, I decided to do a hold until I could talk to DH. I wasn't sure how he would respond, but I made my case and he agreed pretty quickly. We haven't said anything to the kiddos yet, but I'm not sure that I will be able to hold out for very long!

The girls and I were pretty sad on our last day. DH looked at us like we were crazy, but I think he was feeling the same way on the inside!
