Disney's ALL-STAR MOVIES RESORT Information & Questions

So, if I do online check in and can only pick two of those things listed, which 2 would be best for someone who would like a quiet room? I'm in the standard section. Landscape view and 3rd floor? Or does the floor not matter and section is more important? I have only stayed at POR and don't know how much you can hear others in the rooms. Thanks for the responses! :)

Can I request a king bed if there are 3 of us? My little guy will wind up in my bed anyways would rather a king vs 2 doubles

I think floor matters. Disney can't really control the behavior of your upstairs neighbors so imho you may as well avoid having any. Otoh we did get a tad tired of the stairs, which we took occasionally "for fun" or due to our impatience. Fyi we were on the back side of one of the fantasia bldgs... so quiet dh thought it was too isolated for his tastes lol. (But also it was low season during recession and I doubt asmo was full.)

The Visa Disney rates were released today.

Movies only had preferred rooms.

It was actually only $3 more per night then what I am currently paying for my rack rate standard room.

I didn't switch.

Preferred is nice but honestly I think I want to be at the end by Music so I can try out the new food court and catch the bus there at the second stop if I need to.

My luck I'd pay preferred and end up at the end of Toy Story. Then again I'll probably stay at standard and end up in the Love Bug section. I have no room placement Karma no matter where I stay I always get views of air conditioners , brick walls, or trash cans or have the room that qualifies for something but only by the narrowest of definitions. Like courtyard view but the tree has grown in front of my balcony or preferred but the furthest room of the preferred section. I am at the point of not really trying anymore.

If you do on line check in you can request which building you want to be in and in your case it is Mighty Ducks. You can also request this when you make your reservation. I have been upgraded twice at ASMo. The first time I was in Fantasia in the back facing the parking lot in the last room:lmao: the second time I was put in Toy Story again in the back facing the parking lot in the last room:lmao:To me these really weren't upgrades even though they made it seem like it was a big deal at check in. Fortunately it is a small resort

We booked a preferred room. What would be a good building/location to be as far from the pools, but close to transportation as possible?

TIA! :)

Toy Story - no pool and clos(er) to the main building, with perhaps some shortcuts to transportation depending on where you're assigned.

We just got back last weekend. Toy Story was nice and quiet, well away from the pool, and not very far from transportation. We had a 1st floor room and were very happy with it.

I agree, I stayed at Toy Story and it was AWESOME! Very quiet and very close.

Late Winter Passholder Discount came out today (although according to Call Center it is not available).

Preferred rooms for $83.

No standard available.

We are staying in a preferred room in December. Which building would this be, Fantasia? I need a ground floor for physical reasons, do you think that would be a problem? How do the buses for the All Stars work? I remember staying at Music and we had to pick up from another All Star Hotel, is it still like that?

Most of ASMo is Preferred. You could be anywhere except Love Bug or Mighty Ducks

Sometimes you will share a bus with Sports and Music and sometimes you won't. It depends on the time of day/how busy/etc.
