You can have multiple bands active, and switch back and forth...My wife is excited about matching her and DD's bands to outfits, since we all have 3 sets now. LOL

I am hoping to stumble on an OLAF?

They can only be bought in the parks and have to be linked to A MM+ account or Ticket Media upon purchase.

Not always true! Of the 4 our family bought only 2 were activated ....

Then you just got lucky with a CM who forgot. They've been cracking down on making sure they get activated.

Was this the only "extra" you noticed with the band. I was wondering if there were any surprises associated with the HM band since it on my must have list

Not sure of supply and demand at this point, but the new HM gift shop, Memento Mori, had a bunch of these HM magic bands a couple of weeks ago. I had guessed they had sold out soon after first appearing, but apparently not. I would love to have one, but when you get regular ones for "free" and they want you to shell out $25 for this custom option, that's hard to swallow (for something I'd have no reason to wear/use other than while at WDW). Heaven knows we have made some questionable, spur-of-the-moment purchases at WDW over the years, but I just couldn't quite justify this one.

I believe these ones are open edition the frozen ones are special edition and the Christmas ones are limited edition

they have so many different terms for these themed magic bands it's hard to keep them straight. Some only have a thousand or two for sale others are for sale for a certain period of time some are sold all the time. I guess as long as they sell they'll keep putting them on the shelves.
