Are the fish and chips at the Yorkshire County Fish Shop the same quality as the fish and chips at the Rose and Crown Dining room?
They are the same I believe. Also something we discovered as we have never done table seating at the Rose & Crown but have ordered the fish & chips from the stand outside many times.
The prices vary from the chip shop outside to the sit down inside. Plus, I am pretty sure you get the same portions at each place, which is two strips of fish and chips. I could be wrong there so someone please correct me if you get more inside than two strips of fish.
Inside: $18.99
Outside: $8.99
We've just always went to the chip ship outside, ordered and went back into the 'Pub' and saved $10.00 for lunch.
We also like the English Bulldog in the 'Pub' portion for a quick snack with a pint or two.
I did not know you could do this. Will definitely keep it in mind for future trips tho. We've always tried to grab one of the outdoor tables but I would much rather sit in the pub. Question tho - are kids allowed in the pub?
but I would much rather sit in the pub.

It's the same fish.
English Bulldog sandwich has been off the menu since last October.
I've also heard that you can get one occasionally if you happen to ask the right person at the right time...but officially it's off the menu and is apparently going to stay that way.
. . . Get there EARLY if you want to sit in the Pub-Tables are always in SHORT supply! . . .
