Rose and Crown/Yorkshire Fish Shop Quality

Are the fish and chips at the Yorkshire County Fish Shop the same quality as the fish and chips at the Rose and Crown Dining room?

I don't know if the same quality but I do know my husband and I loved them and plan to go back again this year at least once if not twice!!!

I could have them for lunch everyday, but I have to be fair to other options.

We have only had them from the quick service stand outside so I can't say for sure. But IIRC, the stand is actually part of the same building that houses Rose and Crown. So the fish are probably coming from the same kitchen whether you get them in the dining room or from the little QS stand. I know that the pictures of the fish and chips from R&C look the same as the ones we get from the QS place. And we do those every trip - DD loves them.

They are the same I believe. Also something we discovered as we have never done table seating at the Rose & Crown but have ordered the fish & chips from the stand outside many times.

The prices vary from the chip shop outside to the sit down inside. Plus, I am pretty sure you get the same portions at each place, which is two strips of fish and chips. I could be wrong there so someone please correct me if you get more inside than two strips of fish.

I did not know you could do this. Will definitely keep it in mind for future trips tho. We've always tried to grab one of the outdoor tables but I would much rather sit in the pub. Question tho - are kids allowed in the pub?

Yes. I have always seen kids in the pub portion as it is just part of the UK pavilion.

Thanks everyone! We are considering fish and chips for our arrival day, but we don't really want to have to rush to make it to a reservation on time in case of delays.....so we will just stick with the QS!

Strange ... Wife was there in December for a conference she had two of them while there. May be "off menu" but I'm sure they still have the ingredients laying around.

1) Got that one straight.
2) People, when they finally get a table, hold onto it.
3) This is not out of spite, but R&C Pub is such a great place to relax in the A/C.
4) Of course, the availability of fine spirits (especially single malt scotches) might also be a plus.
5) And, of course bringing in a Fish & Chips from Yorkshire
