July BOG FP+

Sign me up for the I survived button. If I actually DO survive. I would love to go either the 13th or 14th... Blah! So is this new policy supposed to be that we sign up the day we check in? And there's no pre-reservation FP? Still confused.
 
So im confused and this thread is ay to long to go through every post lol.


Im traveling in September the 15-20(basically, thats when i can do the reservation for) Whats the general idea of when this opens for us to book the FP lunch option.

Thanks to anyone that can quote me si can find the answer much more quikly lol

the basic idea is that you can make a FP+ ressie for a QS lunch at a certain date and time. There are 2 options—1) you get to bypass the standby guests and go directly to the kiosks to order, or 2) order directly now and the food will be ready when you arrive.

No other QS location offers FP+ ressies. It does not count against your 3 attraction FP+s, hence the special web site.

As for when? well we are at June 23 now and it seems on a holding pattern going no further then July 8th (or so). We are just under 3 weeks away, and nothing for us is open yet. There seems to be no set pattern for opening dates.

buuuuuuuut......it appears some posters have gotten info saying that they are ending this program as it stands now, and they are offering it at check in.


I don't know. I already have a dinner ressie there, and while i'd love a lunch one to try it out, all the hassle makes it not worth it.
 
I started this mess on 5/9 . . . 325 replies ago! I can't believe it is still going. At that time it was stuck on June 28th and I needed June 30th! I leave in 3 days and will be having lunch at BoG on week from today. Good luck to all!!!

Woo hoo!! So happy for you!

I'm not stressing too much about this as of now. We do have a dinner ADR at BOG on the last night of our trip as well, but the reason I wanted to get a FP+ for it on our first MK day is because DS9 is allergic to nuts, and BOG is the only place at WDW that serves cupcakes he could eat (as long as we get it without the decorations on top). So ds9 and I were going to go into there in the early afternoon and then return to our resort for our usual afternoon break. The plan was to pick up a few of them and keep them in the fridge for a few days so he could have something other than ice cream for dessert (I'm also bringing Oreos for him, as well as Enjoy Life Coco Loco chewy bars, both of which he lives and requested I bring...I know WDW carries some Enjoy Life products but I'd rather bring my own since I could buy a whole box for what one serving costs at WDW). So, hopefully we could get that FP+ for it. If not, he knows we might not be able to get them until our last night when we go there for dinner and he could order one for dessert, but we could also try the regular line and see how long it is before we leave the park.
 
I want that button too. :rotfl2: We are waiting for the 27th. Not to worried. My Daughter went during spring break / star wars weekend got on the line around 11 and waited 20 mins to get in. If we don't get a fastpass this is our plan. But will keep checking because I have Disney OCD. :goodvibes
 
So, I know everything right now is just hearsay, so I'm not sure why I'm going to ask for clarification on a rumor :rotfl:, but here goes...

I've seen two different versions of this "rumor." That people are going to only be able to book a BOG FP+ FOR the day of their arrival........OR.....that people are only going to be able to book ON their day of arrival for any date within the first 7 days of their stay. Anyone know which they've heard? Also, if it's the latter, could we , say, book on the app in the car on the way down on our arrival day? We did online check in, so technically we'd already be "checked in?"
 
Only being able to book FOR the day of your arrival would prevent many people from being able to use it. Not everyone will arrive in time for lunch or intend to visit MK on the first day.

However, my arrival day is my first choice for BOG. I'm really not opposed to standing in line as long as it's not more than 30 minutes or so. We've waited longer than that to be seated at IHOP and I don't even like IHOP very much!
 
Bump - I am officially 30 days out from desired date and still no luck. I've stood in line in previous visits so not a big deal but any saving in time would be nice given this was service that was previously available.

Same here...I will check out the line and wait if it is reasonable, but saving time would be great since I'm just getting some cupcakes to bring back to the resort. So this will be after a long tiring morning at MK, and I will be eager to get out of there and take a break in the room.
