**Official Frozen Sing-Along, Oaken's, Holiday Premium Package Tips, updated 1/5/15

If anyone hears of a handicap/wheelchair viewing section for the welcome or fireworks, please post it here. My 86 year old mother will be with us in a wheelchair. Judging by my experience on May the Fourth Be With You fireworks last year, I know both of those events will be like mosh-pits. I know my mom would like to see the welcome and the fireworks, but if people are standing all around her while she is stuck in a wheelchair, she won't get to see anything.

For sww, the disability viewing of the parade was on the right hand side facing the hat, and near the sound tent. I think only one person was allowed to accompany.

I don't remember seeing any section for the fireworks, but crowds weren't anything like the May the fourth crowds of 2013. Since it's spread over each night that will help with crowds.

I'm hoping that won't be SWW-heavy since the events happen each and every day. Maybe that's wishful thinking!!! ;)

Aww, bummer that we won't see it from the Fantasmic! area. We have the F! Dinner Package so we have to go to the first show at 9:00. I suppose we will try to see even a tiny bit of the Frozen fireworks, but sounds like we will miss it. :(

I think we will try for the indoor activities though, and also the dance party. Our F! Dinner ADR is 5:45 so we could check out the dance party at least for a little while after we finish dinner but before Fantasmic!

I wonder if they will have special Frozen character meals like they did for SWW. We have a late breakfast planned for H&V because my boys still love Jake, but I'm sure they would love a Frozen character meal even more...they really love that movie. I would gladly trade the one we have for one with Frozen characters!

I don't know what to expect crowdwise. One of the crowd calendars has the 5th listed as an 8, so that's pretty busy.

I think at first it will be pretty busy with it being new and summer break. As we get into August and schools go back in session there will be much less crowds.

Sounds like a good plan. Maybe if you leave F! early you can catch the fireworks?

I'm wondering the same. I hope the food and merchandise announcements are soon.

!

I went to the star wars weekends twice and both times I went to the 9:00 fantasmic followed by the 9:45 fireworks with no problem. When fantasmic lets out stick to the left and follow the crowds towards the far left exit going by the Ursula and witch sections. This exit takes you along a path that leads toward the main exit at the front of the park. They will be directing people to exit the park. However both times I separated from the exiting crowd to find a spot to stand in the street. Both times I was there in plenty of time (5-10 minutes) before the fireworks started. And one night fantasmic started late due to weather and I still got there before the fireworks started.

The beginning of the street looking toward the hat is actually a great place to view the fireworks. It is actually a really great view of the fireworks.

One caveat I was only with adults so we could walk pretty fast even through the crowd. But even with youngsters in tow I think you should be able to catch most of the fireworks display.

Thanks for sharing your experience and tip. I'll add it to the first post. I'm sure it will help others who have an early F! time.

Thanks for putting this thread together lovethattink!!!! Looking forward to reading tips on this. We are heading to WDW in 2 1/2 weeks!

It appears that if you want to skate there yourself, you must rent skates. The person answering the questions on the Parks Blog did not come out and say you could bring your own skates. He just repeated that skates would be available for rental for a nominal fee. That will be very disappointing to my daughter who would probably like to skate, but not in rentals. I am trying to get a direct answer to this and I will post if I do.

Thank you for this information!

Let me make sure I have this correct...when you say the beginning of the street looking toward the hat, do you mean the long road you walk down when first entering the park? Therefore it would also be the way out. I want to make sure I get this location right!

When you exit the direction speedo described, you will be near the stroller rental area at the front entrance area of the park. Your view will be of the Hat at the end of Hollywood Blvd and a great place to exit after the fireworks.

Wow, five-year-old sister and I are so jealous. We won't be there until next year. Think if the reception to this is well enough they may keep parts of it?

:thumbsup2 Please be sure to report back with your experience and tips.

Thanks. Look forward to the answer. That may be a question security has to answer?

You never know? The Symphony in the Stars fireworks were used in May 2013 and were brought back this year for SWW. Villains Unleashed was first a Limited Time Magic event and now it's being brought back in August as a special ticketed event.

Welcome! From your signature, it looks like you have an awesome vacation planned; Trade Winds, Universal and Disney! I have two boys. My oldest thinks it's great for Disney to add this, but if he misses it he won't be upset. My youngest loves Kristoff and Sven and he is so happy to see Kristoff added to the line up! He loves theater and singing so he is very excited about the sing-along. He wants to dress like Kristoff, disneybounding style. We have a few days to work on that! Missyrose gave us some great ideas! But he is mostly excited for the activities inside Soundstage 1.[/QUOTE]

Frozen kind of passed me buy and when my son and I finally went to see it, half way through the film he leant over to me and said "mum, would we have come to see this if we'd known it was about Princesses?" He made me laugh so much. I think the trailers we'd seen only had the snowman and I also didn't realise it was a musical. My two seven year old nieces just love it and I have promised to bring back something Frozen for them. They came with us last year and I just wish my brothers family could come again. It was so much fun. I plan to take them to a Frozen sing a long at the cinema in London, not quite the same but sure it will be a lot if fun.

The trailers with Olaf were deceiving.

I'm glad my dh and ds enjoyed Frozen as much as I did. My youngest takes theater classes and voice lessons. He loves musicals.

The Frozen merchandise seems to go off the shelves quickly. So if you see something you want to get the girls (especially the dolls) be sure to get it then. Sir Mickey's at the MK has a large selection of Frozen merchandise. Though things go out of stock there quickly.

Something for everyone to keep in mind is that, for the duration of this event, TSMM, One Man's Dream and Legend of Capt. Jack Sparrow will close at 8:30pm because of safety issues with fireworks fall out.
Also Great Movie Ride will close at 8pm. On this I'm not completely sure but I think they re-open GMR faster than TSMM because there's less fireworks fall out.
On days that the park closes at 10pm they will not re open.
When the park closes later TSMM and Jack Sparrow will most likely open around 10:20pm to 10:30pm

When you say "close" do they dump the queue, or will you be able to get a ride in if you're in line by 8:30?

Also, do you think that 8:30 close will be moved to 8:00 on nights at the end of August when the fireworks move to 9:15?

We'll probably do the fireworks on our first night, but then do something else the second night...an extra TSM ride would be awesome. I just need to know what time to get into line.

Very interested in checking this all out! Wondering if this has anything to do with why all the park hours were adjusted a week or so ago beginning in July.....maybe to try and even out the demand. Interesting! We are looking forward to it! :)
