Are TS credits "pooled"?

My wife, a daughter (age 9) and I will be going for 7 days with the regular dining plan (1 QS and 1 TS) and one of my nieces (also age 9) will be joining us for the last 3 days. She will not have the dining plan. My question is, when the four of us go for a TS dinner, how does the restaurant "see" our credits? Do they know who each TS credit belongs to (unlike the QS credits, that are "pooled")? Are the TS credits "pooled" as well, such that the restaurant will subtract 4 credits from our plan? I don't want to waste an adult TS credit to pay for a children's meal and would like to pay OP for my niece.

Thanks,

Thanks,

They are pooled, but they are differentiated between kids and adults. You can only order the number of meals for people on the plan. Meaning if you have a plan for 3 people, you cannot pay for 4 meals with your credits, just 3, so yes, you would just pay OOP for her meals. Just tell the waiter/waitress at the beginning of the meal, and remind them when it is time to pay.

Per Disney's rules regarding redemption of your dining credits, they will know when they scan your band or card how many people you have on the plan, and you would not be able to use your credits to purchase an extra meal to give to someone who is not on the plan, so they won't automatically deduct 4 credits.

Explain to the server when you order which 3 meals will be paid for with dining credits, and which one will be OOP, and you'll receive separate bills for DDP and OOP.

Thanks for the super-quick responses.

It sounds like they will know what to do.

With Disney sensory overload going on, I'm just afraid that I might forget to tell them and then it will be a hassle to fix...
