TS Ordering from Kids menu

Two part question:

We will be dining at Narcoosee's my 12 year old is more interested in ordering from the kids menu than the adult menu. Is this allowed?

We will be using the dining plan if she can order off the kids menu can we pay out of pocket and save her credit for another day?

It is up to the restaurant. Narcoosee's is not one that I've seen on the "no, you can't do that list", but I've also not seen them on the "sure" list. This is mainly if you insist on using the dining plan for her.

Since they will take two dining credits (right?), I would pay OOP for her and have her order off of the kid's menu and save the credits for another meal.

I think I'll give it a try. Pay out of pocket and see if they will let her order off the kids menu.

She is really a pretty good eater she is fine with the adult menu at the other restaurants we will be going to, but she just couldn't find anything here that interested her in the least.

No, there is no list.

However, those are both Disney operated restaurants and doing that with DDP anyway, you appear to be much better off at Disney operated restaurants.

There isn't a list of restaurants. Almost all of the TS restaurants where you order from a menu will let anyone order from the kids menu. There have been occasional posts that a restaurant or server didn't allow it, but there is no consistency. You will just have to ask at each restaurant.

She can also ask for adult items to be prepared without sauces, spices or with alternative side dishes. If she doesn't care for a side dish listed on the adult entree she might like to order, most restaurants will allow substituting a side listed with another entree or a children's side dish.

She will be charged an adult credit or pay the adult price at buffets, all you care to eat family style venues, fixed price meals (CRT, Akershus, dinner shows) Fantasmic! and Candlelight Processional Dining Package and the family platter at Whispering Canyon Cafe.
