Pop Century Resort - Review

Hello all,

My wife and I recently had the opportunity to stay at the Pop Century Resort. It was our fist time staying at a Disney Value resort. Here are our impressions of the resort.

I Love Pop but understand it is not for everyone.The only thing I would advise about your review is that you are mis-informed about Pop being the only value resort with its own bus service AoA also has it's own,but am glad you enjoyed your trip overall.

You can charge up to $500 once you hit that limit they charge your card on file and the $500 limit starts all over again. When we have stayed at pop I stop at front desk a few days in and pay my balance so it doesn't become an issue.

It is also mis-information that the other value resorts always share buses. In my experiences they each have their own buses way more often than they share. They rarely share.

Also, as the Pop is 50% larger than each All Star, you have more people trying to get on the Pop buses. So the wait times may actually be more at the Pop than at the All Stars.

A lot of bus service is how lucky you are on that day. It can be great at the All Stars and stink at the Pop on any day. Or it could be great at the Pop and stink at the All Stars.

I have always loved pop even though it is not perfect. I think the bus transportation is the best of any resort. We will be there again, and recommend it to our friends.

Our family likes Pop over all other values. We stayed at Art of Animation last year and, although it was new and a nice resort, we liked staying at Pop better. We will be here again in September. Although if we had the extra money we would be staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge, my favorite resort.

With respect the Pop Century resort having dedicated transportation, We were only reporting on the information that was provided to us.

We apologize if this information in incorrect. Our intent was not to mis lead or mis inform. We just wanted to share our experience with tother.

We have since gone back and adjusted out blog post to reflect that other value resort also have dedicated busses.

I like your review pictures, very nice : ) We've stayed at Pop twice and enjoyed both our visits as well. The resort bus service, food offerings and room locations were very nice, and we had great CM and mousekeeping services with cute towel animals : ) Loved being able to decorate our window with disney characters and seeing others adorable window decorations.
We have stayed mainly at deluxe resorts during our many trips but enjoyed Pop very much. Of the deluxe, mod. and value I personally skip the mod. resorts and go deluxe or go value : )

Thanks for the review. Pop is one of the values I would like to try one day. Have been to both POR and POFQ and loved them.

Pictures are awesome.. What time did you have to go out to capture images without people walking around?

I took the pictures at about 1am. There were still people around so I used a shutter speed trick and left it open for a while which helps with removing moving objects from the frame too.
