Dude, I apologize for being so far behind!! Seriously...I started back on 5.9! How amazing all of your Dismeets are!! And what an amazing time with Carrie and Riley and a trip coming up in July. I have always wanted to go to Niagara Falls...my dilemma is that I plan trips to amazing places but Disney keeps calling! And I live way too far away for quick trips! Such a quandary! There was so much I read that I cannot possibly comment on so I'll just say this has to be the most epic birthday ever!!

Sorry I'm late to your trip report party. My family and I were there the same time! Had I realised we could have said hello. You look like you had an amazing time. I am thinking of a solo trip myself next year to coincide with D23 Expo in Anaheim and then on to Orlando. So you can see you inspire all sorts of things to occur! I even started my own TR for our last trip haha

Tisa, the fact that you started this comment with "Dude" makes it all a-okay in my book. The DISmeets this trip really were the difference maker. I don't know that I'll ever be able to top this trip. You and I share the same problem... so many places to see... ooh Disney! This is why I never get anywhere else.
I can honestly say that this was without a doubt my best birthday (week) ever. No contest.

There's no such thing as late Darren! WELCOME! I wish I'd known that too. I love meeting DISers. I'm glad my soloing helps anyone get over the fear or apprehension of going to Disney alone. It really is a unique experience.

She was so kind Lauren. They really are the difference maker. I think I'm going to steal an idea I heard and start bringing little Thank You cards for the CM's. I love letting them know how much they enhance a trip.

I am a big time DIS lurker. I love to read TR's but rarely comment on them. But your TR's are amazing! My emotions have run from smiling to laughing to crying!!!

I truly hope that our Disney trips overlap sometime as I would be honored to meet you! Though you are coming to my neck of the woods as we live only about 20 minutes from the Niagara Falls Canadian border. Enjoy the Falls and Toronto. Watch out for the roller coasters at Canada's Wonderland- they're wild to say the least!

It's taken me a few days and DIS-sessions to get caught up, but I'm caught up. And now I can't remember even remember what I was going to comment on. (Which is why it's not good to let yourself get behind like this.) What I can remember were: Aurora's new dress. Yes, I was thinking that something about her seems different than the pictures my daughter got with her back in '12. Verena. Now I'd like to find her in the Emporium and get a picture with her, what a sweetie. Carrie and Riley. It's obvious you're having a blast with them, so glad you got to meet up and become great friends.

My heart melted a bit at the Duffy picture. My daughter has a Duffy bear we got last Christmas when we were there. It's been sooooo well loved since then that we will have to pick up another (replacement - just in case!) one when we go in October!

Yeah, it probably is Amber. But the whole "screaming and panicking" pose that everyone else did just seems like its been done to death.

It was so sweet The cards are quite cool. And OMG that penny. That touched me so much given my Big Al obsession. Just an amazing kid.

They are fun, and I have every intention of finding every one of them.

Awwww KATT!!!!!!! Reading that REALLY made me smile. Like for reals. I guess I never really thought about it like that. That guests can help the CM's enjoy what they do even more. I guess with all your "inside" contacts, you would definitely know that. And that makes me even more happy. Because for me (and I know many many others), they are the Disney difference. And pretty soon, that will be you!!!!!

Haha, I had so much fun the night before, may as well do it again, lol. OMG it was ridiculously hard. I think there might be a sign somewhere there with the total on it, so you didn't really cheat.

It was such an improvement and now apparently the old dress is back. Not good. Venena was so lovely. I hope everyone stops to see her and gets photos with her. I would just simply love to hear that.
Oh Lord, I really did have an absolute blast. I can say with certainty that everyone I met I consider a real friend. I can't wait to get to Niagara and see these 2 again.

Day 8 – December 10, 2013 Part 3



The time had finally come for me to experience Enchanted Tales with Belle.
I had heard so much and seen so many photos, that I was really anxious to see it all myself.

The 30 minute wait time wasn’t bad at all, but we had FP+ since this FP+ was initially our designed meeting place.
Mine didn’t work of course, but they sent me along anyway, so all my fretting over having the extra documentation was all for nothing.

Apparently you bypass quite a bit when using FP, which to my understanding is quite unfortunate as there is a lot of great detail that is missed.
Nonetheless, my main goal was to experience the show itself and, probably more than anything, witness this transformation in person.

It really gives new meaning and positive spin to the phrase, “You Make a Better Door than a Window.”
Yes, I know it's a mirror, but "Better door than a mirror" sounds stupid.

This alone was worth the wait and I was VERY impressed.
Sadly I wasn’t in a great spot for photos, but just like everyone else, I was blown away by the theming and amazing “enchantment” on display.

I was really more interested in watching anyway.

Disney has really come a long way with Audio-Animatronics, and the ones on display here are spectacular.
I guess you could say they are indeed animatronically correct.

When we arrived into the main room, Carrie and Riley immediately snagged some front row seats, but no room for me.

I eventually found a spot in the back after the CM’s made everyone move to make room like they were parting the Red Sea.
They know a VIP when they see him.
Yup… I love me some Disney CM’s, and it actually turned out to be a pretty darn good spot.

While the Wardrobe was impressive, Lumiere was freakin’ awesome wicked cool… If this is the future, the future is indeed bright.

The show itself it really really cute, especially with a Beast like we had…

Overall I quite enjoyed it.
The concept is good, and I like that it’s pretty interactive and also fairly intimate.

Is it a must do for me though? Probably not.

I’d heard that photos with Belle were limited to the show performers, but whether that’s true or not, Riley was asked if she wanted a photo.
Perhaps it was the birthday button… which I of course will take full credit for.

I even got a bookmark as a souvenir of my first Enchanted Tale, which is a nice touch as well.

After Enchanted Tales, we went to get our party bracelets and then heard the music of Move It Shake It.
So as I usually do, I settled in.

Mr. Incredible was amazing to watch, though there were some moments where I wanted to shield Riley’s eyes as some of his moves were slightly “adult”.
Heck, I considered shielding my own eyes…. Lots of gyrating and pelvic thrusts on that guy.

And then there was Genie.

His float ended up stopping right in front of us, and he absolutely LOVED Riley (but who can blame him really.)

He continuously blew kisses, mimed “call me” many times, and also made “heart hands” (to the best of his ability), which I was able to capture.

It was so great to watch.
Carrie even mentioned that as Riley has gotten older, she’s gotten a bit less character attention over time.
Genie changed all that here.

I knew right then and there that meeting Genie was going to be a top priority for later.

We were all feeling a bit peckish after Moving and Shaking it… and… oh yes… Celebrating it.

It was still too early for the free party snacks, so we headed to the only place that would do for a snack and got this.

OH YEAH YUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Excitedly, I was even finally able to get a picture in Gaston’s chair as it was empty which almost never happens.

We all finished our Brews before heading outside to see if just maybe Gaston was out visiting.

But alas, he was not,
So I suggested Carrie meet with an almost picture perfect substitute, who I believe is a much better option than Gaston anyway…

Animatronically correct! What a great term!! I bet some big wig at Disney is going to start using that soon!

I felt the same way about EtWB. Glad to have witnessed it, but not a must-do. If I had a young kid with me though, I am sure I would feel different. I hope to have my niece and nephew come with me in May of next year and I will definitely take them to EtWB!
