Park hopper / ticketed event

Hi everyone,
My family and I are planning a huge trip for Oct 2015, I know this is way early, but I have a question about park hopper tickets. I will have 2 girls aged 7 and 9, so thinking that more than one park a day will be too tiring. The only time we would want to do 2 parks in one day is for MNSSHP. Can you visit a different park in the morning, then use your MNSSHP ticket in the MK without a park hopper ticket?
TIA for any advice!
Cheers, Skye

Yes. The MNSSHP is a separate ticketed event and therefore you do not use one of the days on your regular park ticket to enter.

Thank you! Was getting a little confused, and if we can skip the hopper option and save a few dollars even better!

As far as I know, you must have a ticket for Magic Kingdom as well as the mnsshp ticket to attend the party. I could be wrong but that's the impression I am under.

Nope, that's not correct. You can enter the MK for the party as early as 4:00 (it starts at 7:00) and you only need a party ticket. If you want to enter the MK before 4:00, then you would need a regular ticket.

Just spoke with a Cast Member and they did confirm siskaren's post. Just the event ticket is needed after 4:00, sorry if i caused anymore confusion.
