Poly Royal Adventure.ClubLevelBaby!5/14 DIAGON ALLEY BONUS Finale 7/15

Great updates. Funny about the BoG fastpass. We never got the email either but booked it from the link I got on here. It never even occurred to me that I wasn't supposed to so that. As you said, if it was exclusive, like a pin, it wouldn't have been so easy to do ; )

Will have to check out the jamboree on our next trip. I too haven't been there since childhood so I think a bit of nostalgia is in order.

I really wonder how much longer the FP for BoG will be available! I am glad we have gotten to take advantage of it, as man, that line is long in the hot sun!!

CBJ seems to be targeted towards adults who have nostalgia for the ride. I am not sure how it would hold up as a new attraction today!

I just came across this and it is a great report so far.

We have to go in Country Bear Jamboree once every trip and it is a similar story to you. It is funny, but the Country Bears is the ONLY and I mean ONLY attraction I can remember from a trip we took to Disney World when I was a child. Of all those rides the only thing I remember is the Country Bears, so with that in mind we have to go in there at least once on every trip.

Can't wait for more!

The absolutely only thing I can remember from my first trip (besides camping at Ft. Wilderness and my dad getting attacked with biting flies) is Tonga Toast from Poly for breakfast! My parents could have saved the cost of a ticket. ;)

Looks like you have quite a trip coming up! Land and Sea!!

I'm following along! The day you arrived in WDW was the day we left from our most recent drip. Depressing..but I am excited to read about your adventures anyway! :)

You need to start planning your next trip right away! Only way to take out that sting of having the vacation end!

May was a really nice time to go I thought. Warm, but manageable in the shade. Crowds, but not the summer/holiday elbow to elbow.

I am learning so much from your trip report it has been way too long since our last trip. BOG didn't even exist at the time. So miss WDW and my girls do too. We have to start saving up some money. But for now I'm loving hearing about your trip and I'm taking notes! :surfweb: :thumbsup2:

We've dined at BOG only for dinners so far and haven't had a chance to venture into FP territory. For our October trip I'm planning for a BOG lunch so I'll definitely be looking to book some FP+s.

Showbizz Pizza! I totally forgot about that little piece of childhood memory. :lmao:

So glad you were able to get one last look at the water fountain in the Poly lobby.

I totally agree that the last row on BTMRR is the way to go. :thumbsup2

I'm really enjoying your report - especially since you're staying Poly CL :beach:

Too bad about the many whining CMs. I have experienced that too and it definitely puts a damper on things - but IME the top-notch CMs tend to make up for them.

Wonderful photos and what a good-looking couple :wizard: Can't wait to read more.

P.S. Your MBs are FABULOUS!

….Well, just give me Liberty Tree Tavern!

Now we were heading off to one of my favorite spots for dinner! Liberty Tree Tavern! Quick...you are trapped on a desert island with only one food choice forever...what would you pick?

I would choose a food with a high density nutritional value...stuffing!!!

Oh wait, did I say nutritional, I meant tastiness. :rotfl:

There was quite a crowd!! I found a spot to wait at the fireplace and leaned up against the flamesless spot.

Finally our party “from the great State of Virginia!!” was called out.

For those who have never been, at dinner time, you have basically one (delicious) choice:
Declaration Salad - Tossed Mixed Greens with Vinaigrette Dressing
and the
Patriot's Platter - Roasted Turkey Breast, Carved Beef, and Smoked Pork Loin with Mashed Potatoes, seasonal Vegetables, Herb Bread Stuffing, and Macaroni & Cheese

We do not eat meat, so a bit of a rip off for us. This is still one of my favorite places for dinner (in fact was my #1 until we went to California Grill this trip!). But there is some protein in the mac and cheese I think. First time we went our waiter was so nice and helpful and substituted a veggie burger for the meats. The time we went in October though, our waitress was missing some “Ye Ole hospitality” and was like “no” to substitutions. Then this time, we had a waiter who brought us 2 quinoa burgers without us even asking!

I also enjoy that there are no characters around. Blasphemy, I know! The only negative I can see is the limited restrooms. Way too small for a restaurant that size!

So...much….deliciousness

There was no stuffing though. Will says to me that maybe since we got the Quinoa burgers, we would not be given the stuffing. My face fell as I tried to understand this logic. I had been eating well and exercising for months. One of my motivations had been imaging the stuffing and eating all I wanted. Will panicked when he saw my face and started backpedalling saying, I am sure stuffing is coming! Don’t be sad! I’ll go back there and cook it myself!
Drama was unnecessary as shortly, our waiter dropped off this beauty:

We were so full, and it looked like we had hardly touched our food! We felt we could not get the Dessert because we would only take a few bites and felt that was a waste. Now if the dessert was something chocolate, we would have ordered it, but the Appleseed Cake was not worth it to us.

I felt uncomfortably full as we waddled out of LTT. I knew we would not be up for anything wild, so we got a FP+ for Under the Sea!

I love happy endings

Overall, I felt the FP+ system worked really well for us today. It seems to be especially beneficial if you are getting to the park late on your arrival day. FP+ pre-planned.

We felt satisfied with the day, and also pretty exhausted. We decided to take the Train from FL to Main street and give our feet a little rest.

We made it back in time to shower, get some desserts from the lounge, and for WISHES!

Goodnight my friends! I can't believe that was just our first day!

Just think how prepared you will be when you are ready!!! Disboards is just chocked full of info. I like that WDW adds new things to try, but keeps the golden oldies as well! Though I miss Mr. Toad's Wild Ride!

I surprised myself, but I actually enjoyed BoG lunch more! The menu, IMHO, had better choices and you could sit were you wanted to.

Showbizz! How could Billy Bob have been bought out?!

I'm subbing! Hopefully I'll go back to read and comment later today. :)

I hope work went well for you today! Back to the grind to make money for the next vacation!

I hope you do a TR from the most recent trip! You have such funny insights and great pics (no pressure ;) )

Well Gawrsh! Thanks!

I agree, there are some amazing CM out there! I like to make compliment cards for them, as I would rather promote good service than complain!!

OMG totally remember showbiz pizza. Sadly it succumbed to that other mouse mr. Cheese.

Glad to see you all are having such good luck with multiple passes. Good to hear some of the changes are making positive impact.

Great run down of liberty tree. Plan on giving it a lunchtime run next trip just so I can try the toffee cake. Think the pilgrims platter just made its way to my plans too.

Hi Elena! I laughed my way through your first trip report, so I was pleased to see another!

That's disappointing that you encountered so many complaining cms. A couple years ago, I was making conversation with a mousekeeper while waiting for an elevator. I asked her if she enjoyed working for Disney, and her reply was "Not at all." Yikes!

I love CBJ! I've even gone by myself because no one wants to go anymore. I agree that it is nostalgic and would probably not go over so well today.

I didn't know LTT had options for vegetarians. Good to know!

I've never stayed at the Polynesian, but it's on my bucket list. Enjoying your photos of that beautiful resort!

Next trip I plan on going to LTT for lunch....just to try the Toffee Cake!!! How can you pass something up with Ooey and Gooey in it's title?

Did they really call that out??

I think it goes something like this...the CM walks to the side of the waiting room and says, very loudly:
"Here ye! Here ye! Liberty Tree Tavern would now like to welcome the Smith family from the state of Virginia!". I think some added "great state". :)

I talked to one CM who was working a kiosk how his day was going, and he said "horrible" and that a vacationer was mean to him and made him cry. It was, uh, not the answer I was expecting!

I think every restaurant now has at least one vegetarian option. Some are more inventive than others!

Definitely stay at Poly at some point. Pretty expensive but cheaper than Hawaii.:thumbsup2

Liberty Tree Tavern is great! We are going there for the holiday dinner before MVMCP this year! I think it will be fun to try their holiday feast!
