It will be our second Disney cruise. Our first will be in october this year also on the Fantasy but Eastern Caribbean.
We are so sure that we will love to cruise with Disney that we just went ahead and booked for 2015.

We are not booked on this cruise but we are working on getting the down payment money ready asap! This will be my family's second cruise. We sailed Magic in November 2013. I insisted that the next one be a Halloween cruise! It will be me (Shannon), DH (Mike), and 2 DS (Brandon - 11 & Evan - 5...currently, not at time of sailing).

Hi all,

I am super-new to these boards (only happened upon them when doing some research) and to DCL, but a couple of days ago, I put down a deposit on the 31 Oct 2015 cruise on Fantasy... so I guess I belong in this thread!

A bit about us. We're a small family of 4 from Sydney, Australia. There's me (Des), my wife (Janelle), and 2 daughters - Phoebe, who will be 7.5 at time of sailing and Bethany, who will be 2.5 ATOS. Our last big family trip was in 2012, a 5-week road trip through Southern California, southern Utah and Arizona, ending with a week in Anaheim. Loved the Disneyland experience, and can't wait to go visit the Mouse again. Phoebe was 4.5 and still remembers the trip fondly, and is super excited to go and see Disney World next year (she doesn't know anything about the cruise, and we may try to surprise her if we can keep it that way for the next 1.5 years...) Bethany won't have remembered much from the trip as she was hitching a ride inside Mum at the time. Maybe she remembers Splash Mountain - wifey went on it and promptly declared that I was in charge of testing all rides for the remainder of the trip and that she would not be going on anything more exciting than Splash Mountain!!

Haven't really confirmed the rest of the trip, but I daresay we will spend a week, maybe 2 weeks at WDW, and about a week checking out the other Orlando attractions and visiting family in the area.

The girls have never cruised before. Janelle and I have been on two cruises before, a South Pacific cruise in 2002 on the Pacific Sky out of Sydney, and an Alaskan small ship cruise in 2007 on the Spirit of '98 from Ketchikan to Juneau.

We took our first cruise November 2012 on the Magic, than our second November 2013 on the Fantasy. Can't wait to get back on board...

My sister and her family might come they are in Sweden.

I'm also going on this cruise with my husband. This will be our 3rd Halloween cruise (honeymoon & 2 anniversary, we got married on Halloween). We would also like to participate in the FE exchange. I do have a question about it, do we have to "bring/buy" gifts for example 50 people/staterooms (& all the people who sign up for it) or do we do gifts for one stateroom (all the people in that stateroom)? Doesn't it get pricey for gifts if we do 50 people/staterooms?
If we don't have kids can we still participate in it?

Typically, people in the FE each decide for themselves. You can choose to bring one gift per stateroom, or a gift for each person in that stateroom.
